Review of Completed Game...
This series knocks my socks off. Its comparable to Roads of Rome to me because that series is my favorite builder/TM. In Roads of Rome I was able to achieve gold in all the levels after much trial and error and it was rewarding. That is how I feel about this game/series.
There are 40 levels and 4 bonus levels (available if you get 3 stars on each 10 levels in its chapter). Some levels are way harder than others but with a little strategy, all are solvable. I played on normal mode and I was able to get 3 stars on each level, even the bonus ones. Level 40 is quite hard let me tell you! It took me almost 6 times to get 3 stars in it and even complete the game lol I feel so accomplished because I was able to devise a plan that worked in most levels. It comes down to what you build, what you don't build even if you have space and what the goals are. Sometimes you don't need to do anything extra than what the goal is and I would forget that and fail the level only to look at it again and go ohhhh I don't need all that fluff. Each chapter is in a new place and this time you deal with fire, floods, falling rocks etc. Each one made it a little more challenging. I could really live without the fire scenes again as they took me forever.
There are big spiders in this game but they are cartoons so it shouldn't scare anyone. I am afraid of spiders and they didn't bug me and since I got to eradicate them, I liked it even more.
I can only hope they keep making more and more in this series. I like Northern Tale too but this one just has that extra something special that I like. I can't explain it, I just love this game.
The game also features a relaxed no timer mode, normal mode and hard mode. I tried the hard mode and was able to do it with 3 stars in the first chapter but since I had just completed the game on normal, I really had no desire to go play it again. The difference looked like you couldn't click things in advance like if you didn't have a free worker, it would tell you that instead of being able to queue things. That being said the guy doesn't always run back to the house before you get the items or can play again but it did seem a little harder and of course shorter levels.
I will play this game again sometime. The only thing that Id like to see are achievements but even without them, this game is worth the money or at least a punch coupon!
I recommend this game!

I was kind of bored with this offering. Usually I am a huge fan of Eipix games but I think the plot line is what ruined it for me. It was just a bit silly and sooo overdone with the jealous ghost story line. Also, the ghosts voiceovers were sooo annoying because they echoed.
However, there were parts I enjoyed. I love the way Eipix do their hidden object scenes because even though there are a lot of items to find, it never feels like there is an overwhelming amount of scenes to play. I prefer more adventure than hidden object scenes and this developer is very capable of giving you the best of both worlds. There are a lot of puzzles in this game too varying in difficulty. Some were way too easy but others were head scratchers and I did skip a few. You can play a marble pop game if you don't want to do the hidden object scenes. I did a few and it was quite fun.
There are flowers to collect and 15 morphing objects. I like when there are just a few to find as it makes it more challenging when not in every scene. I found most. There are the usual fare of achievements, bonuses and extra game play. The main game ended okay but kind of abrupt however the bonus game did not conclude it as it was a separate story that bored me and I did not finish it.
What I'd like to say is a big THANK YOU to the developers because in some of their older games I had expressed in my reviews that I really wished the collectibles went into the bonus game and the achievements for that matter. They didn't used to do this but they listened to their customer base because now they do. I like when games cross over into the bonus chapter not story lines because you should get a proper ending if buying just the standard edition but its nice to have the extras from the CE follow you into the bonus chapter. It makes me actually want to play them because usually Im burned out by then but I want all the achievements so I keep playing it. Although I didn't finish it in this game...but I digress.
This game plays quick although it took me awhile to finish it due to boredom I suppose. Maybe I should have turned the voiceovers off, I don't know. You can customize the heck out of this game and I love the options.
As always with Eipix games my favorite part was the Making Of in the extras. I think these developers are just so funny and it looks like they really love their jobs. Keep up the good work.
I recommend this game because I think most will like it and I was quite surprised I didn't to be honest.
I recommend this game!

