Review based on completed game. Extremely easy! I never lost a level or a battle. Boards were much the same - even the backgrounds did not vary much. Maybe good for children and beginners, but they also might get bored.

Everything about this game was bad. I still had 54 minutes left when I deleted it. Looks as though it was created by a high-schooler 15 years ago. Slow moving with very poor cut-scenes. The only positive thing I can find to say is it was bright and colorful. But, as always, try it for yourself. Children might like it.

Unique game play. But I found it much too easy. I'm on level 30 and have not had to try very hard yet. The levels are all very similar. I keep hoping for a challenge, but am beginning to think there will not be one. That's too bad, because the devs were on to something here. Add a storyline and some variety and it could have been a winner.

Very nice. Not too difficult, not too easy. Nice clear pictures - and I like the way the unused grid squares evaporate, leaving you with just the image. I was happy to see such a variety of colors.. my only complaint is that some of them were hard to tell apart. The blues for example, when the slightly darker blue was highlighted it was almost exactly the same color as the light blue. If you like these games, try it out.
I have played this constantly since buying it yesterday. I was never a Clutter fan - I get enough HOGs in other games, but I do enjoy these puzzles. Another reviewer mentioned the puzzles made up of squares with one missing and you slide the pieces around. I also despise those and am glad to say I have not seen any in this game. And another reviewer mentioned Pandora's Box - I remember it fondly - it had more variety than this like the 3-D puzzles. In any case -try this. Unless you dislike puzzles, it is certainly worth a coupon, Happy Gaming.

I bought this immediately. I was thrilled to see a 4th color and was not disappointed in the game play. I have the entire series starting with the 4th, which was the first with multiple colors. They are hands down the best of all the griddler games. My house will have to wait to be cleaned until I finish this.

Wow. I really like this. It's hard to make something different in this genre but they managed. The previous review gave a wonderful description, so I am not going to repeat it all the details.
I do think the 'story' is silly. And I found the colors difficult to distinguish - such as the white and grey.
It is difficult, but you do catch on after awhile. Numbers get crossed off as you color the squares, but if you hover the mouse over them the 'X' will disappear. I do wish they had not done that.
You must try this before buy and persevere - don't try a couple of screens and give up. I suggest you do try the tutorial.
Basic rule of thumb.... Numbers of the same color will have 1 or more space between them. Numbers of different colors may or may not have a space between them. For the 10x10 grids, if the numbers add up to 10 just pit them in the grid! You can right click to X out a square - just be careful.

I might have enjoyed this game were it not for those huge purple pins marking an unused space. Sound effects were annoying, but sound can be turned off. The purple pegs overshadowed the filled in spaces. I will say game play was smooth. But the comic book graphics style is not for me. I had hoped that the 'story' premise would hold my interest despite the problems. But I wish there had been more logic in the clue found and the determined result. For example - why does finding a cross tell you the victim's name and profession? Try before you buy. I'll stick with the penguins.

I did not think too much of this when I beta'd it and don't think any better of it now. It took me less than an hour to finish the demo. The graphics were fine, although things kept twinkling when there was no longer anything left to do there. Puzzles were very easy - the Super Puzzle especially disappointing. Play was very linear. You needed a screwdriver - one would show up after you opened the next whatever. Having people running all over and hiding was very odd. Having them pop up and wave was even odder. I am SO tired of Elf - although I do not mind the Hint Toad at all. All in all, I think it is time to retire this series of games. I have most of them and they have been going downhill. I will not be buying this one. But it would be excellent for a beginner, so I gave it 3 stars and a recommendation.
That visual technique drove me crazy when I beta'd the game. I said then I would not buy it and after playing the demo I have not changed my mind. Especially after reading about the myriad issues with the bonus game.
The music was awful, the cursor sluggish.and the story line illogical.
Too bad. I have all the other Rite of Passage games.
