The Kingdom of Gaudium is on fire and the King watches as buildings fall and his subjects run for their lives. Then, the Queen falls to her death ..... or does she?????
Graphics, music and sound fx were spot on. Voice overs were well done and I was glad to see lip movement (a pet peeve of mine - lol).
Casual, Advanced, Hardcore and Custom difficulties.
You are armed with an Album which contains cut scenes, a task list, an transportable map and an Owl helper. For some reason, I am totally into owls these days so I kind of liked this feature .... wish it talked. The 'hint' button also transports.
HOGs: Interactive. Just .... meh. Mini Games: Lacked instructions.
CE Bling: The usual fare, however, the area where the 'extras' are is done in an amazingly stunning way. I don't believe I've seen this before. Yes. You have to go look yourselves - lol. There are also .... * 65 collectible guardians - there can be more than 1 in each area. Find them all to 'finish the painting' in the Extras area. * 3 lucky gifts (?) * A total of 3 games: Dark Architect (main game), Liberation and Magic Sight.
Not for beginners. Perfect for Experts. I think I would have enjoyed this game, however, the lack of instructions made it impossible for me to progress into further game play. Perhaps I was missing something? Except for the Strategy Guide, which you need to figure out the mini games, this game is not CE worthy. While it has 3 games and 65 collectibles, I was bored to tears early on.
ENJOY!
I don't recommend this game.

I've Fallen in Love with tiny little elf/gnome creatures --- sigh.
Your character is a botanist whose latest find is making worldwide news .... a new species of moss has been found and your incredible knowledge of this field will only help you as you find yourself on an epic adventure .... to a hidden place (shhhh) of peace and tranquility that holds secrets as old as time itself. (Mum's the word) But, the forest creatures, creatures (also as old as time) may be in terrible, terrible trouble. OH NO OH NO OH NO!!!! YOU need to help them. Ah, but can you?
Graphics were much better than I expected for a fantasy-type game of today. The voice overs were absolutely amazing. You have to play the game to understand exactly what I mean. The music was .... suspenseful.
You get a diary/journal and a transportable map.
3 difficulty modes: Casual, Advanced and Expert.
HOGS (hidden object games) - silhouettes, slightly interactive, no alternate game. Mini Games - fun, fun, fun! I didn't see a "reset" button but that could have just been me.
I really liked that you had to manipulate the fire hose to put out the fire .... or the OMG moment when you found your kidnapped Grandmom . SHOCKED MUCH???? WHO in the WORLD would kidnap a grandmom?!!?!?!? Aaahh .... those precious "forest folk" sitting around the table .... I just fell in love with them and desperately wanted to jump into the computer and help them!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the troll-looking Slavic creature!
It's NOT often that you come across a game that evokes so much emotion (worry for the forest folk HELP ! , shock .... fear .... concern ... laughter) ..... that makes you forget that it's just a game ..... and where the mini games and HOGs just take a backseat to the storyline.
This is definitely NOT a game to pass up. I think it would be great for all levels of experienced players. I had been waiting f-o-r-e-v-e-r for this game to be released since I played the beta .... ages ago (lol) and jumped right on that "BUY" button when it came out as a CE (see below).
Are you up to the task of helping the forest creatures????? Join me in this daunting task and I promise .... you will certainly .....
ENJOY!
CE Bling consists of finding lots of thingies ..... Collect 30 cards ...... Collect 30 ethereal flowers ...... 22 puzzles
............. all the pictures seem related to knights and/or pirates.
The storyline was ok, as was the music and sound fx. At least I didn't have to turn anything down - lol.
There are no mini-games between levels.
There is only 1 mode of difficulty. There are 2 game settings: pic-a-pic or fill-a-pic. Don't know the difference between the two as I played the usual type of 'filler/griddler/mosaic' type of game. There is an automatic tutorial. I could find NO way to turn it off .... which was annoying.
You can earn up to 3 mistakes before you have to replay a level.
The gist of the game is thus: Your game board consists of a graph of blocks. Along each side are sets of numbers. Using those numbers, you fill in blocks on the graph and, when finished, create a picture.
I LOVE this genre of gaming!
What I found rather challenging was that (1) there are colors ..... but you don't play color (a), then color (b), then color (c) and so on. No. When you fill in ... say .... 4 blocks at once .... they may be blue, red, green, green .... instead of placing those colors over 3 turns. At the beginning of game play, I was easily ..... confused - lol.
