But for seasoned players like myself....not so much. I am giving this high marks because it is a good game and had I played it years ago, I would have LOVED it but because I am not a beginner at time management/builder games, I felt this game was a tad too easy. Ok, super super easy.
You are rescuing a baby dragon, there are 55 levels and each level has you do various tasks like filling holes, slaying bandits & gargoyles and getting materials to do so. There was not a lot of variety in what you do. Sometimes the only task would be to slay a gargoyle and its not one of those games where you have to complete the entire game board just do ONE task. Instead, you do the portion it tells you to so sometimes you have soooo much time left over but other levels it seems as if you have too many things to do because you'll have not as much time to do them.
However, time was not a factor for me and I found that I got the gold time on every level the first try except ONE and the only reason I didnt earn gold that time is because I did the level wrong haha So this is why, this would be the PERFECT game for a person new to this genre. You get plenty of time to complete levels AND you can click these blue goblin guys when you first start that give you extra time plus open chests in levels that give you extra time.
Even though this game had 55 levels, I finished this game pretty quickly. Generally TM games take me weeks or even months to finish but this one took me a few days. Thank goodness I found this little game for free! I did like this and I do recommend it BUT just know its VERY VERY easy so I think anyone that wants a challenge will probably want to look elsewhere. Cheers
I recommend this game!

I got this as a free game of the day on that site of the same name...and I liked it. I can't say I would have ever played full price for it but for a daily deal, I would recommend this game.
It starts out like any other TM fashion game. Only in this one you want to get found, think project runway and you open boutiques in 5 different places and compete against the people in the towns. You are always losing at first and by the time you are halfway through, you of course beat the owners and take over the town. Typical plot line but I liked all the extras and items to buy. I liked how there was sort of a twist of playing against somebody although I think it was fixed so you always beat them later.
There are no mini games so its purely TM unless you count pushing the buttons to put her makeup on. You are dressing models in the appropriate fashions and you know whether they like them by a smiley face or a frown. You can replay levels to get gold. I found that its pretty easy to get an expert score and I only had to repeat 2 levels in this game which is rare for me as I am a bit new to this genre.
The negatives are this game gets really repetitive. Although you do get different models as the game goes on and you do have different themes to dress them, it all repeats and its like doing the same thing over and over. I would have liked better assistants instead of them only covering ONE side of the dressing room, make up table etc but since it was pretty easy to achieve expert anyways, I guess it didn't make a big difference.
Games like this are predictable but I find them fun for whatever reason and I like to challenge myself to a fast paced game. As long as you go into it expecting it to be like every other game in this genre, you won't be disappointed. I will say, wait for a sale or a daily deal though. I started this 4 days ago, played maybe an hour a night and Im already done. Thats pretty short for these kinds of games but I did enjoy myself.
I recommend this game!

A.l.a...war games...
This is why reviews should be done AFTER playing the entire game. When I demoed this a couple years ago, I absolutely loved it but didn't have full access to a pc and now I do so I demo it again and love it. I think its going to be a 4 or even 5 star game. However after playing past the demo and completing the entire game, I realized how wrong I was about loving it. I knew going into it that it wouldn't have a map and be a little more wandering around and have more hidden object scenes because it was a little old and I was totally fine with that, love a challenge. None of that bugged me but what bugged me is what happened to the story line! In the beginning you are playing an intern to a famous plant scientist and then BAM! something happens and the next thing you know, its like 20 years later and you are on a boat that broke down on a beach which happens to be the same place you were an intern at years ago...ONLY you aren't that intern, you are like a college kid with his buddies...soooo that was just confusing but I went along with it. I like plants taking over the world type games.
So now you are on this island and all of your friends are missing and you need to find them blah blah but you keep stumbling upon these mutant plants and notes about this scientist guy who stayed on this island his whole life and worked on plants. I thought there would be some more story but no that's the gist and the rest of the game is mindless wandering around. I will say the island has beautiful mutant plants and venus fly traps which I LOVE but it kind of fell apart and got sloppy. I did love the mini games as most of them weren't this easy peasy stuff we see now but actual taxing the mind and I did like the interactiveness of the hidden object games.
So remember how I said I didn't mind having a map? Well I didn't need it at all until the very end because you have to do some very repetitive tasks that you can't do all at once and you need to bring the item you find each time back to a place that is very far away from the rest of the places in the game. There are 6 of these items which I didn't really understand the need behind them but you have to travel very far out and then back and forth then back. My dogs were barking! Anyways, I would have at that moment LOVED a transport map but no I had to go back and forth, back and forth.
Overall, I don't find this game awful. It took me 4+ hours to play it. I liked the hidden object scenes, puzzles and mutant plants. It doesn't have voiceovers or a map but its 2011 so that wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I just really really disliked where the storyline went or didn't go for that matter. It didn't make sense, I didn't understand the need for that intro at all and there is an ending but nothing that explains much. This is why I wait until after playing games to review them. I wanted this for years, bought it and honestly, I could have lived without it. What a shame...
I don't recommend this game.

