This is a fun game, and I went ahead and bought it because I've enjoyed all the games in this series. However, this is basically a new set of Royal Envoy 2 levels, with not much new stuff introduced. if you're looking for something new and different, this is not it, but if you just enjoy the RE games and want some new levels, it's definitely enjoyable.
I recommend this game!

Slow loading. How to play is not immediately obvious, and the instructions are not 100% clear, plus the level goals aren't revealed until after you start, so it's hard to plan a strategy and I had to restart levels a bunch of times. It took me about 30 levels before I realized that getting 3 stars is not just dependent on how quickly you finish, like most TM games, but also for things like collecting sheep. After a while I noticed a lot of the level graphics are blatantly lifted from the Island Tribe games--not necessarily a downgrade, just a funny thing I noticed. Also, while this doesn't have anything to do with the game play, but I found the illustrations of the extremely busty woman and super-muscled guys annoying--this kind of game doesn't need to be sexed up. Fun game, but I'd recommend some of the other TM series games before this one.

The boards on this were really similar--in some cases, I think identical--to Cubis Gold 2 from a few years ago. I found the response to the controls a little slow, and was disappointed that it only has one game mode. It's cute, but I would recommend CG2 over this game.

There are a few new things thrown in, but most of the artwork and scenes are the same as Royal Envoy 2. I do find the level of challenge to be a bit less than the previous games--on the first play-through, I've gotten 3 stars on the first try on almost all of the levels, where the others made me try a lot of them several times before getting there. If you're expecting something different from the previous games, you might be disappointed, but I think this is still a fun game.
I recommend this game!

This is a pretty fun jar-of-marbles type game, but the problem is you have to either pay for upgrades, or play a whole bunch of extra "zen" levels to earn enough coins to get to the next chapter. Now, the playing extra levels for coins wouldn't be too bad, except that you only earn one coin per zen level, to a maximum of 10 per day, and need 50 for the first level up, 100 for the next...you begin to see the problem. That's way too much work for a free game.
I don't recommend this game.

At first the game was ridiculously challenging, with it nearly impossible to get gold on even the lowest levels, but the developers have now added a relaxed mode that makes the game much more enjoyable. It's not terribly different from the My Kingdom for the Princess or Island Tribe series, you gather materials to build roads, buildings, etc. You get diamonds for finishing levels that you can use to buy power-ups and upgrades. There are still dialogue pop-ups that take up too much of the screen and you can't get rid of, but otherwise this is an enjoyable TM game.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game for my kids to play, as the challenge level is not too high, but found that I also really enjoy playing it. You do hidden-object levels to earn coins and shells to buy fish and upgrades for your aquarium. You also earn stars to level up by buying upgrades and by feeding the fish and cleaning the tank when it gets dirty. Fun and relaxing.
I recommend this game!

You clear boards in order to make your way through the house, several for each room. The variety is great--you're putting out fires, destroying creatures, unlocking locks, blocking demons, etc., a different method for each room. Some of the sound effects bothered me a little bit--some of the demons look like bugs and make a yucky squishing sound when they move, but you can just turn it down. It quickly got a little too challenging for me in timed mode, but you can switch to relax without having to restart the game, which is very appreciated.
I recommend this game!

I would have given this 4 stars, but for the length of the game. I like the style of play, with gathering pieces of needed items, rather than just random items from a junkpile. But I finished the game, and said, "That's it?" It's very short, so I would only recommend buying it as a daily deal or with a discount coupon.
I don't recommend this game.

Level of Challenge
5/ 5
You build houses and other structures, collect resources, and meet challenges. You sometimes have to collect money to pay off a pirate, or food for the Glutton, build bridges, or a rum factory, or run a snowball tournament... I really like the variety of challenges--and after you finish all the levels, you have a large number of bonus levels to do in this collector's edition. My only complaint is you have to be sure to pick up the money/food/wood yourself or it disappears, but that actually adds to the level of challenge a bit. I think this is a top-notch game.
