I downloaded the trial version and purchased the game at the end of the trial, so I can't complain too much about it. The graphics are terrific. I like everything about how the game is set up, but it has some of the worst voice overs ever. They are so phony sounding for the most part. One or two of the characters sound fine, but the bad ones make me want to turn the sound off. It sounds like they use just a few people to voice multiple characters. The voices are familiar from other games. Most things are made to sound soooooo dramatic instead of realistic in tone. But I decided not to let that one glaring irritation deter me from an otherwise good game that I enjoy playing. I wasn't going to write a review on this game, but when another reviewer mentioned the voice overs, I decided to support that observation.
I have all of the Hiddenverse games except for Tale of Arianda, so when I saw this newest addition, I immediately downloaded the demo. I played a few levels and purchased it. I was very curious about what new features they might add to make it different from previous versions. They did indeed add new features, which pennmom has described in detail, so I won't repeat those. I've been playing mostly TM games for the past several weeks, so Hiddenverse is a nice way to take a break from the TM genre for a little bit here and there. Hiddenverse games are always great quality and entertaining. This new one is no exception. If you have enjoyed them in the past, you will enjoy Rise of Ariadna, too.
Beginning the week leading up to Halloween, I hoped every day that I would see a new Cursed House. I have Cursed House 3,4,5 and knew I would add 6 whenever it appeared. I was delighted to see it and downloaded the trial version a few minutes after it became available. After playing it for a few minutes, I purchased it. There really was never any doubt that I would get it. This is one of my very favorite game series, hands down. I agree with another comment here that it never gets old - it's a unique match 3 and the hidden object, find-the-difference and solitaire games that occasionally pop up are fun, too. It's a nice variety. As has been said here and in other Cursed House reviews - remember that it's all about the coins. No matter what else is going on in the game, target the coins and you will win the level. This game is a total delight.
There are others who do a superb job of going into great detail about the game, so I will leave that to them. I really do recommend giving this game a try. There's a lot going on; but over a period of time, if you hang in there I think you'll be hooked on this game series, too. Don't get discouraged quickly.
Like a great number of you, I've played many hundreds of games - of all types; but I've never purchased a TM game before. I've been seeing the different series and have watched the ratings and reviews over the years. I finally decided to dip my toe into the TM genre and I ended up getting this game. I have a list of others I want to eventually try. This is a really cute and fun game. I'm so glad I selected it as my first TM game. Graphics are great and the story line is fun and engaging. The tutorial and helpful hints at the beginning of each level were helpful. My only "thumbs down" is that this developer, like most others, sometimes takes the text off the screen way too quickly. The gamer should always be the one to decide when he/she has had enough time to read everything, not the developer. Overall, I relied heavily on the star ratings and reviews of other players when deciding which TM to get. I only play untimed games. I won't even try the trial version if there is no untimed option available. I play games to relax and have fun; not to get tense and wound up by trying to beat the timer. I want to take in all the details of a game while I'm playing. I have no interest in TM games where you own a flower shop or pizza parlor or any game with the word frenzy in the title. This is the type of TM game that appeals to me the most. This game has been a huge amount of fun so I wanted to make sure it got another well-deserved 5 star review.

Others have gone into great detail about the new game features, so I won't repeat those. But, I will say that I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw the new additions. I have three of the Hiddenverse games so when I tried this one out, I thought "What can they do to make this one different?" because I don't like a lot of repetitive stuff game-to-game in a series. The devs really did "upgrade" this new one with fun and interesting features. I am really enjoying it.
I recommend this game!

I disagree that this game is designed for children, just because of the cartoonish design/graphics. I am on level 108 and I have no idea how many more levels there are. I agree with another review here that I find it difficult to earn 3 stars. I am settling for 2 in this game some of the time, especially if I am low on coins to buy power ups on the left side of the game screen. I enjoy the big bold colors and the fun characters. It's a nice change from some of the dark story lines in many of the HO games that are offered. Sometimes I want to just relax and have fun without burning a lot of brain cells. On some levels, there are 3 requirements that have to be met to advance to the next level. Some of those do not require you to take every card in order to advance. I have found this to be a really fun and relaxing game overall.

I love this type of game that lets me decorate and/or build by playing games and earning money. The variety of games available here is off the chart. But, I am mystified about things like pictures, items for the fireplace mantle, etc. They are pictured in the little video, but I am finding none of them anywhere in the game. The furnishings I am seeing are the basic lights, sofa, chairs, a couple of different tables. I think there are seven categories across the top. I've decorated the room in totally different ways two times and I am still not seeing the "accessory" pieces as pictured. It would be nice to have a choice of pictures, statues, plants, etc. Otherwise, I enjoy playing the game.

This is better than some CEs I have played. This is a terrific game for a relaxed, fun weekend pastime. I liked the storyline and especially the two lead characters. VOs are excellent. I usually don't like games where you have to make concoctions or spells from various ingredients, but I didn't mind that in this game at all. There were usually about 4 ingredients and they weren't maddeningly difficult to find and you don't have to have all of the ingredients before you start to mix them. The map is very good, as is the hint feature. I used a game credit for this one, but I think it is well worth the regular price if you want a fun game to kick back, chill out and enjoy playing just for the fun of it. Do not let the lack of "fluid movement" of some of the characters on occasion spoil a delightful game. There are factors far more important than that which make this game a winner in my book.

This is a devilishly good & fun game. Some of the levels are really difficult and you have to plan your moves since you have a limited number. It's not a Haunted House 5, but it's a winner in my opinion. The graphics are fun and colorful which I always like. You buy buildings with stars that you earn. I don't like time management games, but I enjoy "building" things - cities, castles, etc. This has that feature, too. Give the demo a try. I just started playing boards where the pieces pass through portals - very different and interesting. I've been just one or two moves short of completing a level many times, but I learn something with each re-try and finally move on to the next. I'm currently on level 28 and not ready to stop even though I need to get to bed. I keep thinking "Just one more try" especially when I'm just one move shy of winning the level.

When I saw the title of the game, I thought there would probably be some objections; but I enjoyed it and will purchase it. I have other games from BF in this vein. There is an abundance of games dealing with voodoo, black magic, the gods of Egypt, etc. So, it's kind of nice to have a representation from the "flip side" of that type of game. I've seen some games here that I thought were too violent, so I just bypass them and do not purchase. I appreciate the variety of the games at BF. I didn't find any difficulty with the graphics - I play in windowed mode. I like some of the features here that you don't find in a lot of other M3 games - mainly being able to click on an item to make it whatever you want it to be so you can more easily make a match. This is the kind of game that I enjoy while unwinding from a day at work.
