I just get to the last couple of pictures in one of these games and out comes another...they must calculate how long it takes the average person to finish one and have the next ready to go. I buy these without doing the demo because every one except the first one has been such fun. I love the huge pictures that have lots of one colour here and there so I can just sweep my mouse around and enjoy myself, not to mention being a notorious "clicker" I can click around to my heart's content. Keep them coming!!
I had to get my original review removed because I figured out a bunch of options that I didn't see at first. This game is actually more precise than Pixel Art and better pictures!! With 40 colours there is a lot more to do. I do get a little annoyed with the paintbrush popping up every time you hit another milestone but it doesn't stick around long...just long enough to obscure the picture so you can make a mistake. Then I found out that you can have the finished colours stay that way with the relaxed version. I don't pay much attention to how many of each symbol are in the picture so I do find myself looking for ones that are no longer in play-it doesn't jump to the next colour-one game kept jumping to number one whereas Pixel Art jumps you to the next one after the one you've done-I would prefer this but not a deal breaker. It looks like there are tons of pictures-each planet has a selection & you don't have to do them in any order.
A die hard Pixel Art player I could never get the attraction of hand holding in such an easy game format..I saw all the fantastic pictures in the ad for this game and thought...darn...if only it would be more challenging...well after playing around with settings- they don't tell you which settings do what so it's a lot of chose-play-chose-play until you get it the way you like it. I don't like my numbers highlighted or hovered over the picture & got rid of the custom paint brush...NOW I'm hooked-I've even gone back to the previous versions and every one except #1 can be manipulated to my liking...OH such joy...since the pictures are SO Much more attractive than the pixel art ones I will be a happy camper for a long time to come.
I chose expert as the difficulty and said NO to the pop ups for how to play...and yet they STILL came over and over interrupting my game-otherwise I enjoy the game but when I say no, I mean no
I love it when games are all puzzles that we usually only find occasionally in hidden object games. Only have done a few levels and it's a definite buy!
while this has a feature that I wish pixel art had-the number of items in one color group-it still doesn't appeal to me as much. I noticed that every time I wanted to do a higher number after it finished it kept going back to the number 1 or the first number still needing to be completed. The colors are wonderful and the pictures are intriguing but I guess I just prefer the open format of pixel more than the blocked off sections in this type of game
I don't know why it took me so long to discover this game-perhaps it was the similar Paint By Number which annoyed me that discouraged me. In Paint you can basically just hover the mouse over the whole picture and it just fills it in for you..where is the fun in that? With Pixel you have to do a lot more work- with a lot more precision and yes, can make mistakes but aren't penalized for doing so. I'm a big DOTZ fan and it's nice to have a similar game without having to search for stray dotz all over the living room each day. At first I was unhappy that each number tends to highlight in some manner in the picture but after doing some for over 2 hours I have to admit that this feature is becoming a lot more attractive..LOL
I do have an issue with all the Pixel games-I'm an avid clicker and frequently double click & find it filling in whole areas or worst yet-REMOVING whole sections of already colored areas-I wish there was an option to disable that feature. I also find that I think I've clicked on a color only to see it hasn't registered and sometimes it changes to a whole different section of numbers and moves my picture.
Of course the most fun is finishing the first set of pictures to see what the remaining ones are...keep them coming!!
usually you only see games like this as puzzles in hidden object games. How intriguing to find a game full of these puzzles. At first I didn't know what I was doing but went back to the page on Big Fish and saw the video and the comments and have now figured some of it out....looking forward to figuring out the rest
Wasn't sure about this one at first. There's a lot going on-mostly it is a one up/down solitaire game which is pretty easy and you can still advance even if you don't clear the board. There's hidden objects that have time running down but you still can finish after that runs out. Wound up buying it-have to see how it ends..LOL