However ....... when the demo ended, I literally SCREAMED at the computer ("NOOOOOOO! I want to keep playing!!!!"), That is my personal 'wow' factor. I'm not even waiting for Bonus Punch Monday, I'm off to purchase it ............ NOW!
.....being able to read anything! There, the secret's out and you don't have to play the game.
Theron met a human, they fell in love and wanted to be together. theron's father, Zeus, said it would never be and separated them. Hera and her co-hort decided to help them.
Graphics are ok. Lots of white print on white marble background so reading everything was ... impossible. Music was annoying as were the sound fx.
Easy, Casual and Extreme modes of difficulty.
No map or journal that I could discern.
HOGs were difficult for me because, again, the list was white printed on a white marble background so i just pointed and clicked and hoped I hit something. Same with instructions for mini games.
Nice storyline, though nothing outrageously new. So many problems it's not a purchase for me and I can't recommend a game that a lot of older people with 'old eyes' will have a problem with.
No beginning cut scene to get a bearing on what the game is about, who your character is, etc.
Graphics are ok. I turned off the music and 'sounds' but couldn't turn off the voiceovers. Your character is in a constant state of "OMG!!!"
Absolutely NO different modes of difficulty.
No diary/journal. No map (transportable or otherwise). The hint button takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r and a d-a-y to recharge. At one point, it is noted during the tutorial (you can't turn off) to try the hint button and it would be a 'free hint'. Hmmmmm. The 'hint' button DOES NOT transport you either.
The Inventory button does NOT stay locked into position. So, you're constantly clicking on it to see what's what. There are pictures of what you have to find in the inventory which drove me a bit nuts to begin with ..... if it's in my Inventory it's something I found/earned/whatever and not a picture of something.
Because of all these things, and many more, this will NOT be a purchase for me. I really can't even find anything at all that I enjoyed about it but that's me.
We built them a town, helped them find the moon, rebuilt another town so the residents could experience seasons and now ................ it's time to decorate for Christmas!!!
The graphics are amazing. That bloated, animated fun look. Music was cute and sound fx were perfect.
Relaxed, Timed and "x" Number of Moves are your choices of difficulty.
The game play is a typical match 3 with a twist. There are obstacles in the form of locked boxes, iced boxes, and some you haven't seen before .... anywhere - lol. There are bonuses for matching 4 or more like items in the form of bombs which come in v-e-r-y handy - lol. And the fun doesn't stop there. Move the key to the lock, get the fire to the iced boxes and sooooooooooo much more. Truly a game within a game! There is also a mahjong game between 'x' number of levels and, guess what???? NO penalties if you can't finish the game! Merry Christmas!!!!
There is a calendar that gets the daily page ripped off after 'x' number of levels. That kind of distracted me because I keep eyeing the pages and thinking .... wow, this is going to be a short game if it ends at the 25th (which makes sense because we're decorating for Christmas).
Other than that, I found this game quite fun. I purchased it without playing the demo! Would that have made a difference? Probably not - lol. It's also a great standalone game, meaning you don't need to have played the previous games to 'get' the story .... but ...... it would be nice - smile. Great for all levels of experience and perfect for a quite evening, or while enjoying a snow-storm outside, or just a lazy sunny afternoon.

Graphics were not that great. The game board could have been larger. There were only 2 colors .... grey marked boxes and white 'x' boxes. Sound and music was ok.
The gist of the game is this: There are numbers on all 4 sides of the graph game board. Based on those numbers, you create pictures by filling in the boxes with grey squares and x's. Make 2 mistakes and you try again. You can buy 'bonuses' of a sort to help you and the obstacles are your mistakes. Get up to 3 gold stars depending on how well you play the level.
Do I sound bored with the game? Sorry. Do I sound unimpressed with the game? Sorry. Because I AM!!! While the game is challenging (it does offer a tutorial) the finished product ..... the picture you created .................. is impossible to SEE!!! Oh, wait a minute .... somewhere in the 15 levels I played during the demo I think there was a bow.
I recommend this for ............ no one ........... and surprise surprise ............ it's not a purchase for me. How disappointing.
Once again, a great storyline. Your friend has gone missing in the Lexington Hotel while investigating the Hotel's Legend. wooooooooo.
Graphics were absolutely amazing! Ghosts popping out at you, pictures that aren't just pictures. LOVED it! Voice overs, music and sound fx were great as well.
Casual, Advanced, Hardcore and Custom difficulties.
HOGs were mainly list type with a silhouette thrown in for good measure - lol. Not tremendously interactive and no alternate game. Mini Games were quite fun.