I LOVE this game. I really, really love it. Here's why. I like time management games, builder games, hidden object games etc but in most time management and builder games, it gets repetitive and you end up doing the same things over and over again. OR you can't get the gold medals no matter what strategy you use and have to resort to a walk through to figure out how exactly you do it. BUT then there's this game which is different every level because the flowers give this game a different perspective. Instead of just building houses to give you money or wood or rocks, you have to figure out a riddle on each level to plot the garden a certain way to get a medal. SO not only are you trying to get a gold time, but you are trying to manage the garden correctly and for a lot of levels, it took me awhile to figure out exactly what the game wanted. This game gave my brain a workout that I loved and instead of getting bored halfway through or at the very end and not going back to get gold on every level, I actually took the time to. I got all the medals except I am missing 2 of the really expensive decorations. I reckon I need to get more coins on the mini game levels which I tended to just skid by to get gold in most. I liked the variety this game offered and the uniqueness of planting the flowers. I mean who thought a gardening game could be so fun? I sure didn't especially since most of these farm & garden games are so badly done. This one was like a breath of fresh air.
And then there is the plot which most TM games just fail at but this one was actually a good one. I will admit, I didn't read all the dialogue because I just wanted to keep playing the levels, immersing myself so deeply within this game. I mean there were nights I didn't go to bed until 3am because I literally could not rip myself away from this game. But I did find the plot line engaging and interesting and it set itself up for another one so I am soooooo excited! I played this one before the first one so I need to go play that one now but this game is worth every penny. I see on other sites, it was released as a platinum edition. I hope I didn't miss anymore levels because I would buy it if there were more.
The only thing about this game that irked me was the police shacks as I kept wishing I could upgrade it to have more cops on patrol because sometimes there were sooo many robbers that ONE cop just didn't cut it. Also, some of the sound effects were soooo annoying like the birds cawing or the workers saying "I'm on it" every 2 seconds but I just would mute it and the game was still enjoyable.
I consider myself an intermediate time management player, an expert hidden object player but TMs have just been interesting to me in the past couple years. Some builder games I find impossible to get all gold on like Royal Envoy, My Kingdom For the Princess but this one I found to be middle of the road. Some levels were impossible at first but with more play time they became better especially when you use the bonuses well. However, other TMs like the Roads of Rome series, I was able to get gold in every level of those. I find it fun when I can beat the entire game and I will probably find a way to get all the structures by getting more coins in the mini games.
I wish all games could be this engaging and entertaining. I recommend this game to anyone who likes a challenge or likes a relaxing game. I really believe that this is a game most people will enjoy, just mute the cawwww and the Im on it and enjoy it! Kudos!
I recommend this game!

Like all the rest in this series, you are in a castle, an evil witch has taken over and taken her 5 amulets and thrown them throughout the castle. You must find all 5 of them to banish her forever and save the day. To do this, you must help a lot of people and save them from madness. I never understand why the witch doesn't just destroy the amulets or kill you because she should know by now that you will find them all and banish her eventually LOL but I digress.
I love this developer because they have very creative puzzles and hidden object scenes. In fact the hidden object scenes in this game made my whole experience! They weren't just interactive but you brought objects from other places and put them into puzzles and scenes and then put back the items or helped fix the puzzle. I've never seen something so original. Other developers do have the putting back of the objects but this developer did it first so I give them kudos for redesigning them and making them even more interesting. Of course there are regular lists too and find a certain number of an item like glass pieces, toys etc
I found the puzzles to range anywhere from easy to hard and I liked the variety. I love puzzles and do like a challenge but not every puzzle needs to make me want to pull my hair out and I liked having some that were an inventive spin on an old one and others that just blew my mind with creativity. I rated high for hidden objects & puzzles which I usually don't rate so high because I find them too easy or boring but both of these kept my attention.
There are 5 different areas to search in and they open up while you are still in the other. There is lots of things to do in each area and you do go back to the other areas even after you think you have done most everything. The hint shows you where to go but you cannot morph there which was a shame. However, I was playing in the hard mode so I am not sure if you can morph there on casual but I doubt it. So there is a lot of back and forth. I don't mind back and forth when there is a purpose to it and I felt this game always had a purpose. Things made sense and because of its layout I was able to remember where things needed to be done.
This series is one I enjoy and therefore I liked the game. It wraps up at the end but its not the most satisfying ending although I felt like it was complete if that makes sense. I saw no reason to buy the CE and I felt like I made the right decision getting the standard. I do like this series and how this developer keeps their games fresh and would love to see more. Kudos.
Oh & as a side note, this game stayed true to itself and has NO creatures to dress up or name or anything that is purpley pink. Thank you developers~!
I recommend this game!

