This is a really fun and relaxing game. My favorite thing is that there was such a huge variety of puzzles. I've never seen so many different types in one game. The VOs are good and graphics are, too. Story line is a bit fantastical, but if I want reality I'll read the newspaper. I thought that sometimes the instructions for some of the puzzles weren't real clear, but I've played these types of games long enough to figure out what to do. I found myself really looking forward to each puzzle, just to see what kind it was. I like the HO scenes, too - especially the interactive ones. When you want to just kick back and have fun, this game would be a good choice.

I finished the trial version and will be purchasing the game. I agree with all the good stuff others have written here. But, I also agree with feanas in that if you play in widowed mode, it is a very small window. The dialogue and instructions are virtually impossible to read. Not only is the font small; but it's white, which doesn't help with the readability at all. I also prefer to play in windowed mode, but can't do it with this game - and I have really good eyes.

This is a devilish good game that will drive you crazy - in a good way. I don't know how many chapters there are, but I'm on chapter 4. I've had to play some parts of each chapter a few times because the timed ones are often not easy. Countless times I have been within one move of winning one of the games in some of the levels. You have to be persistent and evaluate what you need to do to beat the clock. I don't like timed games, but I understand why some of these are timed. Some parts of the game you are limited to a certain number of moves rather than being timed. I like the game and the storyline. I get frustrated and quit for a while. Then I go back and give it another try - and I win and go on to the next game/chapter. The only thing I would really like to see changed is that some of the timed parts would give you just a little bit more TIME - just 10 seconds would make a huge difference once in a while. I've cursed more than once trying to get to the next level, but I keep coming back and trying again. Makes it really sweet when you do win and move to the next level within a chapter. If you are stubborn and determined, like I can be, I think you will enjoy this game as much I do. I gave it four stars because the time factor really is a bit too short for some of the games. I want to have fun and not grind my teeth down to the gums.

This is a big improvement over the other mosaic games of this type and I'm very happy about it. None of the stars are based on a timer. I never could finish most of them within the time limit and trying to rush through each one ruined the fun of the game for me, so I always had to settle for two stars. I do games like this for total relaxation and pure enjoyment, both of which a timer ruins. If you like this type of mosaic game, you can't go wrong with purchasing it. Five stars all the way.

I played the demo and knew I definitely wanted to get this game. I have finished part one and am looking forward to staring part two. It's not the most difficult game I've played, so far; but after a stressful day at work, sometimes I want a "medium" kind of challenge where I can just kick back and enjoy myself without too much brain-strain. Some of the puzzles are unique and I'm a total sucker for anything HO. Also, I don't usually fret about how realistic some of these games are - I do the whole game thing to relax and have fun. Color outside the lines; think outside the box - just have fun and keep the brain cells active. This is a great SE game, I think. It has many of the same features you find in CEs.

Loved this game. No complaints from me. I've played hundreds and hundreds of HO games and there is one thing about this one that I especially noticed. ALL of the VOs are superior - spot on. I don't think I've ever played a game where I could have said that. Voices perfectly matched with each character.
Imagine a sunny day at a cozy Parisian cafe. People are walking around, drinking coffee and laughing. Suddenly a bright flash wipes out all life on Earth!

I totally agree with Granny Gruff. The lack of instructions is startling and disappointing. You really don't know what to do next or why you are doing it. I enjoy the HO scenes. But, overall, I am just clicking on things trying to figure out what each one does. It's a very confusing game - sort of like being blindfolded and playing pin the tail on the donkey. I am befuddled as to why someone would make a game and then just throw it out there, leaving a player in a state of "What do I do next and why do I do it?" I played the demo and then waited to see if anyone would review it. I definitely hesitate to pay full price for it, so I may wait to use a coupon, just because I like the HO scenes (although they are a bit repetitive) and the graphics are very nice. If you don't mind just poking around and experimenting to see what happens, you may enjoy this adventure; but be prepared to be frustrated by the lack of instructions or hints. I will recommend the game, but only when using a coupon for a free game. Granny Gruff's review is a perfect description of the game in more detail than I am writing since there is no reason for me to repeat it verbatim.

Just completed demo and have ordered full version. Visually stunning! Music is sort of new age and appropriate for game. I enjoyed it. The VOs are good except for the niece, Larisa. Coins to find and morphing objects. I love that some of the items in the HO scenes morph. You must select them as they morph into the item on the list. Map is good and interactive. I'm looking forward to finishing this game after I complete the one I'm currently playing.
This is a lovely game - terrific graphics, fun storyline, all the good things everyone has already said. I don't often submit a review, but this one is so short that I felt like I wanted to add my voice to the others who have also mentioned that fact. I played the game in one evening after I got home from work and before I went to bed. After you complete the game, you can play solitaire all you want to, but the hands no longer tie into the game. I used a coupon to get this game and that was about all it was worth to me just because it's such a short game. Had I paid the full member price, I wouldn't have been very happy.