Interactive map and a camera that plays back cassettes for you.
This is a great standalone game (don't have to own/played the previous 9 games), great for beginners through experts, great storyline that flowed very well. Perfect if it would have come out for Halloween instead of the Holidays. Just sayin'. If for whatever reason you don't opt for the CE, the SE won't disappoint.
Join me in finding out about the Legend of the Lexington Hotel.
A lovely young couple sits beneath a statue in the park ... lovingly gazing into each others' eyes. Then, the statue ...... reaches out ...... to grab them! Statues in Eastwood are attacking the people. Your character, journalist Emma Roberts, is there to investigate.
Graphics were very well done. No over-use of those crayon colors that drive people crazy. Ok. Ok. Me. They drive ME crazy. lol. Music, especially when the game started, was on a very short loop (annoying) but it did get a bit better. I really can't comment on the Sound fx, however, the 'special fx' were amazing. If you want the absolutely BEST experience with this game, point and click on EVERYTHING!!!! The 'visual' effects were just out of this world AMAZING! Yep. Just click on everything. lol.
Voice overs started off kind of slow ..... literally. H-e-l-l-oooooooo, woouuuullldd yooouuuuu plllleeeassseeeeee haaannndddd mmmmmeeeeee thaaaaatttttt pppppeeeeen. Ultimately, the voice overs got much better. Whew.
Casual, Normal, Hard and Custom difficulties.
Instead of an unobtrusive diary/journal, you have a humongous briefcase that has your notes and objectives. You do get a transportable map which has a gold star show up if you've found all the collectibles and morphing objects in that area! The 'hint' button is NOT transportable.
HOGs - 28 - ran the gamut from silhouette to find 'x' number of something to list type and all were interactive. There is an alternative jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes, I just could NOT cope with the HOG because it was sooooo 'busy'. So, it was nice to know an alternative was there. Mini Games - also 28 - were quite new with some being lengthy in that there were several parts to it.
CE Bling: The usual fare of wallpapers, music, replayable games and .......... * Collectibles - 25 - (5 each of 5 sets consisting of toys, ocarinas, postcards, actress' things and I forget what the last one is. Bad me). * Beyond Objects (Morphing Objects) - 36.
Every time you collect something you earn invisible coins that go onto your Press Pass (which sticks out of the left side of the screen), thus upgrading you from cub reporter to journalist, etc.
Is it CE-worthy??? Collectibles, Morphing Objects and a Bonus Game. The extras were just too easy to find.
A nice storyline and I LOVE the special fx so it's a definite purchase for me. CE? Don't know. Maybe with a great BOGO sale.
Just in time for the Christmas holidays! Your character arrives home one evening to find an abandoned kitten on her doorstep. She takes him in, feeds and cares for him, and it's off to bed. Suddenly, she is awakened ....... by her new kitten .................. who is standing on 2 legs ......................... and TALKING! Actually, asking for her help. The Christmas Star has been STOLEN! OHNO!!!!!
Music - The initial game page has the lovely Carol of the Bells. Music continues to be Christmasy throughout. Graphics were well done. Not a lot of visual fx such as making lights twinkle when you click on them, etc. Voice overs were GREAT .... considering you're talking to cats - lol.
Kitten, Santa, Puss N Boots and Custom difficulties.
HOGs were slightly interactive lists. Mini games were quite fun and easy, although sometimes the instructions weren't very clear.
No journal or diary. You have an interactive map that makes the 'hint' button much more appealing (and easier) to use. Your helper is your delightful talking cat, Simon. In one area, you have a 'gadget' to find tools. Hmmm. Sounds like this game has it all.
CE Bling: In addition to the customary wallpapers, music, etc. there are ............ * 36 collectible puzzle pieces - more than 1 can be found in any given area. * 12 morphing objects - can be difficult to find. I HAPPENED on 2 by accident - lol. * Secret Room - sorry, no idea whatsoever.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Simon the talking cat. Santa is, unfortunately, very scary looking.
I wanted to LOVE LOVE LOVE this game but came away after the demo with .... it's ok. It's extremely easy so great for beginners. I wish there were things like touching a snowman and he smiles or waves, touch lights and they twinkle .... like the previous Christmas Stories game. It's a cute story with LOTS of cute cat characters. It appears CE-worthy on paper but in reality, not so much.
If you LOVE cats this is the PURRFECT game for you (yeah, I had to go there - meow - lol) because it's ALL ABOUT THE CATS in Catsville! Not a human (or other species) to be found!
Help Santa find the missing Christmas Star and ................