Liked this game and it had a lot of levels so it kept me busy for quite a long time. There are lots of upgrades to do and things to make your spa nice. It also had mini games to get more ingredients like make incense and tanning lotion which were a nice break from the craziness of the spa.
My reasons for not giving this 5 stars is because there were some things I would have liked to see that weren't here. For instance throughout the entire game, you only get 1 spa tub and once you start getting a lot of clients, 1 spa tub is not enough! It would have been nice to have multiple of these as well as more ways to keep people patient or more challenge near the end especially. There were a few levels I had to do over due to not making enough money but no one ever left "angry" or walked out like other games in this genre. I feel I am intermediate when it comes to TM games and this felt easy even to me. There were some levels, I was soooo slow and still would pass it with expert and move on.
So to sum up, its a good game BUT it could have been more challenging, better upgrades and more characters who had real issues just not complacent people but I guess that goes into the challenging factor. I hope the next one will address those concerns as I have not played it but do own it. Kudos.
This game was playable on a Mac 10.9.3 Mavericks system so even though it recommends 10.4/10.5, this OS worked nicely. Only thing I found sometimes was when the game would load, the cursor would not always align with the custom one and you cannot turn the custom one off BUT quitting the game and restarting it generally fixed the problem. Cheers
I recommend this game!

Oh what a waste of good graphics and what could have been a great TM game. I love TM games, builders especially and own most of them and I really enjoyed this one at first with the life like graphics and the fact its not easy and does bend the mind and I still like those things about it but as the game went on, it made less sense. Its hard to see the hints about how the game plays because of the colors used against each other. I felt like levels were really repetitive with not much going on after awhile. The music is enough to drive a person crazy so I turned it off however I did enjoy most of the sound effects.
The characters became slow and bogged down as the levels progressed. I really needed them to be faster than the game allowed and I felt like I never had enough couriers, workers no matter how many I bought. This game is sooo beautiful and life like but the gameplay as time went on became tedious and made the game rather glitchy and annoying. I had high hopes for this game for the first 30 minutes and considered it a purchase later on but I am sooo glad I kept playing because this is a definite NO. It had great potential but then went downhill and thats a shame :(
I don't recommend this game.

I remember when V.OGAT had good games...however this is NOT one of them. This game is not challenging as it tells you everything you have to do, it has lots of dialogue that has no voiceovers and what the characters do have to say isn't the least bit interesting and the gameplay is mediocre at best. Its a hidden object game but I actually would like a bit more hidden objects because the adventure part of this game is sooooo boring. The HOGs that were there had some interactive bits and the puzzles were a bit original BUT nothing had that wow factor. I know this is an older game but a game can be 20 years old and still be good because good is good no matter how long its been. This game is putting me to sleep, making my eyes water and sting like I need a nap.
I hate to leave games unplayed but I just cannot play this one anymore. There's a map, there's puppets that you create and make, there's people along the way that you help but all of it is BORING. AND its a huge file game like almost 1GB and on my computer, it ran slow as a turtle even though I just upgraded everything on it. The bottom line is, I can't finish this game therefore I can't recommend it. Im literally falling asleep and since this was this developer's last game before going to mobile and other things, it really shows why they couldn't hack it anymore in casual gaming and thats a shame because I have some games by them that are all types of awesome but this gets 2 thumbs down from me. However, graphics are quite lovely especially for when this game was released but even that couldn't save it...
I don't recommend this game.

