Boulder Dash-Pirate’s Quest
Help Crystal and Rockford recover their great, great, great grandfather’s pirate treasure in this exciting Puzzle game!
This is an arcade puzzle game that exercises both gray matter and fingers. You navigate through a maze avoiding obstacles and collecting gems. Cartoon graphics are nicely done, and story progresses using speech bubbles. Each of the 100 levels becomes progressively more difficult. A delight to visit the boulderdash days of old with updated gameplay.
Graphics and music both give an otherworldly atmosphere to the game. Storyline is excellent and flows logically throughout, with closure at the end. There are three children to rescue from an evil warlock. Each has a separate area to explore, so there isn't an excessive amount of backtracking to acquire/use inventory items. Hidden object scenes are interspersed throughout the game, and objects are clearly visible although not always easy to find. Puzzles are moderately difficult with a wide variety of challenges. Total game time was around four hours.
Jodi is a travel photographer sent to exotic places to get those cover shots. She visits Paraguay, Egypt, Greece, India, China, and Easter Island. The objects are presented in either the traditional list format, or images to photograph. The mini-games offer a variety of mid-level challenges interspersed throughout the chapters. Storyline is interesting, but ending is predictable.
This is an arcade maze puzzler, with a variety of obstacles and enemies to overcome. You pick up coins during your quest to save all the sheep. The coins are then used to rebuild their farm. It is one of those games that you want to play just one more level, and then one more.... Beware, you may think only minutes have gone by until you look at the clock.
Outstanding graphics and relaxing music make this solitaire game a delight to play. The storyline is engaging, with the hidden objects to find part of the story. Changing items add another dimension to the hidden object scenes. There is a store where you can purchase items to help you on your quest. A different character joins you in each world to also aid your journey. Trophies are relatively easy to earn. Some of the later levels are frustrating, since a useful card does not appear until nearly the end of the deck. This requires multiple times to avoid the evil wizard, let alone earn that elusive perfect.
Beautiful graphics, pleasant music, and engaging storyline make this a delightful solitaire game to relax for a few minutes or a few hours. There is a magic shop to buy items to help you on your quest to find all the magic cards. Collecting all the cards is quite a challenge, since you are unable to redo specific hands to get those elusive perfects.
Running Sheep: Tiny Worlds is an engrossing brainteaser with simple controls, vivid graphics, and 250 levels. It’s wonderful entertainment for the whole family!
This had the potential to be a really great game. The levels vary from easy to difficult, but not progressive. The music is repetitive, but the graphics are decent for this style game. It is somewhat challenging to earn all Purple Ribbons on all 250 levels. Coins are randomly placed, so that gives a slightly different challenge when replaying the level to earn the top ribbon. The ending scene is adorable and made me smile.
Outstanding game. Graphics are beautiful. Voices are pleasant. Puzzles are challenging, but enjoyable. Good mix of adventure and hidden object scenes. Interesting storyline that keeps you playing to save all the children. Good closure.
Relaxing solitaire game with only a few hands needing the use of powerups. There are 50 cases to solve and multiple locations per case, thus providing hours of gameplay. Newspaper articles of these "off the wall" cases are interesting to read. Logic is used to eliminate the suspects and issue an arrest warrant. Earning all the awards is a daunting task, especially the ones requiring speed.
