Just played the demo and it started out with an all-animated scene in an antique shop. Animated would be disappointing for a haunted house story. But then it changed to realistic when Mark and Martha entered the dilapidated old house they plan to flip. Good luck with that idea, I say!
The demo was busy with tasks, encountering keyless locks, looking for missing clock hands, reading old news material, etc. But it all moved along at a good pace. Inventory filled up quickly and the items were used soon enough.
The graphics were good, felt not as clean & sharp as normally seen from Eipix. The human characters were rendered pretty well, but the permanent resident "monster" seemed cartoonish to me. Its few very short appearances were always shadowed. Maybe in the main game, he will actually be scary. The voices were excellent, IMO, very natural and expressive. The monster only grunted!
The puzzles were quite unique to me, I loved the moving maze. The HOPs were challenging. The magazine HOP was difficult due to very small items and quite clever as well. The map was plain and simple but got me quickly to my next room, the hint button serves the same purpose. A good, easy-to-understand journal, everything orderly for easy referral.
There are little tabs by the hint button to keep track of your collectibles which are 34 moths, 16 disguised morphing objects, 16 cassette tapes. Not sure if there are more. I was more interested in the actual game. But the few that I did find were well hidden.
I loved the storyline, I've always been intrigued by haunted houses. But you won't catch me going into one for a close up look! This particular house had a very creepy atmosphere and there were a few unnerving events faced by our house flippers. Why the locked doors, who or what is in the walls, why have so many people in or near the house, in the past, disappeared? What happened to the Paranormal Investigators in the beginning of the story? You will see a clue to that in the demo. What is the background on the the original owners, Mr and Mrs Grave? What dark, dangerous secrets will surface? If only houses could talk!
I do hope this doesn't turn out to be a lame story with a goofy ending, like in so many other games that arrive in abundance sometimes. But because of the game theme, I will purchase it. The demo was entertaining and gave me no reason to think it will be a disappointment. Anxious to find out what happened in this dreary, frightening house so many years ago.
God Bless....
I recommend this game!

It has been a couple of years since our last one made it's appearance. I am always drawn to historical games and this is a very good one, IMO. Being a history buff, it is a refreshing change of pace from our usual fare.
In this new installation Queen Marie is accused of the assassination of King Henri IV. We take up the challenge of finding the real culprit, so we set out on the task of exposing the truth, and saving the Queen. The game is based on true events for the most part and is quite interesting. This time in history was very volatile, filled with political corruption and betrayals, greed, religious upheaval.
The characters are interesting and their realistic appearance put a special touch to the beautiful graphics. The scenes are nice and clear with rich color and good background detail. The storyline is intriguing and makes sense, which added to my enjoyment of the game.
There is a good variety of puzzles and HOPs. They are all excellent. I loved the HOPs. The puzzles were more challenging for me, but not so much as to keep me hopelessly baffled.
Secrets of Great Queens: Regicide provided a relaxing day's entertainment. I hope there are more of this type game in the future. Fantasy and ghoulish games are so crazy numerous at Big Fish, that I jump in joy when games with a different theme come along,
Have a look at the demo and you might like what you see, maybe enjoy a bit of history at the same time.
God Bless....

The demo was busy and the tasks were pretty easy. I enjoyed it a lot because it moved at a good pace and the storyline was easy to follow. Very interesting about The Order of Guardians and The Sleepers. I thought it was a very creative idea for a story. Even though I'm not a big fan of traveling to different worlds, I may enjoy it this time.
I hope there is more of the immortal sea captain in the main game. He peaked my interest and I want to know his story. Saw only a few characters in the demo. They were done very well, there was credible emotion when speaking, the flow of speech was natural. I love the clothing in fantasy games, always beautifully designed and lots of color. However, the evil character who appeared in the demo was not so good, she looked and sounded too cartoonish, IMO.
The graphics were gorgeous, except a few times they seemed blurred and color was faded. Maybe it was meant as a special effect. The scenes were all filled with elaborate pieces of artsy things, beautifully crafted. Love just looking at it all. I think everything was done extremely well for this kind of story,
The HOPs were absolutely fantastic, super interactive and challenging. Some were brand new to me and so much fun. I even loved the storybook ones which is usually not the case. I wish other games offered this quality in their HOPs! The puzzles were unique and varied in style. The picture puzzles are my favorites.
Just one complaint here. This game has a helper and a useless one at that. A stupid owl that reaches the high places for you, but all he does is fly up there and stare at the item you need. If we must use a helper, it would be nice if it really helped! But personally, I don't think we need one. Gimmicks just irritate me to no end and kind of disrupt the gameplay for me. It would be nice if the helper was at least an option for those who love them, like the cursor and the game modes.
All in all, the demo shows promise of a very entertaining game. I think it will appeal to anyone who loves this game genre. It has a variety of game modes, so no one is left out of the fun. And with 5 different worlds to visit, it will probably be a long game. Well here I go, off to that darn Buy Now button AGAIN!!
God Bless....
I recommend this game!

