I loved this game. Not only was it fun but it is like getting two games for the price of one because the bonus chapter was very long. Hints help you outside of the hidden object games and the map makes it very easy to travel from place to place! Speaking of hidden objects, you have to go all over the place looking for items that you must have to finish a hidden object scene. Very clever, that.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game so much. I enjoyed every minute of it and who wouldn't? The rich colors, brilliant scenes, haunting music, and bittersweet story meshed together to create a classic fairy tale which will delight many and leave a lasting impression. I think I'll let this one rest for a time and then go back and play it again!

I just finished this game and enjoyed it very much. The storyline was scary and kept me on the edge of my seat. Definitely not a game for young children and some adults. I found the hidden objects with just enough difficulty to make it fun.
The map is very handy and the hint button is useful outside of the HOS. I only skipped one or two puzzles because they were the kind that when you moved something, four other things moved too and I have a short fuse with these kind of mini-games.
The bonus game was not short so you felt like you were getting your money's worth. Also, I am proud to report that I found all 34 of the beyond items, a first for me.
I recommend this game!

I foolishly purchased the game after the demo because I told myself I could play it well even if it was timed. Well, I messed up and wasted my money anyway. Thank you, game developers, for taking peoples' money and not offering a choice for timer/no timer.
I don't recommend this game.

There were too many mini-games with strange symbols and some that were too hard, even with the walkthrough. A lot of the scenes from the first Nightmare Adventure were used again including the odious child with her whining and demands. I had to take the headphones off to get away from her voice. The best part of the game was when it ended and it looks like there will be a third game to continue this story. Good thing I used a bonus free game code and didn't waste my money.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm almost done now and it has been a pleasure to play this game. The mini-games are the kind I like, not the usual routine stuff. The hint button tells you where to go so you can figure things out on your own. Music is okay, not annoying. I nearly always turn the sound down at the beginning of each game and that is a nice feature if you are wearing headphones like yours truly here. Best of all: there are no odious hidden object games to slow you down, just plain fun and adventure. I wish there were more games like this. You get to play, play, play, and not be slowed down to find inane things. I recommend this game to like minded-people.
I recommend this game!

I can't say when the last time was when I enjoyed a game so much. This was almost like a Collector's Edition but for the Strategy Guide. It even had a bonus chapter which ran nearly an hour long. The puzzles were fun and if you didn't want to do the hidden object games you were offered an alternate game which, when played, moved things along quite a bit.
The hint button was not just for hints but gave clues on where to go next and what to do but not too much, just enough.
You even got a cute little helper to reach places you couldn't fit or reach!
The storyline was plausible (for occult lovers) and had a nice ending. I wish there were more games like this. I had a lot of fun and was sad when it ended but was a good long length so I can't complain.
And to think I used a free game token. How about that?
I recommend this game!

I did not want this game to end! It was terrific and fun to play. Graphics, music, hints, all top notch. If I were to have any complaints it would have to be the map. I wished I could just point on locations and travel there immediately.
Another positive thing: No hidden object games. Just pure adventure.
I would classify this game a winner and worth every penny.
I recommend this game!

Lately I've been taking a chance by reading the reviews and then buying the game outright. So far, this has turned out to be a good thing since I hate to play the demo and THEN wait until the rest of it downloads after purchase.
What I liked about this game was the alternate choice for the HOS. You actually get to play a domino based game instead of being bored to death with finding hidden objects. I had such a fine time with the dominos that I actually cheered when yet another HOS popped up.
Other good points are:
1. More than one game mode to choose.
2. Yes! There is a skip button for puzzles. I only used skip a few times as most of them were solvable. The puzzles I hate are:
Clicking until all of the lights are on. (You could sit there forever.
Clicking on just the right amount of boxes. There are little numbers at the top and on the sides and you are supposed to figure out just where to click and start the count. I need to learn more about how to do this one.
Making everything in a line or column add up to a certain number. I have no patience for this.
3. Hints recharge quickly and tell you what to do next and even what to use. It's almost like having a built-in strategy guide. #Who needs Collector's Editions?)
4. The game was pleasantly long and even had a bonus section! After the game was over and I went to the main menu, I clicked on what appeared to be more game play and it was! It tells about what occurred before the beginning of the main game and how life in Eden went downhill.
I used one of my free bonus game credits on this and boy, oh boy, I really got my money's worth.
I highly recommend this game!

Just not my type of game. Tiny items to find and no help from anywhere on what to do next.
The theme is interesting. Too bad it was poorly presented.
My recommendation to developers: Read these reviews and reinvent the game. You might be surprised at the results.
I don't recommend this game.
