These Rescue Team games are always a must buy for me. The game runs smoothly and the graphics are always clear. I've been waiting a long time for the newest version and it doesn't disappoint! It has the usual necessities to complete the level without being overly difficult. You collect or buy food, wood, money and gasoline. You can play in timed, easy, or relaxed mode. Some levels are a bit challenging, but it wouldn't be any fun if it was all easy!
These games are a must buy for me. I love the music and graphics. They objects are sometimes hidden very well. Love that we have to find cats. I only wish there were more to be found.
I've been waiting a while for a new Rescue Team to show up. There are cats and dogs to rescue in this one, along with the usual elements that are common to this series. You need to plan wisely when choosing a building for a new site. Look for what's needed ie: whether it be more food, gas, lumber or gas. There is also a new museum next to the store where you collect rare artifacts. I'm not sure how that works yet, but I look forward to finding out. The usual game play settings such as timed, relaxed, easy or hard are all present. It is a total must-have for me. I am definitely enjoying it.
I was not disappointed in this latest installment of Northern Tales. I had no problems playing the game. It's all working fine on my older Windows 10 PC. The graphics are great, clear and sharp. This time around there are some changes to what you collect, but I didn't take the time to document it as I played, sorry. There is a relaxed and timed mode. I always choose relaxed so I can't speak to how hard each level is on timed. It's a win for me. I've enjoyed the demo so much that I purchased the game.
The graphics are absolutely top notch! So stunning! Right from the opening scene of Santa and his reindeer gliding through the snow, it brings you into the world of Christmastime. The creators of the Jewel Match games really know how to create a soothing play environment. The music and environment sounds are not overpowering, but if you don't like it, there are customizations to make adjustments. I found it soothing and peaceful. You can play with tutorials or not. All the modes of play are present: relaxed, timed, etc. with three difficulty choices: normal, advanced and insane. I always play on relaxed, so I can't speak to how hard the other modes are. It's pretty much the same play action as any of the other Jewel Match games. You match 3 or more to drop your trinkets and move to the next room. You earn power ups when combining multiples of 4 or more. They help you overcome obstacles. You keep going back and forth until all rooms are cleared and completed, then you move on to the next level. You earn points to build a cozy village with festive houses. There are over 200 levels of play. In this Collector's Edition there are an additional 60 bonus levels as well as new game features that I have yet to explore. I'm looking forward to buying it and digging in more. So much fun is just waiting at your fingertips!
I really enjoy this game. I only play games in timeless or relax mode, so I do not experience the challenges that some reviewers faced when playing in other modes. This game is relaxing and challenging. It's easy enough to learn, and does get a bit difficult as you win each level. But it isn't so difficult that I fail it completely. At least, not in timeless mode. Yes, the screen is quite dark when you click to rebuild the house and grounds, but that's minor to me. Of course it would be nice to see what I'm fixing up, but I don't care enough about it to bother me. It doesn't affect the actual game play. I found the colors in the game to be bright and fun. I love Halloween themed games that aren't about ghosts or scary stories. For me, this game is quite fun and addicting.
I'm a huge fan of this Travel to * games. They seem very simple, but some of the objects are a bit challenging to find. I always love the choice of music. I bought this one to add it to my collection.
This is such a fun and unique game! I love anything to do with cats. This game can be a little challenging, even in Relaxed mode. But the fun factor is definitely there. Not so sure I care for the storyline, that's something I usually ignore anyway. You have to put your thinking caps to figure out how to break all the boxes so "Tim" will move.
I have waited a really long time for another in this series. So as soon as I saw this game, I knew I would have to buy it. I play the other 2 games constantly.
The newest version of this series is pretty much the same gameplay as the previous. You make bombs by grouping 5 or more, and you make Amphora's by grouping 4. The exception is now there is more commentary from a lass after every game (very annoying, but I turned her voice off), and a Donkey that I must remember to tend to. (I sort of like that addition)
So far I have played the first 8 games in the demo before purchasing it. Every single level plays like a tutorial. I find this super annoying, but I understand why they have it. It's handy if you've never played. However, it really should have an option to turn it off. I also hate being forced into making moves it wants me to choose before I can even play the game. Another thing, upon first opening the game, you do not choose your avatar or Relaxed or Timed mode until after you've played the first round. I did not care for that at all. I'm experienced with the features, such as bombs and the like, so I should have the option to turn off anything that's repetitive, like tips and tutorials.
There is a Relaxed and Timed mode just like the previous two games. The same options to adjust voice, music and soundFX. You can still skip MiniGames and change the cursor. I prefer playing in Relaxed mode because I hate time pressures. I know others feel differently and like the challenge it presents.
I always like to read all reviews before downloading any game so that I can get a feel for what I'm going to play. One reviewer says the game gets harder as you go along. So far, I have not seen that happen, but I'm not very far in. Maybe it will get harder after the first 10 levels? Or maybe it only happens in Timed mode? I don't know yet.
I did purchase the game after playing the demo. I still love the game. It's enjoyable to play, and so far very relaxing. I can only hope the developers pay attention to the reviews, and take my hint to add more options the next time around.
