Like other gamers that have already rated this game, I had a hard time. The game itself is really good - while it lasts! And it only lasted a half hour after the one hour demo!! Luckily, I did get it as a "special" end-of-year deal but just WOW! I don't think I've come across a game this short before! The game is fun, the story is good and well-researched, but the different tasks for clearing the bewitched cards, the dusty cards and the moldy cards one at a time - and multiple times in one hand gets beyond tedious! However, I was OK with that aspect of the game as the story WAS interesting and the game WAS fun...while it lasted - and it DIDN'T last!! I was surprised it made it onto the top 60 games of 2012. I should have waited for it to be a DD!!
Yes, the game is bright and colorful. Yes, the music is upbeat and fun. NO, the game is both childish and incredibly dumb and challenging at the same time! Now that's an achievement! Before each level, you are given a "recipe" of which ingredients you are to catch in your belnder. You are supposed to avoid the wrong ingredients and also the "bad" or spoiled stuff. Now the challenge comes in with the recipe - you are supposed to remember how many of each ingredient goes into the mix and it differs with each level! So, it looks like there are several different games with many levels in each. So you either have to keep a notepad by your computer and write down each recipe as you go, or have a REALLY great memory! I'm sorry....but that's just not for me! I thought it would be a cute, fun game #like smart-phone games# but....not so much! Give it a try, or better yet, have your kids or grandkids try it to see if it suits you more than me!
Life is hard when your noggin won't stay sewn to your shoulders. Just ask Franken-Stitch! Help him reclaim his glorious dome in this physics-based puzzler!
Maybe it was my laptop but there was NO WAY to accomplish a lot of the levels of this game!! I'm used to playing physics-style games on my smartphone with no problems, but this game was impossible, frustrating and annoying!! The cartoonish character of Franken-stitch, that you are supposed to return it's head to is OK. but as for story-line, there is none to captivate you. [as in Angry Birds or the like] It's just straight physics with objects to collect as you try to reunite Franken with his head. Again, I have to ask, why would the devs not take a page from other successful physics-style games? Why rush the release before getting it right? I had really high hopes for this game and I'm afraid it was quite a let-down for me. Maybe as a DD it would be more appealing, but as a full price game...I don't think so! As always, please try at least the 1-hr. trial to see if it appeals to you more than to me.
So, I found this game to be only fair to middling - which is weird, as I'm usually the one rating the games above average! The game itself is very heavy on HO scenes and VERY annoying in that the inventory doesn't pull up when you scroll to the icon! Every action that you have to do requires you to click to open and again to close, yuck-o!! I guess I've become lazy and spoiled on all the newer, more streamlined games and this one seems just....clunky! The overall gameplay seemed very slow to me with not much to do in the scenes and locations after the HO"s were found. I know it's now a DD, but I just found it so annoying and slow, that I really don't know if it's a "buy" for me. Please, do try the 1-hr trial for yourselves and see if you like it better than I did.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Uncover the dark legacy hidden within a Romanian castle to save your friend from an evil spirit!
Yes, being Hungarian sometimes makes playing these vamp games a little dicey - especially when the whole vamp folklore is so ingrained in us! But I do love them [usually] even though the different spins that the dev's sometimes take makes me laugh! Now, as to the game - I know that some people like to pick apart the games and dissect every little thing - too scary, too easy, too....whatever!! I just go for whichever game has the "fun" factor for me! I absolutely LOVED the dry wit that the dev's have imparted to the character that you play! Right up my alley! Plus, I definitely respond favorably when the game makes the bad thing that happens YOUR fault [even though you had the best intentions!] and now you have to fix it! I didn't have problems with the HO scenes and everything you gather makes sense. There is a large amout of trekking back and forth as after all, you only have the castle and moat to explore. But it's really not taxing as the map is interactive to some spots anyway, and there are A LOT of locked and/or bricked up/inaccessible rooms and hallways to unlock or break into. [joy!] I'm almost to the end of the game and I still love it! Do try at least the demo hour to see if you like it too, but if you just play for fun and not as an experiment in dissection of the dev's shortfalls, you should also find this an amusing little vamp romp!