I really had high hopes for this game considering you play two different characters, which is a different spin and could have been really fun but instead it went nowhere and was a bore!
Here's the deal. You play the two different lovers, Emily and Enron and you each send things to each other through magic portals in the house to help the other advance in the main game. In the bonus game, you are just Emily. There is very little storyline in the main game and its unclear really why you are separated from your lover or who he is etc and unless you get the collector's edition and play the bonus level, you will never have any answers because the whole back story is in the bonus chapter. (I personally hate when developers do this)
The main game has lots and lots of hidden object scenes in this game, way more than I personally like. You visit each one twice and its interactive like flipping a can over to get an item you put somewhere else. I honestly found them rather dull by the mid point but you can switch to match 3 instead which I found a really great option in this game.
There are mini games and a good number of them in the bonus chapter. Some were really easy and others somewhat challenging but I enjoyed most of them and only skipped one. There are achievements (the usual fare plus some game related ones). There are also collectibles like vampire things, garlic and bats and you can decorate your screen and a castle. Neither one was too exciting. The bats blend in though so some are hard to spot. Most I hit by accident.
There is a map, it tells you where you need to do stuff or you can click that part off. I left it on due to the sheer boredom I had for this game midway through. I just wanted it to be over.
The main game is not complete. You need to bonus chapter and in the bonus chapter you get to make a choice at the end that determines the ending of the game. So in theory you could play the bonus game twice but I can't imagine why you'd want to unless you loved this game...
My biggest problem with this game is the lack of storyline which made the main game not exciting and I had no concept of what the characters were like or how they met or their supposed love affair. You just learn a lot about Enron's dad. I really could have lived without this one and Im surprised I finished it.
I rated it 3 stars because of the graphics, quality and mini games. The bonus chapter, even though a bit boring had a lot of puzzles instead of just extra fluff like hidden object scene after hidden object scene like most we see. There is a lot of bonus content too. The thing is though, if a game plot line isn't good, no amount of bonus content, graphics or extra fluff will save it. I happen to like the vampire theme but this one was badly done and its a shame.
I don't recommend this game.

I usually like this series but this story line was rather boring. It was a usual love triangle jealousy story and I found it rather predictable and not all that exciting. There are collectibles...40 cards to collect and Im not really sure why as they had absolutely nothing to do with the story line. They are extremely easy to find unlike some other boom zap games where its almost impossible. However, I like the challenging ones better...
The game has achievements, most having to do with completing chapters in less than 30 minutes and its easy to do but obviously makes the game super short. It took me 4 hours to complete this game including the bonus chapter...
The best part of this game like most boom zap games were the abundance of puzzles. That being said, I wish they were a little more challenging but I still looked forward to stumbling upon them. I like boom zap's hidden object scenes too because they are actually hidden within compartments and needing other items to find the listed items. It actually makes them feel like more mini puzzles!
The bonus chapter kind of wrapped up why the murderer did what they did but it wasn't necessary and was short and a bit boring overall. The hidden object scenes/puzzles saved this game but I think the standard edition is the better choice as the extras this game offers are just not enough to warrant buying even on sale. Some games are just better without all the fluff.

I used to LOVE ERS games but I have found them to be quite dull lately especially many sequels down the line. Even good series need to end people BUT I actually really liked this game which surprised me. I found it easy and was able to do all the mini games with no problem. The hidden object scenes were mostly the interactive scene we usually see but there were a couple different ones thrown in.
The graphics are the usual pretty fare that ERS is known for. There are 7 chapters and then the bonus. The main game ends satisfactorily and there is no need for the bonus chapter. The ending is a choose your own and it would be interesting to know if that changes the bonus game based on what you pick or how it changes the game overall. You have a scale that you can measure how guilty you feel each party is. Its not mandatory you do this however. I kept forgetting to go do it and finished the game without it til the end because in the final scene you need to put all the marbles in the scale to determine who is to blame but other than that, no real reason to use it.
As far as ERS games go, I actually enjoyed the story line but then I still like this series, well not gold bug but I digress. There isn't really a helper in this game, thank you. There are animals you pick up like a bear to shake down a tree but nothing you keep the entire game.
There were a few times I had to consult the strategy guide but that was because the solution to where I was stuck, was not something you'd ever think to do. It made no sense and those moments were not my favorite.
However as a CE, this game is lacking. There is a cat room and you stumble upon toys throughout the game but they aren't really collectibles because its mandatory you pick them up. You can go into this cat room and play with your cat. NO THANK YOU! It had nothing to do with the game so its a bit out of place. There are no collectibles, no achievements but you have the who cares assortment of wallpapers, screen savers, music score (if you have any other ERS game, you already have this music there as its repeated), hidden object scenes/puzzles you can replay and the bonus game. You can also take pictures and there is a pull down tab on the top of the screen. I am not sure why you would want to take them. I opted out of this feature.
I personally was not a fan of the bonus game. I didn't understand what it had to do with the main game and I did not finish it. Thats why I wonder if choosing who you believe the bad guy is, is a good idea. I think the game wants you to go a certain way and I went the other so the bonus made no sense. Inane things to do.
So here is my recommendation. Buy the standard edition. You will get a good game with an actual conclusion. Its good to see that ERS no longer continues the conclusion into the bonus chapter as I always felt that was cheap. The extras don't warrant the extra price so I don't recommend the CE but I do the SE. Cheers.

