Jane Angel has mysteriously vanished and it's up to her sister to untangle the sophisticated conspiracy and uncover the truth about the family's ancient past.
Sad to say, and this is based on the demo which very quickly grew boring, this sequel to Jane Angel is a confusing mess with little direction. I played on the expert level but found that the game forced a tutorial on me, which was annoying. Secondly, using the hint button really did not give an accurate hint. It only sent me in circles. i am not going to rehash the plot here since it has been given in an earlier review. This is more of an adventure game than HOG, but I would advise strongly that you try the demo before purchasing to avoid wasted time and money. It would probably be a good game for a beginner but not for a pro.
Your grandfather disappeared while searching for Inuits' legendary treasure. Travel to the Arctic to find your missing grandfather and solve the Inuit mystery.
Mystery Expedition: Prisoners of Ice caught my attention rather quickly. The storyline, which I am not going to rehash here because of the numerous reviews, is somewhat unique and refreshing. I only gave the game 3 stars, however, because of the fact that it had continuing issues where it was slow loading, misspelled words or inaccurate descriptions of some items. Admittedly, this uses European terms in some of the items, but it aggravates me when little details escape notice. That said, overall the game is a pretty good play, lots of fun, and colorful. I recommend trying the demo first though.
After purchasing Nevertales, I am convinced that some of these developers need to use this as a shining example of what a CE should be! It has it all--- graphics, sounds, storyline, extras, and is a true keeper. The storyline is not totally unique--- the heroine is a lawyer who finds a child on her doorstep. She pursues the mystery of returning the child while discovering many things. This is a wonderful story that ties in some well known fairytales in a stunningly executed game. Collect beautiful roses and hidden items throughout the game to earn bonus chapters in addition to the extra gameplay. For once I felt this was money well spent and this is going to be one of the few games I don't delete but keep on my desktop to keep playing--- it is a very long play! Looking forward to more games from this company.
I recommend this game!

Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'
You are an antiques expert placed in charge of a small town antique shop. Play colorful hidden object scenes and fun minigames to make your business a success!
I will try just about any game. I had tried the previous Antique Road Trip game and just did not like it. This one, which is free to play, was something that quickly bored me. The theme of upgrading a shop and using energy points to go hunt for HOGs is familiar. The artwork is very nice, but there is no skip option for the tutorial, it was hard to find the options button to cut off the loud, quirky, music, and there was too much repetition. Some folks are going to love this. It's a middle of the road stable game for people who like the building game/hog combo. It just was not for me.

Based on the demo, I started this game with high hopes. I was disappointed as it comes across as stiff and slow. The characters, which are computer generated against a drawn background and they don't seem very real. Also, there is a wait between everything, scenes, HOGS, etc that should not be there with today's technology. The game itself is not bad, but the technical end makes me not want to fool with it. The storyline, which is about saving a wrongly executed "witch's" child while dealing with various characters. I might buy this if it were on sale, but it's not likely. I just advise playing the demo before you buy.
The Mists of Ravenwood is proving to be the best of the Enigmatis series. I was captivated by this game from the moment I played it, and it was hard to quit and go to bed. In this incarnation, you are a female detective who ends up outside the gates of Ravenwood Park. A couple has been involved in a wreck and disappeared along with their daughter. Of course, you must investigate. Once inside the park, multi tasking keeps you busy. Collect butterflies and morphing items as you explore both the underground areas and the park itself. There are lots of surprises here, and plenty of help even on the expert level (if you need it). I have really been enjoying the mini games which are a mixture of HOG and FROG. The colorful artwork and clever way the game is put together is a plus. I was not totally thrilled with the voiceovers but then I never am. I highly recommend this game, especially if you own any of the others. I don't think you will be disappointed as this is re-playable, fun, and one of the best games I have seen in a long, long time.
Mystery Age: Liberation of Souls is all about fighting three evil entities and releasing souls. (Based on the demo) This is an old school game that is best suited for a beginner or someone who just wants a soothing, no challenge game to play. The artwork here is a blessing as it is hand drawn and colorful, but at times its a bit blurry and foggish. Judging from the setting, this game is either Japanese or Chinese in origin. It took a long time loading and moving between screens in the beginning. It does not offer any different play levels, although the very first does allow skipping of the tutorial and story parts. Later dialogue will only let you click through and does not have the skip. My main problem with this game is that it's just too easy and it's one of those that leads you around by the nose and takes away the fun of it. The black box tips practically tell you everything, while the so-called hints basically give you nothing. The HOG scenes are there, but are a varied mixture of find the hidden item and find the hidden item/use it to complete another . Overall, I liked this game, its a good effort behind the times and just too easy for an intermediate or advanced player. My advice is to try the demo before you waste money on this outright.
Dance of Death intrigued me when playing the demo so I used a free game coupon to purchase it. I really like the storyline-- somewhat familiar, you are of course, a detective out to find the Italian son of parents who were murdered and has been kidnapped. The artwork is appropriately gloomy and spooky and I really loved the mini-games. The only complaints I would have is that the game is a bit short and it leads you around by the nose even in advanced mode. It would have been better had it been harder, but since I have not seen anything else by this developer, it is good for a first effort. Someone who is not an advanced player will love this. Overall, it is not a bad game to own, has some replay value to it and is fun.
For me to give a game five stars is a true rarity. This is one of those occasions. I loved everything about this game, from the storyline of a Baroness who has a secret life as a pirate queen to the mini games that were actually fun! I played this on the insane level and only needed to refer to the guide a couple of times. I found the mini games refreshing and fun and the artwork very nice. I did turn the sound down low, but it was not distracting. The bonus game is also really good and its worth the sale price to purchase this CE!!!! Well done to the creators!!!!
I really liked the demo of Fearful Tales: Hansel and Gretel. In this incarnation of the fairytale, you are cast as their mother. The children have been kidnapped and evil gingerbread men are running amok. It was great to finally have a classic game that did not use real people or computer animation, unreal looking characters in it. Instead of morphing items, you search for cupcakes in each scene. The artwork is wonderful, but it is darker and would have been better had their been more color to it. The only problem I could find (and I played this on insane level) is that the cursor is touchy when using tools. You must put the item you're using directly on the item until you see the cogwheels, otherwise, the game will make you think you are making an error when you aren't. I will probably wait for the SE to come out as I don't find this game exciting enough to pay for a CE version.
