The game itself is OK and it is fun to play but the female voice actors are some of the worst I have ever heard. They are obviously reading from the script and there is almost no emotion in their voices. They sound like high-school drama students at the first rehearsal, I recommend the game but hate the audio.
I recommend this game!

The idea of having the main story center around Pearl Harbor in the 1940s sounded like fun. The game was not particularly challenging and the puzzles were easy to solve. The sound and graphics were very good but, overall, I found the game somewhat lacking and rather short. There could have been a lot of action added to the story but if felt somewhat rushed. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it for a beginning gamer, but it is too easy for someone experienced.
I recommend this game!

The basic idea is interesting but I found the game to be less than fun. Yes, I know it is a mystery game with a gloomy atmosphere but most of the HOGs are so dark that I could not find some of the objects even with my monitor set on bright. Most irritating, and what made me stop playing was the "inventory" bar. It kept popping up and down like a jack-in-the box. There when I didn't want it and not there when I did. This is one game I won't be buying.
I don't recommend this game.

The idea is interesting but the visuals are so dark that I ended up using hints in every hidden object area. Even with my monitor cranked as bright as it would go I couldn't see a lot of the items. I play a game for fun, not to strain my eyes. I didn't get that far into the game since I had to wait and use the hint button so often.
I don't recommend this game.

The idea is a continuation of the first game: an evil mirror that can kidnap and transport you into other worlds. I am not a fan of the "find a fragment and then use it" type games and that is basically all it is. I played almost all the way through the demo hoping it would improve, but no go. The graphics are fine but I turned the sound off because it was annoying. I really wanted to like the game since I enjoyed the first one but I won't be buying it.
I don't recommend this game.

The "King" is a floating ball with a long tongue. There are targets (tanks, helicopters, etc.) on the ground. You are given three rocks at the beginning of each level. The king snags a rock with his tongue and swings it back and forth. The object is to release the rock at the proper place in the swing to hit the target. If you get several targets with one rock you are awarded more rocks to throw. After the third level it becomes a little harder to hit them all but not particularly challenging. This would be a fun game for most kids or if you just want to fool around with an arcade type game you might enjoy it. I quit before completing the trial game because I got bored.
I recommend this game!

I didn't think any game could be less fun than "The 13th Skull" but this one has done it. I dislike the new HOGs with their splitting up the list between several locations, the mini-games are only so-so and not that challenging, and the overall game is only about 3 hours long. The graphics are OK and the use of human actors for the cut scenes is tolerable, but the overall game left me cold.
I don't recommend this game.

The game is fun and, while not terribly challenging, is still fun. The Hidden objects are fairly easy to find and, if you get stuck, you can use a hint or play an alternative game to find pieces. The mini-games are just challenging enough to be fun but not impossible. The game could be slightly longer but, all in all, it was worth the price. Be sure to play the last chapter after the main game it wraps things up nicely.
I recommend this game!

This is, like most HOGs, a game where you must search for items to complete your quest. The story is good, the graphics are crisp and sharp and you have help from the hints if you need it. I have only two complaints: First, in most HOGs if you see an item you can pick it up and take it with you for later use, in this one you have to wait until the game allows you to go back and pick it up. Second, and to me most frustrating, is the fact that you are continually running from one end of the game area to the other. Items that you need for one part of the game require you to travel through up to a dozen sections to another part of the game to get them and then go back. What puzzles there are are just hard enough to be interesting but not impossible. All in all it is a good game but very time consuming.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game more than several others I have played. The hidden objects were fairly easy to find with just enough effort to make it fun. The mini-games were about mid-level, solvable but not too easy or too hard. I liked the fact that there are two different endings, depending on what you do in the last act. A nice game to add to any collection.
I recommend this game!