Review of Completed game...
What could have been a great game was cut short. Usually TMs take me days to weeks to complete but I finished this game in 2 hours on timed mode! There was never a level I had to replay to get 3 stars and almost every level is the same. Get items, open a door, get a chest. This game goes nowhere fast and even though it seemed to have a good amount of levels, they are so easy and mind numbingly boring that the game just flies by. A total waste of money. I bought this after the hour trial and after another hour, maybe less the game is over? I think this would be the perfect intro game though for people who want to get into TMs because its easy and wont make a beginner want to pull their hair out wanting to get gold unlike some games in this genre. For a beginner, go for it. As for an expert or anyone who likes a challenge, look elsewhere. I do not recommend this game. A complete disappointment to what is usually a great genre.
I don't recommend this game.

I was afraid this game was going to be too much like the series from Elephant, Grim Tales especially since their first installment was about a forsaken bride as well. However this game was nothing like the other series and was very well done as per usual with this developer. The storyline was easy to follow but also tugged at the heart strings. Anyone could relate to it making it a more personal story. Also, the main game had a good ending, the voiceovers were superb and i loved the hidden object scenes.
The hidden object scenes are varied and each time you get a different kind which I loved. There were lots and lots of mini games some that you could skip and others that you can't but you can hint them to death to solve it as they were puzzle pieces mainly. I found the difficulty level of the puzzles to be a little too basic for me but I am a puzzle lover so I am usually more advanced at them anyways.
The achievements were a little annoying considering you would need to play the game more than once to achieve all of them. An example is instead of playing the hidden object scenes you could play a domino game. You either got an achievement for doing all the hogs or one for the dominoes. Or one for doing half in dominoes and half hogs. Or for doing at least one domino and one hog. I like when I can get all the achievements in one go. The collectables weren't outstanding either. There are fairies to find and they are extremely hard to spot so good luck. Also, you are trying to fill up a book with elusive items you spot which are impossible too. I found 8 of the 30 I believe.
The bonus chapter was not quite worth the extra money in my opinion although well done. I would have been quite alright by just getting the SE on this one which is why I took a star off. This is a solid 5 star standard edition game because of the fun I had playing it and graphics/story line. However the achievements, collectables and bonus chapter did not live up to the superbness of the rest of the game.
Also for the life of me I could not find the strategy guide. At first I thought it was just me but I saw people in the forums having issues as well. I had no way to access it ever! I found that very weird as I needed it a few times to no avail!
Go for the SE. Loved this game. I look forward to more.
I don't recommend this game.

this game started off really strong and I was instantly enthralled with it. I bought it after only playing 10 minutes thinking this was going to be an instant love affair and at first I was smitten but later down the line the game changed. I find this happens a lot with games by this developer. When their games first start, I absolutely love them but then its like the developers get lazy and the later parts of their games go nowhere.
So the beginning of this game is enthralling, heart pounding and exciting. The developer throws you into a game where you get to make decisions. The graphics are lifelike and amazing and the character you play is a bad butt as I can't say the other word :). I loved her and was excited to see where this game was going to go. Hidden object scenes were the usual interactive fare with a few fragmented object scenes. There are no collectibles I noticed but there were achievements that were mostly story related so no matter what, you will receive them. No challenge there. Also, the puzzles were pretty easy by my standards. There were none I had to skip except for a game of checkers because I seem to be considerably awful at checkers in general. I never move my pieces the right way, I get over taken etc and the board was at a weird angle so seeing where your girl was going made it even more difficult but I think for the average person, this mini game would have been easy. I just stink at checkers, funny considering I rock at Chess...but I digress...
You find out you are part of an order of women who protect the world and can go back and forth in time to save the day. You remember some stuff from childhood, have a weird weapon you kept and suddenly are thrown into this new world. When you meet the people in charge of this order, they teach you how to use the weird weapon you kept as a child and you start finding potions that help you use powers that are within you that you didn't know you had. These powers help you overcome the bad guys and ultimately help you in your new life.
My issue with this game is hard to describe. In most games you have the ability to control your cursor and to click anywhere at any speed you want. When you do that in this game, the cursor comes up with a red stop sign and won't let you click where you want to click. It makes you give up control and I didn't like that. Therefore you can only explore what the game lets you explore and since you are this supposed warrior woman, I did not like that aspect of the game. I didn't want to be limited and because you are the game goes really slow because you can only go at the pace the game wants you to go. I have never experienced this is other games except for when developers don't let you skip dialogue or credits but this is different because its the main game!
Also, the latter part of this game like I said fell apart and so the ending of this game was not up to par. I felt cheated and like something was missing because after all that I did in the game, I felt as if I really didn't do anything. I give this 3 stars because I loved the first part of it, hated the cursor part and disliked the ending but the first part is so enthralling, so engrossing that it deserves a mention. I just wish the developers would have gone all the way with it instead of letting me down...Its like in the games Sins of the Fathers, the first part of that game was superb and the hidden object scenes were awesome and then halfway through the game the hidden object scenes stopped being interactive or unique and were just lists and the characters stopped being interesting and it got dragged on to the point I couldn't even be bothered to play the bonus chapter and that was a game I LOVED so much in the beginning but it fell apart, just like this game did. This is why I don't do reviews until I finish a game...just because a game starts good doesn't mean its a great game...
Enjoy the demo but leave the rest of it...its not worth the disappointment.
I don't recommend this game.

