I remember the 1st and it wasn't special either, but I did purchase. Graphics are tired, story not exciting, challenge is ok on puzzle and HOs were semi-tough. I may give this one another try when the SE comes out, but it didn't hold my interest to the point of "I can't wait to get back to the story to find out how it ends"; I definitely can wait. SE may be good for a boring rain day....we'll see later. I am recommending to new players but not those who have been spoiled by the well written, exciting games that have come out.

I have purchased all the Grim Facade games, but I found this one a real disappointment. Seen this storyline many times, visual and sound were not the best, challenge was so-so, and the fun factor failed to meet Grim Facade level. I may give it a chance again when the SE comes out but won't waste my money on a CE of this quality. Sorry! Only recommending this to those that have not played the others in the series as they may find this one fine.

First off, I did purchase as I had a game credit that needed used on that day or I'd loose it. So, that said, this isn't the worst Match 3, but definitely not the best. It is fairly easy, not aware of a time limit as I never went over. Graphics were child-like, wish you could turn off speech as it was annoying and not needed. Good for just taking up time and not much else. A young person may enjoy but, for adults, not much there for us. I'll recommend, but only for cases like mine or for a child just learning to play Match 3 games.

This is a beautifully made game and love the story, graphics and sound. What I didn't like was there were too many puzzles, even the majority of HOs were a puzzle, and I dislike puzzles. If this had more HOs, I would have loved it but even though I love the story and want to see how it ends, I'm going to sit on the fence and decide later.

Found this game to be slow in response and to be more like games developed a long time ago. Biggest complaint...I bought the wood pkg and the wood box popped up and wouldn't go away. The next play screen came up, but with the wood box still up, you couldn't see the game screen. There was no way to close, no X in corner and clicking outside the box still would not close. Do not waste your time!

I've purchased every game in the series and none have disappointed and this one is excellent. Puzzle Games may be slightly simple, but I don't care for the puzzles so this is a good thing for me. HOs were nothing special as they do not have a variety as other games coming out have and the reason I didn't give this one a 5 star rating. I love this one so much that I'm downloading my purchase as I speak. May have been best to wait for SE version, but I'm too impatient on this one and want to get back to it right now. WTG
I recommend this game!

Awesome! This sequel does not disappoint and could be even better than the last adventure. Scenes are beautifully done, sound quality is excellent and puts you in the scene, challenge level is perfect, and so love the storyline. I was so disappointed when the demo ended, and even though I would love to continue, the guide isn't really necessary so will wait for the SE. I would be surprised is everyone doesn't love this one....ENJOY!!

I liked the 1st but this sequel is a huge disappointment. Story was boring, little to no fun factor, visually unimpressive, challenge level was not anything to brag about, and sound was ok. I had high hopes but exited before the demo was over. If you insist on having this in your collection, don't waste your money on the CE version and wait for a sale to get the SE version.

I so love the Dark Tales series and this one does not disappoint. Visual is beautiful, Sound is sharp and not annoying, Challenge Level is perfectly taxing, and Story Line is exciting. If you are a fan of Edgar Allen Poe stories, you will love this one. I keep waiting for Vincent Price to appear. Definitely a CE level game as I feel you will be lost with a SE level version. I can't wait to get back to the adventure. I truly love this one and I seldom give 5 stars. A must have for your game collection.
This match 3 was a very feeble attempt to copy the successful 4 Elements series. I do not recommend unless you are absolutely bored to death. If you weren't lucky enough to have played 4 Elements, you may enjoy the different game play here. But my recommendation is to load 4 Elements and compare the two to see which is the greatest. Was really hoping this would be as good as I really like this format.
