You are the chef preparing dishes for a menu that you create. For each dish there is a string of steps to take, what makes it difficult is when you have three dishes to prepare at once and as a dish sits it's rating goes down. So you have to balance your time in doing steps for each item and finishing the dishes close to one another, which is the most challenging aspect of the game. I did not have a huge problem with the controls, it did take some getting used to. The only thing I found annoying was not having an indicator to how close the dish was being completed, because some finished much quicker and since that is a big component of the game that would have been useful.
This game does a great job of continuing from the first game (also excellent). It has the same mechanics but a different feel to it. This game is similar to my farm life and hobby farm if you've played those, but this series is my favorite and also the hardest in my opinion. During each level you have to fill an order, including things you grew, things from animals and things from machines. It is very challenging in the later levels and expert is truly that... expert. Which I appreciate. The storyline is cute and developed, they actually thought about it and it's not a throwaway like a lot of time management games.
This "cool" cat needs your help to make his farm more "funky" man... lame. You need to make money to improve the farms funkiness, and you do this by selling things from your animals (or killing them). But you can only buy animals or make any action if that corresponding button is on the buttom of your screen as it is continuously scrolling through random buttons. This is an interesting new concept I have not seen before and also completely frustrating. A line of the same useless buttons is usually what happened to be scrolling by. This game was obviously trying to be cute, and it's just not. Although the game is not horrifically bad, I played the demo and that was enough for me.
This is an excellent game that is different from all others I have played. Basically you need to sell a specific amount of different goods to pass the level. But how you get the goods is different, there is a farmer that can grow things, then workers that run machines to make them into something else. Alot of freedom in what to upgrade and when to upgrade it, which is where a lot of the strategy comes in. Lots of strategy needed if you are looking to get gold on the levels (some are REALLY hard to accomplish! but it is possible as I have done it). But if you like to take your time that's fine too, you can take as long as you want to finish the levels. Love the music, story line is pretty loose. If you like strategy games, you'll like this game.
I played this game through to completion a couple times because my son was obsessed with it, and he was too young to be able to play himself. At first I wasn't too thrilled to play, but it really grows on you! It is like a tower defense game where you are defending your turf from the bad guys. Alot of strategy is needed in the game, especially if you want three stars on every level (which I do). So you fight your way through fifty levels to reach the end of the game... BUT WAIT! it isn't over yet, fifty MORE levels with even tougher enemies. Get to the end of that and you're like thank GOODNESS it's over. No. It's. not. UGH! ANOTHER fifty levels and now you are dealing with additional problems for your little robot guys to face. If you like getting your dollars worth this game is it. Pretty sure it's the longest game I have played from big fish.
This is a good game and you definitely get your moneys worth because it has fifty long levels. It isn't very challenging which may be good for some people. There are other games that are very similar that I prefer better like my farm life and ranch rush.
Like everyone else has said, this is like monopoly. There is nothing wrong with the game, it just got old really fast. You do the same things ad nauseum without there being much of a challenge and little strategy involved. My 5yr old likes it though, so bonus points for that!
I have replayed this game soooooo many times, it never gets old! STILL one of my all time favorites, and I have played alot of games. It can be really challenging if you want to acheive perfect on all levels, especially on expert (whew!) and I appreciate the smatterings of humor here and there. They came out with a second burger shop, which is also awesome. I am still waiting for a third one...
I suppose this is the standard fare for the bubble popper type games, but I have never liked one better than tumblebugs 2. It is so well done, a cute loose story line about the evil bug king and funny sayings scattered throughout. Levels get really tough the last third of the game, especially on expert. I have replayed it several times and it never gets easier, the challenge is always there.
This game is about people that get stranded on an island (obviously). You have to accomplish different tasks and quests which advance the storyline. The game is not challenging at all, but it is still fun and you are driven to keep playing because you want to find out what happens next in the story. I played this game when it first came out and I loved it. So naturally when the sequel came out I played that right away. After the sequel I HAD to revisit the original and played it a second time. I must say that it wasn't as good as I remember it, the sequel had much better gameplay. First off, whenever the game autosaves (which you can turn off) and also during other times the game slooooows down and drags for 10s or so. This doesn't seem too bad but it got really annoying after awhile, this does not happen during the sequel. Also the quests weren't as well thought out as the sequel, alot of "go talk to so and so" back and forth across the island, which got tiring. I still enjoyed playing it, the sequel is amazing but you need to play this before you play the sequel to get the full effect of the story. Looking forward to the next installment!
