I think I'm playing something different. This M3 has so many different options to choose how to play! Not only does it have the usual Match 3 style, but it also has 3 other modes of layout. There are options at the bottom to choose: Match 3 or more by switching the pieces. Match 3+ by dragging rows and columns. Match groups of 3+. And Match 3+ by holding and dragging to form a group/section. And if that isn't enough, There are arrows at the bottom to rotate the board to make it easier to make matches. I may be completely out the loop on M3 type games, because this the first one with so many different options. They also give you a chance to earn or buy bombs. I'm so glad I found this little gem! Please try before you buy and go through the tutorial. It is worth it! Happy Swimming!

First off: I could do without the pieces flying like whirly birds when collected. Very distracting. BUT! This is my only qualm! This game is a stress reliever. It has been stayed put in my game manager since purchase. I play it, if even for only a few levels each night before bed. It is a usual M3 game, with the the bombs after combining 5+ or clearing a row/column after combining 4, etc. There are levels that require a certain amount of items collected before completion...20 Teacups and 30 Cranes. (Hence the first comment...as they are collected, they go flying across the board like whirly birds before being counted. Makes it hard to see the board for 1-3 secs.) Also, there are some levels that require a certain # of flowers fall off the board or paintbrushes be collected. Then you have different options to purchase walking stone paths, plants, trees, statues, ponds, benches, lights, even sand plots to decorate your garden. There are 6 gardens(some unlock after certain levels) total. Very relaxing and a good stress reliever!

*Based on 1 hour Demo* The middle photo of previews is pretty much what most of this game is like. It starts off with putting together puzzle pieces, then on to 'decluttering' a pile to find matches of 2...then on to another pile to find matches of 2 and 3...and so on and so on. It is the same items, just in different piles to search through. Some may like something simple like this as a time waster. Me? Not so much. Like another reviewer stated; To Each His Own. The music was pleasant and it seemed like it had somewhat of a story-line though.
I don't recommend this game.

There are options, but it's still bad.

fromCovering my eyes to not have to look anymore. Jeesh. :/
I found out there are options to lower the volume, and zoom in to see the graphics if you read the tutorials offered.(to zoom, you MUST have a mouse with a scroll wheel to zoom)...HOWEVER...the graphics are truly dark and terrible. I wonder if this is the developers first game? It is very rudimentary. I even put 4 'bars' on the "Level of Challenge indicater because it is a headscratcher to figure out what you're supposed to do or look for. (hint? practically nothing in all the darkness of the screen) I would not recommend even playing the trial. Use your own judgement.