I didn't need the demo, to know I would purchase Queen's Garden Christmas. I own all the games and hope we are blessed with many more of them. They are quite therapeutic for me, as they take my mind to a peaceful place while designing my gardens,
Right now I am rearranging the garden in Sakura Season for the umpteenth time. Eventually it will look just right, at least until I finish my cup of coffee! (lol) The Match 3s are fun and very relaxing, lots of different features and lovely tiles. But I am always anxious to just move on to the garden. I enjoy the music in all the games, especially Sakura Season.
These "building" games are so addictive, at least for me. They have tremendous replay value, there's no end to how many times you can change them around. Just lots and lots of fun. I have never run into any glitches or stalling. The graphics are always full of color and beauty. But I would love to see a bigger selection of both ground and garden items.
Well, thank you Big Fish for bringing us these lovely games. They are really a refreshing change from all the evil, soul snatching characters that have taken over our fish pond.
At least take a trial run in one of the Queen's Gardens, you just may become a big fan of this delightful series.
God Bless....
Happy After-Christmas Shopping!

Mrs Santa is so upset when she arrives at the detective agency for help. Poor Santa is in the slammer and we have to get him out of there asap or Christmas will be postponed until next year, A dirty scoundrel has framed sweet Santa for stealing presents and if that isn't bad enough, his voice has been stolen. Our expert, kind of quirky, detective skills will solve this case. After all, Mrs Santa has come to THE best agency for solving holiday crimes.
I love this new twist on a Christmas tale and the humor in it. The storyline was very entertaining for me. I loved the look of the graphics which seemed a little retro to me. The characters, voices, costumes, scenery were all done very well and the colors were not a neon assault on the eyes like in many Christmas settings.
The game was a lot of fun, not very difficult really, and all the games and HOPs were just the right challenge, for a relaxing good time with the entire family. I don't like giving too much info in my reviews, don't want to spoil anything for you.
Many of you may have read the CE reviews. Mine is posted there, a bit lengthier, if you care to check it out. I purchased this delightful Yuletide Legends game because the demo just made me do it !! It was a good purchase, no regrets. My collection of holiday games is getting crazy huge!

I was a little apprehensive going into the demo, thinking it might be too much of a child's game. Boy, was I wrong! This is a game for anyone who loves fantasy and Christmas and has a thriving imagination. I have never seen such an abundance of Christmas cuteness, everything was simply adorable. It would seriously take me days to finish the entire game, because I would get caught up in just looking at every little thing that came along,
Each scene was interactive, clicking an item would cause a reaction or sound. The birds and critters were darling and added extra beauty to the game. The characters, costumes, vocal expressions were excellent. Except, hard as I tried, I could not love that Chesire Cat. He moved at a snail's pace when his help was needed, and he just looked weird!
The puzzles and HOPs were very different, I thought. Lots of interactivity and the HOPs were great fun with all the Christmas goodies to search through and I felt the challenge was quite good. The map worked beautifully. The hint and skip settings could be customized in the game modes,
I am sure Alice will save the day and save Christmas for everyone, It will be a fun time following along in her endeavor to make everything right. I didn't meet up with her before my time expired...as I mentioned earlier, I was easily sidetracked and became a looky-loo instead of traveling on into the game. So rather than sitting on the fence any longer, I must purchase this delightful, bright little star to add to my Imagination Treasures.
This is perfect for the family, no matter what age or skill level. Quality family-friendly games are definitely in short supply in our fish pond. Maybe Santa will bring some more, if we wish really hard! This one gets 5 stars from this old child!
God Bless....

