Excuse me while I reminisce about the first "I Love" game from Tiny Little Lion...... I went to Big Fish to see what new game had been released. Hoping to find a new twist or just a reincarnation of an older game I enjoyed, I found I Love Finding Cats. Cats in different locations in every scene! How could I resist? I stayed up until I finished the game. The pull of looking for these cute cats while looking for hidden objects was irresistible. I played it a few times, and then my granddaughter found me playing. So her job was finding the cats while I found the butterflies and the hidden objects. Bonding over a computer game! How much more modern could grandparenting get?
While I love Hidden Object games, I have to admit I find the one with the dark, dreary scenes and the running around going back and forth to rooms and places I've already been to before tiring. I love the enjoyment of just finding the hidden objects. So when I found the first I Love Cats games, I was in love.
Not only were the objects fairly challenging at times, there were cats! And then there were dogs. And then pets. At the end of a long day when my brain was tired and just needed a respite from the problem-solving of the day, I could go and find cats or dogs or pets. Now I can find birds!
I can stimulate myself more looking for the elusive butterflies and if I don't find them, I can still move on to the next scene. How wonderful! I can go back and redo the scene if I want, and I'll have different hidden objects in different locations plus have the time to look around without being penalized. Or be penalized because I clicked on the wrong object.
The mini games are of the same caliber as the hidden object scenes.
Thank you Tiny Little Lion! You made my day!
I recommend this game!

This is very much like the games with puppies and cats. I enjoy the other similar games and play them over and over. It appears to be a copy of those successful games but without as many animals. I liked playing those so I enjoy this one too.
I encountered a glitch at the 23rd scene. I can't progress past it because you must finish each scene to unlock the next one. I found all the pets and all the items, but it says I only found 17 out of 18 items. No more items are listed. I tried playing the scene a few times but no luck.
I recommend this game!

I like the simple Hidden Object games. They are a nice way to relax. That being said, I thought I would try this game despite the negative reviews. Some of the members of the Big Fish community prefer involved Hidden Object games with intricate plots, beautiful graphics, and challenging side games. Not me, so I tried this game. I thought could this game really be that bad? Yes, it is. Not only is it extremely simple, it asks for items that aren't even in the line-up. I know what a strawberry looks like, and I know what the game thinks a strawberry looks like. There is no strawberry in sight on this scene of items. That's only one of the things that makes this game so undesirable. I can' bear to even list the other ones.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is like some of the older hidden object games. No running back and forth between scenes; objects not exactly hard to see but there's a magnifying glass; minigames between scenes. When I saw the scene with all the cats I really wanted to click on all of them! The mom and daughter talk a little too much but I click through most of it.
The only real complaint I have is the breathing of the mom and daughter. Whose arms move and down like that when they breathe? It's kind of distracting so I try to avoid looking at them as I search for the objects.
When reading the reviews of other players, it's great to see how others view the games. Even though I've been playing games on Big Fish for over 15 years, I still don't understand what HOPA means. I am assuming HOG is hidden object game.
I recommend this game!

What a pleasant surprise to find this game on Big Fish! Though I like Hidden Object games and mosaic games, at some point I need a little variety. There have been a few other games lately that fulfill my need for variety, and I really love playing them. This one looked interesting enough, so I quickly played through the free trial and couldn't buy it fast enough!
As others have explained how the game works, I won't do that here. It does seem a little simple at first, but those easy pictures help learn the basics of the game. They become more challenging as the numbers increase. Once the grid is 40 by 40, it is no longer an easy game.
Thank you to borf90 for listing other Link-a-Pix games. I'll try them.

Who knew anyone could improve on the I Love Finding Cats game? I loved playing that game for hours. Not only finding hidden objects but also the two cats per scene. My 5-year old granddaughters like to play computer games with me, but there are very few that we can play together. We found the other finding cats game, and divided it by them finding the cats and I find the hidden objects. Easier than me trying to describe each hidden object! Now they can look for all FIFTEEN cars per scene and the morphing butterflies! We are in heaven.
Next Finding More Dogs please!!
I recommend this game!

I started out on Big Fish years ago with the Hidden Object games. I loved them. Then the art became beautiful, and then we had to go back and forth to all the different spaces until I got dizzy. So I found the other types of games, and enjoyed those too. But I missed the hidden object ones. Now, here is a hidden object game that makes you search and gives you hints that help narrow your search but you still have to search. Cute little aliens and no beautiful scenes or games to fill in the spaces
Amazing! I love this!

A very strange thing happened when I went to download the demo. It said I already played it! How could that happen when it just came out today as tomorrow's release, and I only opened the Big Fish website?
Anyway, I have it in my list as a game to buy so I must have enjoyed it. I only keep the ones I enjoyed.
I recommend this game!

I haven't tried the other 2 releases of Paint by Number but I have (and like) Pixel Art. I also play Happy Color on my phone (for hours) and this game is very much like Happy Color.
Pixel Art's coloring in of squares is mind-numbing fun, but coloring actual pictures is more satisfying to me. So I'm going to have to look for the first and second games.
I totally agree with the previous comments about the cursor. I would get hand cramps if I had to manhandle my mouse for hours trying to color in the teeny spots. After 45 minutes of clicking on the same little spots, I found that if I waited until the color number floated above it, I wouldn't have to click over and over. I like Penmom's idea of making the cursor a paintbrush or marker or something that would be actually coloring.
Thinner outlines would make the pictures more pleasing to the eye.
The background in various shades of gray is functional, but hard to determine which places still have numbers when the color you're using is also gray. I would suggest making the marking on the color a print of some type rather than the same as the background.
I look forward to playing more of these games!
I recommend this game!

I really enjoy these griddler-types of games. This game is much like others that have been released on Big Fish. There are pictures that emerge as you find the right tiles. I didn't have to guess in any scene I played; all searches were logic-based. I can't tell you how irritating is to play one of these types of games and be stuck so that I have to use a clue. My goal with each scene is to accomplish it without using a clue or making a mistake.
The colors are bright. It's easy to see the numbers and the colors unlike some other games.
It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that other similar games have, but that doesn't diminish the fun in finding the correct tiles without using all the mistake stars.
I recommend this game!
