I've played hundreds of different kinds games from Bigfish. Some I've loved, some I've liked, and some I just couldn't bother writing a review for. This one is on a level unknown to me. It just wasn't fun. There was no story. The items you are suppose to find were very small. It was repetitive. The lag between "winning" and the declaration that you did in fact win, was annoying. It was boring! I don't remember ever playing a game on this site that was boring! I guess someone who is completely new to gaming might like it, but it would not be for any seasoned players. If you're curious, check it out for yourself. It's a definite no for me.

Okay, so it's basically the same-old-same-old as most Match-3/Build a City game. BUT this one did one thing better than any of the other I've played: The time between levels! Usually there is fanfare and you have to wait for a screen telling you how much you earned, etc. I always hated that waiting. This one doesn't! You can click to advance right away. Between that and being able to play in Relax Mode, this one is a winner in my book! Give it a try!

Okay, so it's not Dire Grove/Ravenheast. Those game were, without a doubt, masterpieces. It's rare for a developer to produce one masterpiece. These folks have produced two! Is this game as good as those? Well, the simple answer is no. But I really enjoyed the ambiance of this one. The puzzles WERE rather easy for long time players, but it's a nice jump-on game for beginners/intermediate players. I liked the story-line and half expected one of the Dalimar clan to pop up somewhere (they don't). My one real complaint that stopped me from giving this a 5-star rating is the length of the game. I felt like there was more story to tell that would have given a player more than 3 hours (total) of game time. I hate short games. A minor complaint is that it could have been spookier. It would have been easy to throw in a few jump-scares. Even though ghosts were involved, there was no build up to get your pulse pumping. Nevertheless, I did like what it was. We, as long-time players of MCF, have got to let go of the past. They might never come up with another masterpiece, but we can still enjoy the games that they produce for us to play. As always, please try the demo for yourself. I recommend the CE because it lengthens your game time and explains some questions from the main game.

First off, this is not a 9 hour game. I played slow, didn't skip anything and managed to finish the demo in 18 mins. That's basically two chapters. All the puzzles and HOPS were easy and finding collectibles was very easy. Nevertheless, because of one review that mentioned a 9 hour game, I bought it thinking that even if it was easy, at least it would be entertaining. It WAS beautifully done with wonderful characters and nicely animated voice-overs (except the accents were all over the place!). The colors were vibrant. I'm not saying this is a bad game. I do recommend it. BUT you need to know what you will be getting. If you are looking for a nice, easy walk in the forest, this is the game for you. I would recommend this for beginners.

The Britons series is my 2nd favorite TM series (Incredible Dracula is my favorite). I've played all the Roads of Rome series as well, but never liked them as much as Britons. This one, however, is a hybrid of both. It's a long game (YEAH!) with each level taking between 10 and 20 minutes to play. One of my fav aspects of the Britons series are the caches you have to find. They are also here, but you get to see what you're looking for. I sort of like that feature, because it kept me from pulling my hair out. BUT, it also take most of the challenge away. The pace is good and the story is odd, but interesting. I like that there are various play options, as I've always hated games that require a timed session. I'm lazy and like to relish the game rather than rushing through it. I have really enjoyed this one, but I'd love to see another Britons game come out as well. Try this one out for yourself.

I have played of all the Laruaville series and this one is 100% my favorite. I love the story! The Viking says some cute things that only a Viking would think of. I should know because my husband was a Norwegian and very proud of his Viking heritage. Some of the good changes are that you don't really need the power ups. You can get them, but they are not necessary. I like the addition of the sliders. There were some level I had to start over because I didn't do it in the correct order. I miss the solitaire game and wish they would get rid of the "find the difference" puzzles. They added a slider key puzzle, which is challenging, but not impossible if you think it through. I'd like to see more HOPs in future editions as well. But, with that said, I will be playing this one more than once and enjoying it!

No Elf? Then it's not a real Mystery Trackers game. Three inexperienced detectives trying to solve a mystery where lives are on the line? I don't think so. Voice overs are a mixed bag. Sometimes the mouths move, sometimes they don't. One dude has a man-bun (don't get me started!) and the other sounds like he's has eaten too many edibles! The most disappointing thing about this game is how utterly short it is. The demo was okay, but after purchase, the game lasted about 30 mins. more. I wasn't even able to finish the bonus game because there were areas where I was unable to make the item (a horn to be placed on a statue) work! So disappointing! I've never given a one star review before and I've been with BF for over 10 years. This used to be one of my favorite series, but now it will go on my "Do not purchase" list".

I don't know why there are bad reviews for this game. No, it's not terribly challenging as far as a HOP game goes... although some items are pretty hard to find, especially the "keys" to open areas so you can complete the HOPs. This game is all about the story. That's so rare! Yes, it's chatty. But think of it as reading a book that just happens to be a game. There are 5 different types of HOPS, which is nice. Each level has approximately 6 HOPs, plus two puzzles. The puzzles are very easy, but nicely done. The CE offers 5 extra levels at the end that continues the storyline. After all levels are completed, you have the option of playing all the HOPs over again. You can also choose what type of HOP you want to replay. Okay, so this one isn't going to win any prizes, but it's a nice relaxing game with an interesting storyline. Great for beginners and relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. Give it a try!

ARGH! I can't stop playing this! It's so addictive! I've always loved this series, but for some reason this one is just better than all the rest. In the past I've become frustrated with the pearl/star levels, but I've really enjoyed this version. I was confused by the main scene, which you can buy items for. Where are the castles? Oh, you build those separately. Okay. I've used up all my shields building the main scene. Guess it's back to playing to get more of them for the castles. That's what makes it addictive. Oh, and the castles are not finished until you purchase all the star critters for that castle. ARGH! Trust me, I'm not complaining. This game is worth every penny. Buy it! Resistance is futile! Settle in for a LONG game and enjoy the ride!

This one is hard to review for me. First I will say that I liked it, even though it was easier than most MCF games. It was 5 hours well spent, but at the end I was left with a feeling of wanting more out of the story. It kept teasing me by name-dropping several of the other MCF games, but none of it really meant anything. Perhaps the hinted sequel will answer more questions. The puzzles were many, but easier than in other MCF games. The HOPs were good and numerous as well. This is a good game for beginners and intermediate players, and a fun replay-able game for experts who need a break from anything difficult. Give the demo a try and enjoy!