Now, here's a game I happened to look at and think hmm thats not for me but I needed to use some game credits and bought it later on and I'm so glad I did! What a diamond in the rough this is. I have never heard of this developer before but if this is what they are offering, I cannot wait for what else they have coming up!
Game is a fantasy type adventure hidden object game. There are 3 different kinds of HOGs. Put the object back in the right place, find items from an interactive list and silhouette that you find and use within the scene until you pick up the last item. It was all very interactive and I liked the variety. I was never bored of the hogs like in some games. The puzzles were fun too. None of them were very challenging but there were a good variety and some I hadn't seen before.
There are items to collect and they are a bit hard to find. I played with the map showing me nothing except where the collectors items were and even then I found them challenging. I love when developers have that option to see where they are on a map. I played the hardest mode and even though there were a few black bar hints, I was mostly on my own. The items to collect were 4 different collection sets of 8 objects. Snakes, pinecones, skulls and something else I can't remember. I liked finding the extras but even without them, I would have loved this game. Some games need extra fluff to be good but this one had the storyline and game play instead.
The main game had about 6 chapters. I realized I was on chapter 4 after I had only played about 2 hours. I thought this game was going to be short because of that but the game was actually really long and had so many things to do. There were lots of things you left to venture farther in the game that you had to return to later. I love games like that. Games where you never return to destinations are too linear for me. You get a map after you enter the other world and it is very helpful. The graphics were extremely lifelike as well.
Usually I don't care for fantasy games but this one was something special. Instead of having a bunch of cutesy characters, it had characters with personality and realness. There is a helper although for the longest time I didn't realize it was there because its an owl and stays in your inventory. I think I used it twice so it didn't bother me as much as other helpers. At first I thought it was a statue! LOL
What I liked most about this game is something a bit weird. You get a dagger early on in the game and you get to use it MULTIPLE TIMES like all game instead of throwing it away like in other games and having to pick up 10 other ones along the way. I got to keep the dagger and use it as needed. I never understood why in other games you wouldn't keep a pocketknife or a handy tool. This game makes sense.
The bonus chapter was fairly long as well and even though it started in the same place, it takes you away to a underwater world so different scenes. The bonus is not needed to understand the main game. The main game did end sufficiently but the bonus was fun nonetheless.
Don't miss this gem of a game!
I recommend this game!

I am not sure if I liked this game. I played the entire thing, achieved gold on every level. Most times I could achieve gold without having to do a level over. If you click the men, they build things faster which makes the game easier to complete. I also did all the bonus levels and got every trophy. I never quit this game so it wasn't boring but it wasn't exactly riveting either.
I didn't find this game hard but there were a few levels, I barely finished on time. Levels don't really change much which is why I think this game was not that interesting. There were always bonus tasks and then game tasks. In almost every level you have to defeat a wizard's portal. It is soooo annoying in the beginning but by clicking on the flying dragon who enters the game, you get different tools that help you become better, faster and at the near end, able to conquer the wizard's shield which kills him faster. You always need 5 men 50 gold and 50 food to defeat a portal. There are other tasks sometimes like getting gems or watering flowers or trees but mostly the wizard is what you deal with. I was happy when I would get a level without the wizard. They are few and far between but still a fresh breath of air. Levels with 3 wizard portals were almost impossible but I did get gold on all levels by the end.
There are 48 regular levels and 4 bonus levels. 4 chapters. If you don't mind the same levels over and over and over then you'll like this game but if your like me and like variety and games that get harder as time goes on....you'll likely have mixed feelings or not like this game at all...
Im on the fence. I don't think I'd play this game again but during the time I played it, I did enjoy parts of it. It kept me busy but it doesn't really work braincells. The bonus game on chapter 4 does test the brain cells however. That is the only level it took me multiple times to figure out how to do it but once I figured it out, I realized it wasn't that hard...Just tedious like the wizard portals.
Try it and see but for me I would rather play the Delicious series, My kingdom for the Princess, roads of rome or any other TM with more variety...