I started out really really liking this game and had planned to give it rave reviews but over time this game became soooo boringggg. Its weird because all builder games are most of the same plots, same actions, same basic principle yet some are wayyy more fun than others. You can queue items and uncheck them if need be, you can speed up your workers & get more inventory by hitting the pink work button in some levels. There are about 50 levels, each chapter in a different part like snow, swamp etc
I guess the main issue with this game is the fact there's NO wow factor. Nothing is new, nothing is interesting. Tasks are repetitive each level. You always start with one guy, you always need to upgrade everything to the max potential usually because if you don't, you won't have enough gold, stones etc to move on and will have to restart. I was able to get gold on most every level the first time and definitely by the second except for the last 3 levels of the game. One of those took me 25 minutes to do! LOL I bet I could have gotten gold had I tried again but I could feel my eyes glazing over. There are no voiceovers in the main story. Same story as always, going through h.e.l.l. to save a girl and meet characters along the way that help you out while you get rid of their bad guys...
My biggest pet peeve and the reason I really started to dislike this game is the buildings. Once you build something, you only get ONE item from it so its almost impossible to get some things built especially things you really need. Then once you upgrade, you get 3 items, then 6, then 9 and you get no more than 9 at a time. They fill pretty quick but why just 1? Also, the music started to really bug me because although I liked it at first, it starts to loop and its sooo annoying. I usually turned it off but then the game itself even turned up high, had like no game sound effects which I really like.
This is an ok game. Its average. If you like this genre, you will probably like it especially if you are not picky and just like to do the actions. I can't get real excited about this game because there is nothing new or special even though I played the whole thing. There are no achievements, nothing to strive for.
The bottom line is...there are wayyyy better builder games like this out like Roads To Rome, My Kingdom For the Princess, Kingdom Tales, Royal Envoy etc. This is just a mediocre attempt and although it held my interest for the first chapter or so, in the end, I just didn't feel like it was worth my time or effort. I recommend this game to lovers of this genre as the games are few and far between so for that reason alone I can see this being popular but people who like a real challenge or a really fabulous builder, aren't going to be satisfied with what this offers, I know I wasn't and it briefly cured my insomnia. Glazed over eyes, ready to sleep after 20 minutes of it each time. At least it was good for something ;)

First, I want to talk about the HUGE FLAW in this game so that if you buy this game, you will know about it now. In each level, you need to pick up 20 bottles that you recycle. This is how you get money for the subway. In the first chapter of this game (there are 3..very long though) you need to collect ALL 20 bottles before you close down the game again. You then need to put them into the recycling machine OR else you won't be able to find all 20 and will have to either start a new profile or ask for a refund. You WILL NOT be able to continue. The forum talks ALL about it so make sure you remember! I found finding all 20 at once in the 2 other levels wasn't an issue but it is in the first one. And that is why its 4 stars because although a great game, it was never tweaked and since this is an older game, why did it never have a patch? Lazy developers and now that this company doesn't focus on casual download games anymore, just mobile, there never will be a fix and that is not okay.
Alright onto the game. This is a pure adventure game, not timed, go at your own pace and meet lots of characters, pick up objects and do puzzles. You are trying to help your friend Quinn set up your friend's baby shower after some pooches wrecked the first set of decorations, cupcakes and room for it. There is A LOT of things to do in this game which makes it fun. Each level you can do in any order you want as long as all the tasks get done so in that sense the game is NOT linear but since each level is a new area of the town, it makes it somewhat easier to stroll around in and figure out what you are doing. I would not consider this a hard game but it is a very involved game so you need to pay attention.
You have a map of the different streets and what you found there which is helpful if you need to go back later. You cannot use the map to jump as this is an old game. Some of the balloons you need to find each level are crammed into the sides of the screen so its rather hard to find them. Look for colors! Green were always in the trees, pink&yellow&purple were always in windows or in these weirdly located upper spots. I think this game had some sort of graphics issue that wasn't resolved prior to release as everyone in the forums complains about the problems.
Instead of finding everything and then having the game just end, you do more puzzles until you have a satisfying conclusion. There is also an activity mode where you can do all the mini games again and try to get expert times. There are some mini games that you are going to have to do A LOT. One of them is moving boxes so you can get to other boxes under it. I thankfully like that game but if you don't, well there is like 9 rounds of it when in the baby store. You can skip BUT it takes awhile for that thing to load. In the first game of this series, there was no skip button and I hated it because some levels I just wanted to bypass so I am sooo thankful the option was in this one. However if the game has stages, it only skips 1 of them sooo how helpful that is, is up to you.
Although this game does have major malfunctions in some parts, I really do recommend it because of the fun factor. This would be a great game to play if you wanted to learn how to play a pure adventure game without all the craziness of an actual large file game. This is more than adventure lite but it will teach you what you need to know in order to play a larger one later. I wish these developers would have made more of these adventure type games with Flo. I know they made Diner Dashes & Hotel dashes, wedding themes etc but I happen to really really like these adventure ones. They are so unique. Cartoon like graphics but still sharp and with so much to do even though they are only about 3 levels each, they take a long time to complete. Well worth the money spent in my opinion. And it has voiceovers! And back when this game was made...well lets just say...it was very rare!
Cheers to a game that made me smile while playing it. I recommend but collect all the bottles in level 1 first before exiting out of the game or else you'll be stuck there indefinitely and have to restart like I did. Good thing I liked the game enough to restart as I usually get fed up and just get rid of it. Kudos!
I recommend this game!
