I'm not a big fan of timed games, and this one kept the tension so high that I really didn't enjoy playing it. It starts off fairly slowly, but as the game progresses you have more to do and the time you're given decreases, so it's very tense. You're supposed to find lots of hidden objects in various scenes from the Titanic. The hint system is good, and you can also get a little extra time by finding a few air tanks. Besides HO's you need to look for gems, which you can use for some extras. Since the gems didn't buy you that much, I stopped looking for them because there wasn't enough time. If you don't mind playing under pressure, this would be a good game. Because I don't like it, I don't recommend this game. Too bad they didn't include a choice about whether to play timed or untimed.
I don't recommend this game.

I loved this game. It is basically a HO game with many levels, and at each level there are a couple of jewel puzzles. You can play with regular time, or extended time as I chose. There is no untimed option. This game is complex enough to be very interesting. You have to find the hidden objects, but you're also looking for hidden jewels and coins in each scene. The coins will buy you extra hints, while the jewels will buy you upgrades. The best upgrade that I bought, even though it took several levels to save up enough jewels, was the flashing dots that show where the hidden jewels are in the scenes. Some are so well hidden that you can't find them any other way. Once you are able to find all the jewels, you can buy many other upgrades that make playing the game a little easier. Although I'm not a fan of timed games, most of the time I had plenty of time to finish each level. If you are really running out of time, you can skip the puzzles, although this means you lose all your hints and coins. This is the kind of game that you can come back to and play over and over again. It's fun and absorbing. Definitely recommended.
I recommend this game!

This is similar to the other Escape games in this series. Lots of HO scenes with mini-games in between. There are 25 levels, with up to five scenes at each level, so you definitely get your money's worth. The art work is good, with only an occasional item that is impossible to find. Most are in plain sight, but they are still hard to find for some reason! Since there are only 25 scenes, they are repeated several times, but you look for different items each time. You also need to look for a lock and key in each scene - if you get 50 all together you unlock the unlimited portion of the game. At the end you can go back to each scene and find every single item. I love this kind of game, and I definitely recommend it.

I've played all three games in the Escape series, and this one is visually the most dark and gray. It not only makes it hard to spot HOs, it's also kind of boring to see scene after scene that has the same kind of overall appearance. Other than that, this is the usual Escape game. You have to finish 25 levels to escape from the island. Besides 10 objects per scene, you should look for hidden locks and keys. If you find 50, at the end you have an option to play the unlimited version of the game. I recommend the game, but be aware of the visual limitations.

I loved this game! I'm a real HO fan, so this was perfect for me. You get to play 25 different levels, repeating all of the scenes several times, in order to finish the game. you can play an untimed relaxed version, or choose the timed version, depending on whether you like playing with pressure or not. In each scene there are two hidden anchors. If you find all 50 of them you can play the unlimited version of the game, finding every single object in each scene as well as a Mahjong game. I definitely recommend this game.

I really enjoyed playing this game. Parts of it were a little confusing (more about that below), but nevertheless it was very interesting. You are trying to find a professor who is lost in the Amazon, and also trying to save a special species of beetle. The HO scenes show things like the rain forest and ancient temples. To spice up the game a little you can look for 5 beetles in each HO scene in order to get extra hints. There are also objects that need two steps in order to find them, sometimes also having to go to another scene on the map and then back again. I thought the quality of the art work was OK. Some of the other reviewers mentioned that it was a little dark, and I agree in a few cases, but most were OK. The mini-games were mostly a challenge. Here's what I wound up doing: there is a hint button, and for each mini-game there are two or three hints and then a Solve button. So I would try it first, then use one hint and try again, use another hint, etc. It was about 50-50 between the ones I actually solved and the times I had to use the Solve button. One other thing about this game, it takes a while to get into it. Skipping from one scene to another seems random at first, and you're not sure what's going on. But as you progress through the game, things start to make sense. I really liked this game because it makes you think! Definitely recommended.
I recommend this game!

This isn't really a hidden object game. There are some HO scenes to solve, but the majority of the game asks you to solve problems by finding certain objects and then asks you to play minigames. There is a good hint system if you get stuck and don't know what to do next. In this game you are trying to solve an old mystery. A young woman who was ill died, and the man who loved her, who was trying to find a cure for her disease, mysteriously disappeared. You have to do some research in various locations in order to find out what really happened. This game had a good ending, meaning that it didn't abruptly end the way some SE games do. There is another chapter in the Collector's Edition, but you don't really need to get all the extras in order to enjoy this SE game. I enjoyed trying to win all the achievements in the game also. I definitely recommend this game.

I thought this was a very interesting and well-written game. You are trying to solve an old mystery about what happened to a beautiful violinist. She comes back as a ghost to help you at times. There are several chapters, and for each you are in a beautiful setting, and you must find helpful objects, solve hidden object scenes, play mini-games, and backtrack in order to use some of your found objects. Since this is the Collector's Edition, you are also trying to get various achievement awards. You should look at this list ahead of time so that you have some idea of activities you should do in order to win the various achievements. If you get stuck you can also look at the strategy guide that comes with the Collector's Edition game. I thought the art work and the sound were both beautifully done. The mini games ranged from very easy to medium-difficult. There is a skip button if needed for the games. I really liked this game and would definitely recommend it.

Big City Adventure: Paris was very similar to the other games in the series. It's made up of 60 scenes where you find hidden objects, and in between each one is a mini-game. Both parts of the game are pretty repetitious, seeing the same several scenes over and over again and playing the same several kinds of games over and over again. There are 12 achievements you can work for based on how you play the game. There are no hints for the mini-games, only a reset button on some and a skip button. There are only a few skip buttons to use, so you can't use them too often. Most of the hidden object scenes were fairly done, but some had objects that were pretty impossible to see. There are hint buttons for these situations, but again, not too many so you need to watch how often you use them. If you like games where all you do is look for hidden objects and try a few mini-games, then this game is for you. I do recommend it, but mostly because of the 12 achievements that were added. It gives the game a little extra, which I feel it really needed.

I really enjoyed this game. It's pretty much the standard set-up where you have to find objects, some hidden, and then figure out where to use them. You will find yourself running all over the place, back and forth. But part of the challenge is remembering where you saw certain things that might need one of the objects you've found. If you are having difficulty, there is a hint button that will show you where to go next. In the game you're trying to defeat a witch that has put spells on various people in a castle. In order to break the witch's spells, for each different person you have to find and give them a certain object. As you free each person you get an amulet, and at the end you use all of them to defeat the witch. I thought the game was very high quality. Great graphics, carefully but fairly hidden objects, and very logical steps to follow. I definitely recommend this game!
