Based on the demo, this looks like a good HOPA. The music is repetitive but soft, the storyline is a common theme but we are already used to that, right? There is a VO in the beginning but seems not after that. There is a journal that pratically tells you all you need to do. The hint button refills very fast. The graphics are ok, the HOS ok as well, and right from the beginning a few puzzles not so hard also.
I find it a good entertainment for a relaxed week-end.
I own the previous 3 Dark Parables games, CE versions. And I loved them.
But I'll pass on this one. First, it annoyed me not to be able to access the SG, meaning I don't know the length of the game. And judging from where I got to in the 1 hour trial, I fear it may not be very challenging. Second, a) I find rather ridiculous that an Order so old of such well trained warriors can become suddenly as fragile and helpless as little girlies and b) I hate meaningless animal cruelty, be they sharks, wolves or sweet canaries. The storyline really put me totally off.
Nevertheless, the mechanics of this game are top notch, so in spite of my personal opinion I recommend it. But you should try it first.
I recommend this game!

Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper
Sherlock Holmes faces off against England’s most violent and mysterious killer in this thrilling Hidden Object adventure game!
But I suggest you try the demo, as this is a 3D game most suitable for hard-core gamers. People like me will probably be put off after 15 minutes. But this is just a question of personal preferences. And just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's no good!
So obviously it doesn't take the merit away from the game, which as I said is extremely good within its genre (Large File Game). So I do recommend it.
This is a good game. Good graphics, good voice-overs, good HO's crisp and clear, puzzles not that difficult, you just have to use some imagination. Lots of things to do. And I imagine a long play time, because you have to go back and forth. The hint, together with the diary, tasks list and map should suffice to help you navigate.
The con is the storyline, a total deja vu, just another puppet theater with evil lurking around.
I give it 4 stars because I consider it a good entertainment for a hot summer day when you have nothing better to do and the tv programs suck.
I bought the first two games of this series and I just loved them. And judging by the demo, the third is as good as the previous two. Good storyline, good action with lots of things to do, very good voices over. I just found the first puzzles to be a little to easy, but I played in casual mode, so... As usual, I think you should try it first, since opinions and taste vary a lot. But for me, it is a five star game.
This is simply the best HOPA I played this year. Though everything was already said about it, I loved it so much that I felt I ought to come here and give it 5*.
I recommend this game!

Mystery Age: The Dark Priests
Stop the Chaos God’s Dark Priests once and for all! Amber must head back to Westwind Village to put an end to the evil for good!
This is indeed a very good game, you should give it a try.
That said, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that I purchased it in November 2010, and it was then called Mystery Age 2 : The Dark Priests.
But if you download the present game trial, your Game Manager will not acknowledge it is the same game, so make sure you haven't got it already.
First, looking at the size and name of the game I was not very impressed. But still decided to try the demo.
And it surprised me! The intro cut scene is an excelent cartoon, extremely well done with the voices-over totally in sinch. The other cut scenes are of the same quality. Graphics and HO's are very clear. There is a journal, a "helping hand" with powers that you acquire along the game, the hint button charges very quickly, plenty of hints, plenty of information which is part of the storyline. The puzzles are not difficult and you can skip them.
And it is the very first HOG I played that I can really call an horror story :-#
So, though the storyline is not essentially a new theme, I will definetely buy this one #though I believe it is not a very long play time game).
