I have only good memories to associate with Cake Mania. One of the reasons BFG's got my attention. This was a pretty new and cool way of playing games back when this original came out and it rocked. Obviously, it still does for it to have so many sequels! You ever want to try to be the cupcake queen? Try getting a little messy, or pre-cooking to keep up with your customers. You get to make cupcakes and watch your business grow as you upgrade. It always gets more challenging as you go, and you'll feel like you've had a full day at work after one of the harder frustrating levels. Great replay value ... makes me think of playing it again!
I decided after playing with the Farm Frenzy's that I should start off with the original version. I figured I'd work my way through it and just go through the Farm Frenzy series. I still have yet to work my way up (unless I wanted to cheat.) Want to play the most frustratingly heart racing farm game out there? Check this out. You think protecting those eggs or selling them is that easy? Don't even let me start you on the bears and how much space they take up! Can you multitask everything and keep up with how much time you have to do it in? You go from just little eggs to protecting to baking to making to selling. I can tell you that I love the upgrades, although that does not make the challenges any easier if anything! You gotta be money savvy with a stategy to get that gold medal. Check out the trial or online version, then compare it to the next in the line to see if you found it easier or more difficult. :)

This game seems to get better even after the first play. Ever read a book and wished that you could change something? This is sorta how the game goes. You realize that your choices have consequences, and you have to make your choices wisely to get what you want. Every choice has an effect on what happens later on, and this is what is so frustratingly thrilling about it. Are you the girl who prefers the extremely friendly gentleman (like Ashley) or the dark mysterious handsome guy (Rhett)? Do you have a very annoying guy chasing you (Urkle or Screech)? Or is there someone in the background that no one seems to notice as much. Are you willing to be cruel or overly nice? Do you want to be very smart or very social? What skills do you want to be seen through your personality and who will you end up with in the end? Will your family be happy, will you be happy, will the ending be happy? The fate is all in your own hands ... be careful, it might be a frustrating life!
If you're into HOS, this is the game for you. I love the detective work that is added to HOS, and then the evidence lab. The first problem is, at least for me, is that the game did not seem to run so smoothly and I felt like either the game or my system was out-of-date because of the problems I had while playing the game. I was unsure I would be able to complete the trial itself due to an error and then the screen going wacky. This game could be fun for sitting around and playing, but I admit I would probably get bored of so much HOS, and even though it seems to be a game that is intended to be repeated ... I don't think I would repeat it too often. The trial period with the malfunctions were not enough to convince me to go any further, although the malfunctions made me question if I trusted my computer more than the game. :) I'm sure there will be plenty of people who have enjoyed this game thoroughly with no complications, I hope. :)
I have been checking this time of stategy game out for awhile, and of course I got caught up with the upgrades and trying to get an A+ on each level. I'm still not completely finished with the game, but I love that I can come and go. I have to admit there are still some levels that I've gotten stuck and unable to complete ALL of the challenges, so I went forward hoping that coming back would make it easier...it's quite challenging on some and wonder who gets stuck on which level and if it varies. If you're looking for a game you can come and go and play or even just play throughout a day that's long but makes you think really hard, and you like little perks such as additional ways to winning the challenges, this is an interesting one. I, also, like the little video scenes they're cute and funny.
I'm quite impressed over the length of the game, since I assumed I would have spent only one night on the game. So, I gotta say that the length suprised me. I liked the interaction of hearing characters and other characters being around. I wish there was just a little bit more detail to the storyline, but since there is a sequel, maybe I missed a prequel? I have to say that I loved the audiotapes. I could go without the music and sounds other listening. The graphics were good, and I really enjoyed the puzzles. The Hidden Objects were not frustrating or annoying. Overall, it was a great ending to a nice beginning, and the story continues, so we'll see how that goes!
I recommend this game!

Insomnia and convinience told me that this game might just be interesting. The beginning was slow during the trial, but as I started to get further along it started to become a little bit more interesting. I thought this game could only get better. I will say that some of the visuals in the game and story leave you with a little peekaboo if you're easily startled, but towards the end I realized that that was all I was really getting out of it all. I did enjoy the puzzles and the games and the HOS went quite simply. I haven't played any other strange cases, and so far it really doesn't intrigue me to try the others. I might have tried the wrong one, but I do like the paranormal in the ghost area. So, if you like bumps in the night with a little quick relaxing game play on top of it and you're not really thinking about caring about a storyline, then this should be the game for you. I hate to give it such bad reviews, because it wasn't the worst I've ever played (obviously I thought it was going somewhere since I purchased it,) but if you really want to know where it stands ... wait until it's on for 2.99 and you've got the right game. :)

Home sweet Home rocks, but now on the second you get to do more (hence the baths.) I love challenging myself to the point that I might go overboard, but I want to not only "wow" my customer, but also "wow" myself! If you want to listen to your music while you play, you can. It's challenging in the game, but also you create your own challenge also. You get a chance to kinda freestyle it and it becomes your own. It's one of those games you can play over and over. I love how much freedom you actually have on the game, sometimes I get so excited I want more and more, but this is fun for all ages.

I fell in love with this game. I don't know of another interior decoration challenge game, but this one is unique and you get more freedom than you would expect. It's like you are an interior decorator. You try to create what the customer really wants, but you can decide how challenging it's going to be by how you personally would like to create the theme. It's one of those games I keep coming back to, and I have to say this is on my top games. They also have sequels.

So, what makes this different from the other building management games? You get to furnish the housing, and how well you furnish it and how fast the more you get paid. That is what got my interest, although others may know the game better from Jane's different adventures like Jane's Hotel. So, I guess we'll call it a mini-game. I love when there's extras blended in to the general games one enjoys. I can usually live without the sound on the game, although I always leave enough to hear certain cues like time running out and the storyline. One could easily enjoy listening to music while playing though.
