A fire breaks out during a concert, and now your daughters are both missing. Hurry to track them down – their music may hold the key to life and death!
I know this is a late review, but I wanted these developers to know how much I enjoyed playing this game. Specifically, the puzzles and mini-games (which I love) were different and very challenging. I had to skip a couple of them, and I hate doing that. This is one time when I wish I had bought the CE so I'd have access to the SG. The hidden object scenes were varied and challenging as well. It was a nice looooong game; it's a good thing the map was there as I couldn't remember all the different scenes. While the graphics weren't as crisp as some others, this wasn't a deal-breaker for me. Good music, too. The only thing I didn't like was the sparkles on hidden object scenes and no way to shut them off. I prefer to find the scenes myself; sparkles shouldn't be present on advanced/expert levels of game play. Overall, it is a great game with lots of things to do, places to go, and games to play. I loved playing it.
I very much enjoyed playing this game. It had limited dialogue (yes!); the minigames were varied and challenging (yes!); lots of places to explore (yes!); a variety of hidden object scenes (yes!); and the length was generous (yes!). Now if only we can get this developer to stop with the sparkles already. Please give us the option to turn these intrusive and bothersome pests off! Otherwise, this would have been a 4+ game. A great game.
Just like everyone else, I was so excited to finally get a new MCF. It is a great game, and I'm having a wonderful time with it. But....it seems to be more of another Elephant game. Now, don't get me wrong, Elephant games are one of my favorites. I just don't expect to see the same common, bland, recurring "problems"--ie, having to find a zipper pull, in a MCF. Such "issues" are found in nearly every game developed these days. No, I expect MCF to be new and innovative, not run-of-the-mill. Although I haven't finished the whole game, I'm not seeing, or feeling, any of the humor/fun usually associated with this series. The story and interactions are serious, maybe a bit too serious. The atmosphere just isn't quite right. Who can forget the "Smash the Groundhog" #or whatever# in the original RTR? And the scare factor of pulling back a shower curtain and finding a mannequin hanging there. Those made me laugh; I haven't laughed in this game--yet. Having said all this, I absolutely love the puzzles which make absolutely no sense at all which is part of the fun of solving them. Overall, a very good game; I'm having a good time. It just isn't the same.
I actually liked this game but gave it only 3 stars for one reason only. Even on the expert mode of play, hidden object scenes have sparkles!!! I hate sparkles. Despite indicating no sparkles on the expert mode, there they are. Still on the fence if I'm going to buy.

PuppetShow: Lightning Strikes Collector's Edition
The women of Paris are being turned into puppets! Can you find out who's pulling the strings?
If I could, I would rate this game a 3.5. It was fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, the only reason I didn't give it 4 stars was because of the atrocious grammatical errors. I didn't really notice at the beginning, but as the game progressed, the grammar became increasingly worse. Does anyone do quality control on these games, I wonder?
I recommend this game!

Witch Hunters: Full Moon Ceremony
Defeat the evil witches and save the world from eternal darkness!
I found this game very much fun and challenging. I admit the storyline was a bit confusing, but if you're looking for great game play, this is for you. The hidden-object scenes were only lists with minimal interaction which was a negative, and there were only 3 livels of play (no custom). Thank goodness there was a transporting map because there was a great deal of back and forth. If you get past all that, the game was entertaining with lots to do. Give it a shot.
Overall, I've been somewhat dissapointed with the past two games from this developer. Where they used to be top notch, in my opinion, this game is just "OK". There just doesn't seem to be anything new or exciting. Maybe I've played too many of this type of game, but it's taking more to grab my attention. There is the obligatory fire scene at the beginning of the game #yawn#. Then there is THAT DEVICE. I hate devices; they seem silly and childish to me. Probably won't be buying this one, either, even with a sale. Disappointing.
First of all, it appears as if this game was developed by someone who does not have a good grip of the English language. Numerous language errors in the first few minutes. I could probably have put up with that, but even playing "expert" level there were sparkles everywhere. In my opinion, it is inexcuseable to have sparkles on a supposed high level of play. That did it for me.
To say I'm disappointed in this developer's latest production is putting my sentiments mildly. This particular game must have been assigned to the junior varsity crew. The Belle character needed an actress that didn't sound like she was reading the dialogue; the "minigames" were childishly simple to the point where I was almost offended; and I don't know what exactly this story was about. Very unlike this particular developer who usually puts out a more creative and challenging game. I couldn't wait until it was over.
Occasionally BigFish has a "soft release" that turns out to be quite a hit, and this is one of those games. This game is absolutely fun and funny. While you get a cat "helper"; it isn't quite like other helpers we've seen in the past. Sometimes you might get a little too much help from him, but he really is a "hoot". Plus he can dance! Anyway, these developers have a great sense of humor; the HOS are very elaborate and quite entertaining. The puzzles are challenging (playing on hard mode). It all comes together to make one heck of a great game. Don't let this one get away!
