Others have submitted in-depth reviews - so I won't. I just wanted to thank these devs for making their games available to those of us who cannot afford to upgrade our computers every five minutes! Thank you for making it possible to keep playing new games!
I just want to thank the developers for including earlier operating systems - hardly any other devs do. I used to buy lots of games regularly, but my OS was slowly phased out. Not very good for the business of selling games IMHO. so ............ THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING MY OS!
Oh - I really enjoyed this game! My fellow gamers have submitted excellent reviews - no need for me to write one too!
Since I only have OS 10.6 the number of new games I can buy is almost non-existent. So I started buying older games like Brassfield Manor among others. What a treat! The games are fresher, more witty, and more fun than current ones. The devs seem more energetic. More and more posted comments refer to same old same old game genres. Brassfield Manor was so much fun. If you're feeling a bit bored with the new - definitely take another look at the older games!
At least one developer has opted not to take us to yet another gothic realm! I understand developers have vast libraries of graphics, music, and FX for tales of wizards, monsters, and faeries. But please create more games like this - in modern times please!
My fellow reviewers have done a marvellous job describing the many reasons why this game is such a hit. I just wanted to add how happy I am to have a game that doesn't take us to yet another fairy land - full of over-used dragons, evil witches and wizards, dark caverns, and cutesy elves! Please give us more games set in modern times!
The main thing I like about this game is that it's NOT set in yet ANOTHER fairy kingdom! At last! A game set in this century! Thank you, Eipix .... I am really, really tired of gnomes, faeries, king & queens, dragons, witches, princesses, and wizards. Please, developers, give us games with modern story lines!
I buy many HOS adventure games from Big Fish, and I truly enjoy them. But when I want to relax with a game I never get tired of - it's Jewel Quest III Solitaire for me! It's a wonderful combination of Jewel Quest with the added bonus of a creative solitaire round added to each level. The levels become progressively harder as you go. And there's puzzles you have to complete to finish each level. And, if that's not enough, you have to find and arrange the artifacts in the correct order on the pedestals! Watch for the puzzle that gives you the code to open the safe at the very end. Best Jewel Quest ever!
You’re on a train in the middle of nowhere, and a band of dangerous thieves demand you tell them where to find the Hope Diamond’s shards. As the newest Hidden Expedition recruit, you’ve got to find the shards before they do…
I haven't given a 5 star rating in a long time. This game deserves it. My fellow reviewers have written great reviews with all the details. I just want to thank the developers for giving us a game that doesn't rehash stories with witches, monsters, lost sisters, and dark locations. I don't think I'll be buying any more of that kind of game. It was fun to have a modern story in modern locations. And it was a hoot to see a couple of scenes from the original Hidden Expedition HOG's!
I like to relax with games of this genre. While I think the World Riddles games are the best of the bunch - this one is OK. I found the regular gameplay too easy. But the Bonus games were better than the main game. So it's not a bad buy - especially if you have a coupon.
I have every Poe story - and I was going to buy this one without even a test drive. I'm glad I didn't. Very early in the game - just inside the mansion - I needed to zoom in on a tree covered in ravens. The Hint said so, and the SG said so. But I couldn't. So I can't go any further. Bummer. This series is one of the very best out there. What I saw so far was great. All the bells and whistles - plus a few new ones. I really hope this gets fixed soon!!! I'm rating it 5 stars - even with the glitch - because I'm sure it's a great game.