I usually don't post a review based on a demo only, but this one is different...for me at least. The graphics are better than I was expecting. The timed play was challenging, but easy enough to play. Keeps you on your toes, for sure, if playing timed. I will not be purcasing because it did get slightly repetitive after a while, but others may enjoy it for a rainy day type game. Maybe even a relaxing play on the untimed setting. Try it first, then decide.
Based on Demo: The Story is already described above…” Every twenty years, the heirs to the four kingdoms are gathered for a ceremony that keeps war from spreading through the land. This year, an evil force has other plans in mind. It’s up to you as the heir to the Earth Kingdom to save your friends and the world! Can you uncover the secrets of the Lost Kingdom before it’s too late?” It’s WONDERFUL to see a CE with enough extras to make it worth the purchase, and ERS did not disappoint! DEFINITELY buying this in 4 days with my credits. HOPS: 10-15, word-lists with a objects requiring interaction. Find a Moon in every Hidden Object Scene. PUZZLES: Mainly easy. SOUND: Voice Overs, Music for scenes, all gentle, relaxing , Not annoying to me, but I like to play with sound on to enjoy the full game. INVENTORY: Lockable JOURNAL:No
This Collector's Edition has: 14 Movies 10 Wallpapers 10 Concept Art 9 Avatars 6 Screensavers 16 Mini Games A Section titled “Endless MG” that unlocks during gameplay (Unknown for now) 10 Portraits 4 Music Files 20 Collectibles=Crowns of different designs 22 Replayable HOGs 20 Achievements 8 Cats to collect ? Moons to collect in HOS to “View your Moon Horoscope” Test= Not available during demo Built in Strategy Guide Main Story, Extra Story & Bonus Story 4 Levels of Difficulty; Princess, Heiress, Queen, & Brave Lady
Like with every game, I would always suggest you try before you buy.
See that? I made a punny in the title..tee hee hee...Anywho... I really wanted to like this game, and I think the little Goo Guy is ADORABLE...However...the movement in the game is horrendous! I only got play the first level bfore I got nauseous. I think that some would really enjoy this, just not my stomach. There really should be a warning when the game starts to notify players of the swirling motions requiered in the game.
I would recommend this to those that are NOT effected by motion sicknes.
This one has A LOT of collectibles to keep you busy! If you read the description, you already know what the story is about so I will not rehash it here. Now onto the playability! Some inventory items have a “plus” sign with it meaning it requires an extra action before becoming useful. This game has those items, however, sometimes a last piece or action will come later in the game play before the inventory item is useful, so please be patient. The graphics are pretty pleasant, not high definition or stellar, but passable. The voices sometimes don’t match the lips moving, almost like a second long delay. Again, passable. The “Twilight World” part comes from the scenes will change between worlds; the normal reality & magical reality. **A Magic Sphere transforms the worlds using 3 purple crystals each time. The player needs to locate 3 crystals time they switch from one reality to the next.
The standard items that are included, aside from the Strategy Guide, Hint & Menu buttons? - Strategy Guide, (although would not function in demo version) -Teleporting Map…W/Map Keys and active locations. - Lockable Inventory -Magic Sphere, (use? Transporting between worlds) -Magic Box, (collect 5 Items to assist in game play. The Box will open when it is needed in a scene)
CE Extras? -11 Artworks -15 Wallpapers - 5 Music scores…downloadable -?? Achievements -COLLECTIBLES? -40 Cats, ?? Postcards, and ?? Rabbits…(some number amounts not shown) -A Quiz AFTER Main Game is completed.
All in all, I will buy this…right after I complete this review! I recommend everyone try the demo. If it is not your liking, simply uninstall and move on! If you find it appealing enough, buy it, use 2 club credits, or (what I usually do) wait for the credits to build, THEN buy!
Based on Demo Only… So much to do! I played the Demo; 90 minutes worth. Elephant Games has done it again! Extremely beautiful graphics and sound. I own the 1st Christmas Stories: The Nutcracker CE. Still waiting for my credits to build up to buy A Christmas Carol and now this?! WOW! I didn’t think any game would EVER come close to the breathtaking quality of graphics like The Nutcracker, but this one does. The Breakdown: - 4 modes; casual (Nina), advanced (Charlie), hardcore (Nutcracker), and customize. - Integrated SG which shows 6 Chapters plus the 2 Bonus chapters - 23 Achievements; finishing One Mini-Game in less than a Minute, pick-up 5 items in 5 seconds, etc. - 5 Choices of Music. - 16 Wallpapers - 20 Concept Art - 36 Puzzle Pieces to collect - 15 Miniature Cats to collect - 3 Screensavers that are created AFTER the Puzzle Pieces are collected. - ?Looked like an extra Bonus Game available after the full game is purchased. - Jumpable Map showing current location, still active locations, etc. - The Nutcracker and Charlie assist you in your quest, Charlie being the activity helper. - More Games to play (The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol) Demo versions? Not Sure)
There is clearly no shortage of fun, beauty, enchantment, delight, and a tad of mischief from the trolls in this Amazing CE. --The voice of Charlie was a bit robotic sounding, but a tiny thing like that is not keeping me away. I would definitely recommend this game, if not for the simple enjoyment I feel while playing! Keep Swimming Everyone!!! ~~My apologies for any incorrect numbers in this review. I do have brain damage problems, so I miscount sometimes.
I thought the demo went fine, so I used a coupon to buy it. Glad I used a coupon. After the demo, it went downhill. It seems to have have alot of components that are scatter-shot. Music did get annoying. The graphics are somewhat cartoonish and sometimes make no sense. ( I don't know how else to describe this, it's just what I feel.) After a while, I felt like I was just wandering around. This will not come back to my Game Manager ever. I feel somewhat scatter-brained after trying to play this. Ugh.