I really, really love this game! I love that you can choose how you want to play [swap tiles, chain or groups of more than 3] and that there is the option to not be timed! The sarcastic banter between the two characters is also very funny and appealing! Yes, the figures are drawn in cartoon-fashion, but that's ok as it still has the usual feel of "only you can save the world" without being too serious and that makes it fun! There are cool mini games and the game is Looooong! Lots of power-ups and levels to keep you playing for a long time! So great! So, as you can probably tell, I loved the game and bought it before the 1 hour demo was over! Do try the one hour for yourselves to see if this is the game for you. I don't regret using a game credit for this game!
My review is based on only the 1 hr demo - I LOVE Match 3 games and was really happy to have a new one! The graphics are really pretty and bright, the music is very woodwindy, Aztec-like sounding and at least for me, became a bit tedious after 30 or so minutes so I muted it! The game itself [as noted by other reviewers] is one of those "floating" boards that move in whatever direction it is that you make a match. Personally, I don't mind the aspect of "driving" the board to different areas as this is the dev's idea of making it more challenging and closer to a 360 degree game, when clearly it's a flat 2D! As for the storyline, it's the usual "you are the only one able to save the world as it is your birthright" type thing - which is OK, if a little old. I loved the first Inca Prophecy, but will wait until this one is a DD to buy. But as always, please try the 1 hr for yourselves as this type of M3 might be a new experience for you!!
Darn you BFG!! Another cute game I can't resist! The mole is so cute and blissfully unaware and I love when the coins, etc bonk him on the head making him reel! Just so darn cute! The dialog and storyline is also so cute and fun! I loved that this is a different type of "match 3" in that you throw the jewels up to make your matches which requires just a little thought [which I loved] but is not overly taxing for when you want to relax. The only down-side that I found, so far [full disclosure - only played the demo] is that you don't have a choice in making the game untimed - which is why I dinged the "level of challenge" score. However, the timer is very generous, although I did have to replay some levels as I learned how to maneuver the game. There are cute power-ups and "bribes" for your customers that you can buy at the "store" with your money earned from customers that purchase your gems. This is just a very VERY cute, fun and , at times, a little challenging game that I will DEFINITELY be buying!! Thank you BFG!! Please keep 'em coming!!
Travel from the deepest trenches of the Atlantic Ocean to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mars as you solve the greatest archeological puzzle known to man: the origin of Atlantis.
I really can't add much to the contributers that have pretty much analyzed this outstanding game, but to repeat....WOW!!! I thought this was an outstanding game! The visuals were fantastic. The storyline was cohesive and made you really want to continue playing! My 12 yr old grandson was visiting and he played with me for a while and then he was afraid to be left alone in the room! I didn't think it was that scary - but he came in just at the spot where a mysterious shadowy figure flits across the screen as you're alone on the space station and I guess he was that into the game! It really draws you in! I absolutely LOVE it! Everything was superbly done and the tasks and puzzles you must complete were logical and matched the feel of the game. This was a "buy" for me even before the first hour was up!! Definitely try the hour demo for yourselves, but I'm sure you'll see what a great, well developed game this one is!! Bravo devs and BF for bringing this to us!
So I was entranced by the dev's description of the game and decided to try it. MISTAKE! They claim this game has "huge combos" with "huge scores" and "insane combos" and "more mayhem"!! The "entrancing" experience they promised never came to be! I was also definitely NOT "glued to my seat" until the end of the game! I barely lasted for the entire hour demo! So, trying to get back to my eternal optimist status here....The M3 tiles are really cartoonish and the "magical" objects are cartoon renderings of unicorns, magic books, frogs..stuff like that. Then, as you try to not only match 3, but move tiles to get as many items in a row as possible, the "magic" vines enshroud the like tiles to lock them into place until the timer expires. Once the time expires, the level is not over yet, the locked tiles slide off the screen and the usual matches that slide into place pop - but not in a satisfying wonderful explosion-type of pop, just kind of disappear until finally, the screen fills up. It's kind of anemic ...so all the hugeness promised in the game description with all the mayhem was not to be found! And I was really trying! Even with my now diminished optimism....the game had little to amuse me or keep me "glued to my seat"!! I imagine that perhaps a young girl - maybe around 4 to 6 - would like this game because of the magic theme? But it would depend on the child - as all my kids and grandkids were proficient with my computer by age 2 and would find this game boring! As usual, please do try it for yourselves my fishie friends - maybe I was just having an off day....but this would be a definite "NO" for me, even as a daily or weekly deal.
