I got the opportunity to play this game in preview. I loved it then and still love it.
You can play casual or timed, with or without a tutorial.
It is a typical match 3 with what looks like 100 levels. (I am basing this on 10 levels played and 10% showing on progress)
The colors are bright and the goals of each level are clear. There are little "challenges" every once in a while but they play like the normal game.
I played on casual mode as that is just my preference, but could see that if it was in timed mode, the challenge factor would be increasingly significant.
The game reminds me of the "Cradle" games in that buildings are built with the proceeds earned in game play. If you liked those games, you will like this one as well.
No voice overs, but bubble dialoge with the "advisor" and the "emperor".
I was glad to see this game released so soon after the trial run on it and I will definitely add it to my growing collection!
I recommend this game!

I don't think anything is all that bad. It is a straight forward HOP. Why some think that is so bad, I have no clue.
It is a simple, enjoyable game with bright and pretty scenes. Some HOS are within the scenes so it is not just the normal junk pile HOS you find in most games.
Those who seek adventure and like traipsing all over the place will not like this game and that is ok, too! For others, it is a nice way to relax and just enjoy exercising your powers of observation.
I have only played half the demo and the puzzle part of things so far is simple as well.
Bright, pretty scenes, a simple, NON creepy story, no voice overs (not needed here), music is not the best but I rarely listen anyway.
I will get this game for my collection for those times I just want simplicity and not the dark, creep factor.
I recommend this game!

After debating a few days, and reading a good many of the reviews, I decided to try this one for myself. I was NOT disappointed.
I loved the mix of different HOS and for the adventure, I love interactive maps. I have also grown fond of the little "helpers" in some games, the Steam Punk Crow for this one.
The voice overs are fun. Cut scenes are many, but short and not annoying as you progress.
Graphics are good! My tired old eyes are not worn out trying to see the scenes or searching for things.
There are options for skill levels and even though I have tons of experience in these games, I always prefer the relaxed mode. LOL at my age, hurrying to beat a timer or the need to work harder is not for me.
I have only played 3/4 of the free hour so far, but plenty for me to want this game in my collection. I can't wait to see how this mystery is solved!
I recommend this game!

Wow. This one had me from the opening scene. Dark, yes, but that did not stop me from wanting to proceed and see what is next.
Graphics, voice overs, storyline are all great. I am only 1/2 through the demo but stopped to buy the full version. I am hooked on finding out what is going on.
It has a helpful map, tutorial if you want to play casual (which I always do). The map will tell you if there are things to be done in the area you are in.
The puzzles have a skip button, and so far, have not needed the hint button.
A game to try at the very least!
I recommend this game!

Ok, so the graphics are a little grainy and the music is an annoying loop. This is still a fun game. Your basic HOG with puzzles between scenes.
I disagree that this is a better game for kids - older folks might enjoy this too. Our eyes need the exercise as we age and this does provide it in the mish-mash of the scenes. So give it a try!
Even with the extremely busy HOS, the items are not so miniscule that you need extra magnifying to find them. The puzzles - at least so far - are the expected ones (jigsaws, find differences, etc.)
I like the break from the dark, gloomy, creepy HOPAs and this does provide that. A fun little way to pass the time.
I recommend this game!

WOW I have to agree with the other reviews that this is a great game! The only minus (for me) is that the map is not interactive. Love the HOS with the total interaction. Keeps you on your toes.
The cutscenes were great and the story itself gets your attention immediately.
GOGII has upped the ante for development for the rest of the game developers.
Even though this is another somewhat "dark" HOPA, it is worth trying it out! You just may get hooked on it too!
I recommend this game!

How intriguing! The story begins great and keeps your interest.
The new way of options listed in the first review on this game were a neat idea and one that is appreciated!
Love the interactive map that is created as you progress on this game.
The graphics are great, sound is good, voice overs to keep the story going strong. Love having the little Imp as a helper - reminds me of the Mystery Trackers games for that and he is cute besides.
The items in HOS are not blatant all the time, and it is a usual junk pile but somehow work.
I did not play the original Witch's Legacy game (yet) but did not feel like I missed a lot of preview by that in the demo hour I had. If anything, this new one has sparked my interest to check the other out too.
The developers worked hard on this to make it cohesive, interesting and as difficult as you choose it to be. This will be added to my ever-growing collection of games!
I recommend this game!

This is based on only 1/2 of the demo time and I already liked this game! I read so many reviews (good and bad) and decided to try it. It will be part of my growing collection for sure!
Sound and graphics are great. I love being able to brighten scenes in options! My old eyes need that help. A definite plus on this one.
Like the search for fragments of puzzles, and the search for the coins to create the map as you go. Then it is an interactive map on top of it all - wonderful!
I do miss a proper journal, but that is probably just because most other HOPA have them. Map is far more important.
The music is repititious yet appropriate to create the atmosphere.
The hint button is useful.
Glad I tried this one! Thank you reviewers! It convinced me to check this one out.
I recommend this game!

Ok so this game is NOT the advanced back and forth adventure. A lot of people will not want this because it IS a back to basic HOP. It is very much in the style of Big City Adventures in presentation and play: there is a HOS and then a puzzle.
You work your way through the park for the different scenes.
The twist/challenge is to find lost and found items (silhouetted on bottom left) and then the trash for recycle (no clue given, nor how many in a scene),
The HOS themselves are list style - a little interaction requiring an extra action to complete. These are highlighted on your list.
Some items - HOS and Collectables may be a little hard to discern but I have played games wherein the items are really hard to find. These are not bad, though some may be a little small or cleverly desguised as a wood blemish.
The music is a loop - not bad but repititious. No voice overs, so you do have the option of just turning sound off on your machine or in options (not sure if that is an option as I rarely check the options page).
The graphics are clean, bright and colorful.
You may go back and rework any scene to get a better rating if you wish - all this is explained in the tutorial that you get (I always play casual).
Overall, this is a nice little game. No stress, just sit back and let this game be relaxing. I found it to be fun and a big change from the much more developed - and often dark and creepy - HOPA that has evolved. I will buy this one for the enjoyment factor it gave me.
I recommend this game!

A nice little sequel to the Escape the Museum games. This time, no earthquake to start things off. It is an adventure to find various valuables from history to ADD to the museum.
The hidden objects can be very difficult to see - but that IS the point, right? And, you have an option to return to see if you can find even more items once a scene is cleared.
The music is a little annoying, so I podded that way down. The voice over is good and the story is interesting (IMO). The graphics are not as sharp as could be, but still, not that bad, either.
Overall, I like the game a lot. No going back and forth to find a single item. The scene is the only place you need to be. The riddles can give your brain cells a tug but they are not impossible. The geocache has a riddle and the journal has another set of tip style riddles.
Not a dark game at all so if you like creepy dark, this is not the game for you. This IS a nice little break from all the darkness.
I recommend this game!
