I found this game very frustrating. The graphics were simply OK and they should've been outstanding considering the 'sets'. I can imagine if someone like Blue Tea had done this, you know the scenes would've been stunning.
Problems with this game #and there are more than the few I'm mentioning#: You can't navigate using the map, you can't skip all the tedious dialogue nor can you really skip the numerous cutscenes #even if you click SKIP CUTSCENE#. The morphing objects didn't morph so I was just randomly clicking to try & find them.
I did the entire demo of this game and I was more than ready to uninstall it long before then.
Don't buy this game, its definitely not worth the CE price and I don't even know if its worth a free game credit.
This game is from the makers of the Dark Parables series. Blue Tea's games standout for one reason, they're not your typical HO/adventure, they're fragmented HO which is something nobody else does (that I'm aware of.) As soon as I saw this was a BT game, I purchased it straight off.
Their map allows you to travel around with out clicking thru numerous places, there's a handy 'objective' button and their strategy guide is easy to follow. Game length is very nice and has a bonus level, graphics are terrific, the storyline is interesting and doesn't make you want to skip the brief videos which are thankfully just enough to keep you entertained yet not so numerous to annoy you. There's 3 difficulty levels and morphing objects to find, so replay value is there. Plus it has wallpapers, music, etc. which tends to come standard with most CE games now.
As others have said this is a nice game though not worth the CE tag/price. There are no collectibles, morphing objects, etc. No map. And to be honest, this was a short game, I finished on middle difficulty in about 4 hours including the bonus. Storyline is nice, I like the 'cut scenes' don't drag out and you can click thru dialogue#s# if you're a fast reader like I am. Graphics are good although a couple of the HO items were a bit difficult to distinguish. I really enjoy the games where you have to find objects and then use them.
I would buy this game but I think you'd get a better value for your money by waiting for the standard version, especially if you don't care about wallpapers, etc.
I don't know how they keep doing it. Once again, Elephant has come up with a game that has beautiful graphics, good storyline, unobtrusive music and is fun to play and replay no matter what your skill level is. I bought this after 20 minutes of the demo, but I had already decided when I saw the Elephant Games logo and saw the first couple of screens.
This game has elements of Cinderella mixed in, which is interesting, I don't recall anyone else using it before. Its got an interactive map (which is something I want in games like this#, achievements and most importantly an actual fullsize #not partial with wide black borders) game screen, which makes it easier to see details on HO scenes. The mini-games are challenging but not so much you want to skip them. And the length of the game is very nice but doesn't drag or feel like its never ending. I have to say, I've been more than a little tired of adventure/HO games yet I don't feel that way about theirs at all.
I really wish someone would do an interview with someone at Elephant Games, ask them how they keep coming up with such great games without repeating the same things over and over. Try this game, you won't regret it.
I played the demo for 8 minutes but as soon as I saw it was an Elephant Games product, I knew I was going to buy it.
The graphics are stunning. The storyline is original, I've never even seen another game like this. I really like the background music, which I usually turn down/off, it doesn't distract from the game at all. The talking scenes are nice, you can click to forward especially if you're a fast reader (as I am). Tutorial isn't a nuisance and doesn't treat you as if you're a pro.
If you're a fan of Elephant Games or if you've ever seen the Nutcracker performed, this game is the one for you. I remember seeing the Nutcracker at Kennedy Center in DC as a child and the special feeling - this game captures that perfectly.
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
Really not happy with this game. I played thru as casual and the tutorial says NOTHING about morphing objects, I had to look in the forums to even know they were there but only after you 'complete' the Quarry location. Not impressed with the 'strategy guide', its just screen shots of 'where you are' in the game but on some puzzles, you need a better understanding on how to complete the puzzle and you don't get that from the guide.
I've played the game thru twice and still don't know why I'm left with the night-vision goggles. Also, wasn't impressed with the 2 hidden video tapes, added nothing to the story. I'm also very disappointed in the extras. No bonus chapter, the 'extras' were really only the interview with Lea Thompson, et.al. so that a let down.
I will say the integration of Lea Thompson's scenes was very seamless. Graphics were very nice although I really wish you could speed up the videos, etc. I'm a fast reader and I don't really care to sit and wait just to read/see everything.
Overall, I would only recommend this game at the NON-CE level, the 'extras' just aren't worth the extra price.
I don't recommend this game.

I bought this after only 10 minutes of the demo. This is one of the nicest looking games I've seen in a long time. Detail on everything is crisp, and I love that it's actually a full screen without being distorted.
I am getting more than a little tired of the sheer number of HO/adventure games but this one caught me right away. Not gory, not graphic, good tutorial, storyline is nice and the cutscene videos aren't distracting (for a change#. Even the tutorial #which I normally skip# was unobtrusive and helpful. I'm not going to post any info about the story since I don't want to spoil anything.
Check this game out, see if you think its one of the best looking games out today! You won't be disappointed and its worth the 'extra' price for the CE version. Bravo to its maker#s#!

I loved the first two Dark Parables games and this one didn't disappoint either. It took awhile to download but with the detail and the terrific graphics, it wasn't surprising and well worth the wait.
Game length was very nice, storyline was great and even the music (which I normally turn off on games like this) was a plus. I definitely think the game has replay value, not only due to the various difficulty levels but also to get all the morphed objects. I wish they would make the map so that you could move between different areas but that's a small complaint for such a nice game.
This one is worth the CE price, and I will be awaiting the next chapter in this series.

I quickly got hooked on Snark Busters and I'm glad to say this follow-up didn't disappoint. Fun game, graphics are good quality and even a storyline that you want to pay attention to. I only wish this game was longer but its definitely worth it, as you can play repeatedly and enjoy each time.

I didn't know anything about this when I tried it. I bought it after 10 minutes. Great little adventure game, my only 'complaint' is I wish it was longer! Quickly bought Snark Busters 2 and I'm eagerly and anxiously waiting for Snark Busters 3.
Buy this game, especially if you can get a discount or for free, you won't be disapointed!
