This is a fun nonogram. The play is basic, but the achievements make it interesting and challenging. You really do have to work to get through all gold levels and earn all achievements. ONE HUGE PROBLEM -- Once you have played all six avatars, the game is done. There is no way to delete or create a new player. You can keep playing the boards over, but you can't undo the previous achievements. I've have looked through the forums, the internet and even wrote to Dr. Felix -- who kindly sent me a coupon, but offered no solution. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the game retained my player history. But still worth the game credit. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Based on only the demo -- Maybe I'm missing something, but do you just keep playing the same boards over and over until you get the potion ingredients? Kind of boring. Also, sometimes I get a blank clue box -- no clues at all -- and I have to exit and then re-enter that board. Other times I get a blank clue tile within the board and can't finish the level. If you click on the blank tile, the board indicates there is a clue there, you just don't know what it is. Just weird. Similar to an old game from BigFish called Inspector Parker -- which is a much better take on this type of puzzle.
I don't recommend this game.

I usually don't review a game when I haven't played the full version, but this review is more for the developers. As mosaics go, the game is fun. If you like the genre, you might like this. But the contrast in the visuals is difficult to work with. The dark boxes and shadowy outlines are hard to differentiate and hard to count. The "dots" for the used spaces are not distinct enough to readily separate from the blank black boxes. I feel like I'm squinting to distinguish the boxes. Fix that and this line of games might be worth a game credit.
I don't recommend this game.

I like decorating games, otherwise this would not be a puzzle game for real puzzlers. I'm playing in the most challenging mode, so I don't know if some of these issues are explained in the easy mode. First, there are symbols and coins that in many levels are just not visible. When I complete levels, I often see 0 in logo bonus and 0 in coin bonus. Some of the coins are just tiny specks of gold, which is okay, but I've really pored over some of the screens and found nothing. Not sure if the 0 bonus means I've missed them, but that would be the logical conclusion. At about the 90 minute mark, I hit a "hexagonal" match 3 type puzzle that just would not respond to my cursor. No instructions on what to do. I clicked and dragged everywhere, but couldn't get anything to move. No hot spots. Had to skip the puzzle. If you have a stockpile of game credits, you might find this game amusing, but otherwise I recommend saving your money.
I don't recommend this game.

A lot of game for the money! Played for days to get through to the end. Brain Heat level is a novel tricky challenge for fans of the mosaics genre. That mode does not show mistakes. Shift around from color to color filling in what you can. Numbers are not crossed out until you've filled in the whole row - but that doesn't mean you got it right. Fill in all colors correctly and the picture will be revealed. There was one board (out of 100) where I had to guess and had to switch to a mode that revealed mistakes. Otherwise I played Brain Heat level start to finish. I didn't try the other modes, so I can't review on those. You do have to be careful dragging the cursor because boxes do not lock in like most mosaic games. Also, I did find myself scratching my head when I finished many of the boards because I still couldn't see the picture even after it was revealed. Definitely recommend Brain Heat mode!
I recommend this game!

This is a solid mosaic puzzle game. If you like the Fantasy Mosaics line, this is a more challenging but less amusing alternative. Even mosaics fans will find difficult spots with some guessing necessary. You will get all three stars if you use fewer than 3 hints, but if you are a purest, like me, and want no errors, you may have to replay some boards several times. The flower boards are annoying because you often can't tell the pink flowers boxes from the purple flower boxes from the plain green grass. It does add to the challenge, but it can be frustrating. And there are technical glitches. Once done with the picture, the "long distance view" is upside down and the game does not identify the drawing. I opted for the hardest level and played every board without hints and until I made no mistakes. It took several sittings to get through the whole game. Certainly, worth a game credit. Fans of this genre will probably like it. Enjoy
I recommend this game!

I'm well into the full version. The game goes on forever, which is a good thing on a cold rainy day. The first round for each location is a standard HO and you have to find the bonus shield. There is another surprise in the HOs, but I'll leave you to figure that one out for yourselves. After each HO round, there is a series of what seems to be random puzzles, including spotting differences, sliding locks, match 3, mah jongg tiles and various takes on HO (shadows, clues). In each round of original HOs there is another shield. The game is generally fun, but there are a few glitches that might drive perfectionists crazy. Occasionally, an item that you need to find is not listed and you have to use a hint to find out what it is. Of course, you then lose your "no hints used" bonus. No biggie -- you're playing against yourself. Other times, the item you have to find is wedged behind the permanent screen items (i.e. scoreboard) and can't be seen. The match 3s can go on forever and don't work correctly. For those familiar with the genre, this game doesn't credit a "T" formation and will randomly remove the tiles only in one direction. All that being said, the game is worth a try, a free credit or half price. Cheers!
I recommend this game!

This review is more for the developers (if they even read these) than other players. You will demo the game an decide for yourselves whether to purchase. Cursed House is remarkably similar to the Spellarium games. I like these types of match three games that include the element of working through maze-like challenges. However, this game would not stop interrupting me to tell me what I was trying to do, give me hints, and highlight the special squares. I could not find a tutorial on/off switch in the options. I was playing in "relaxed mode," so maybe it stops if you play "timed." I would buy this if there was a way to make the extreme hand-holding stop. But alas . . . nope.
I don't recommend this game.

I only played the demo, but I will not be buying this game. I have purchased most (maybe all) of the previous Redemption Cemetery series, but this one just isn't fun or interesting. It pretends to be more adult by offering a dark theme -- evil spirits invading people when they fall asleep. Feels like its jumping all over the place. You get told to wake someone up, you try three different solutions, nothing works. You get told there's one more chance and suddenly you're in someone's dreams. The puzzles are really easy - and I played in the hardest mode. With such a dark theme, there really isn't any way to enjoy the game unless there is more of a challenge. I'll check in on reviews from players who went beyond the demo, but I don't think I'll change my mind.
I don't recommend this game.

I've read the three enthusiastic reviews and they are somewhat accurate. If you just want to wait for your hint button to recharge over and over again, you might be able to clear the third board and the ones after that. I love a challenging Griddler -- I don't even mind the occasional need to guess. But I can't imagine ever being able to do the "expert level" on this game. There is no way to block out boxes for a second shape after you have blocked it out for the first shape. For example, you know that something cannot be a square, and you can mark it. But then when you change to circle or hexagon, even if you know the box cannot be a circle or a hexagon, you cannot mark it because you have already marked it for not being a square. So there is no way to tell if more than one shape or color has been eliminated. Maybe I missed something, but this is just too random for me.
I don't recommend this game.