The world is crazy enough without losing Santa! This demo was so much fun and very busy. A great storyline that was quick-paced and easy to follow. I enjoyed every minute!
The graphics and colors were fantastic, every scene was delightful. Great job on the characters and costumes, the voices were expressive and loved the added humor. All the scenes are interactive, click on things and see what they do.
The puzzles were kind of easy but very enjoyable. The city map puzzle was unique, liked it. The HOPs were the best, challenging, highly interactive with a task required to find and remove item from your list. Most of the them had morphs and some even had puzzles to solve. There is a Monaco game to play if you don't like HOPs, The game was actually fun, but HOPs are always my choice.
This lovely Yuletide Legends has a vintage feel to it, even the quality of the HOPs, the abundance of activities, the family friendly puzzles, the scenery. Retro is definitely good, I wish more devs would take interest in producing games like this. We need them, IMO. Who Framed Santa breaks the monotony of our usual Christmas games in a very happy way, at least for me.
There are achievements to earn, I think there is a different collectible in each scene, morphing items in the HOPs, custom game settings. The music is pleasant throughout. I like the unique way we are informed about finding the collectibles in each scene. I'm sure glad other reviewers will be filling you in what I missed here. Lots to cover, even though I think some reviews are too informative and leave nothing to surprise (but you always have the choice of reading or not). I think our reviewers are really important in helping us make wise shopping decisions.
Well, I am anxious to discover what unhappy, grinchy soul framed Santa. We don't want to delay Christmas until next year, so let's get busy and solve this case. I highly recommend this sweet game for players of all ages. I wanted to purchase 5 minutes into the demo, 90 minutes didn't seem long enough this time. Thank goodness a good sale will be upon us soon.
God Bless....

The train ride quickly turned unpleasant for our two couples AND for me. So I jumped off 10 minutes before demo ended, I would have quit sooner, but kept thinking the action would start any minute now, Sadly, it never happened!
On a positive note, the few HOGs and puzzles I played were pretty good even though they were not very challenging. There was a hidden pinecone in each scene and a morphing object in the HO scenes. No dark junk piles to sort through, everything was recognizable, a little interactivity. The graphics were sharp and colorful, The tasks were not especially difficult to accomplish. The game had custom mode, a good jump-map and hints worked very well. A gadget was included. This one was a camera and your pics went right into the diary for future reference. I normally hate gadgets but this one wasn't too bad.
The sour note....the demo moved along very slowly and was so boring! There was a little action in an early cut-scene, but on the other side of the cabin door, Merely caught a glimpse of someone dashing up the corridor. The characters were stiff, if they moved at all, they were expressionless and voice-overs were like a bad script-reading.
After the demo, the game may improve and a good story come to life. My dislikes are certainly no reason to believe the entire game will be disappointing, but based on the demo, I am afraid to take a chance on it. Others of you may feel totally different. It's not my intention to influence YOUR opinion negatively and I think it is not fair to claim an entire game is a loser, based on a short amount of play time. My 2 star rating is for the demo only. And I am recommending this game to those fishies who don't give a hoot about what I think, LOL!!

It's funny how some memories are never more than a heartbeat away as time takes me further into my senior years. I learned many Mother Goose rhymes and now I fondly recall them from a long time ago. So of course I purchased this game!
The demo was so much fun which right away was a good sign, It started out with Humpty Dumpty being tossed out of the palace when he asked King Cole, what I thought to be, a very reasonable request. So Humpty is waiting for us to rescue him from cracking up (lol), as he hangs onto a statue's arm. Then off we go to a quick start with lots of items for inventory, collectibles, a task book and a great map.
What a pity that King Cole isn't a merry old soul after all. Seems he has been cursed with greed and is making everyone miserable and taking the merry out of Christmas. And where on earth is Mother Goose? This dear lady is the true keeper of Fairytale Kingdom and our only hope of returning the beauty and magic to Christmas for all its inhabitants. You can only enter the kingdom because your soul is pure and were chosen to find Mother Goose and make everything right again.
The game is lavished with dazzling colors and gorgeous scenery. The graphics are crystal clear and every scene is perfectly perfect with beautiful things everywhere. The characters and animals were created by masters of the art, to be sure! Everything about them, from head to toe is superbly done. Their gestures, the voices, their expressions, the costumes! Goodness gracious... what a lot of work and creativity went into this game, These devs really have the gift of imagination!
The puzzles and HOPs are plentiful, as are the collectibles. The game overflows with extra goodies which is usually the case with Domini. I am not to the bonus chapter yet, but I know it will not be disappointing. I have the feeling this will be a long game, every moment full of fun and silliness. After all, it is Fairytale Kingdom!
What a terrific time the children will have with this, enjoyment for the entire family, even the Grinches and Scrooges should get a kick out of it. Thank you Domini and Big Fish for such a wonderful Christmas game. Worthy of far more than 5 stars, in my opinion.
God Bless....

I have other clutter games and they kind of stress me out, in a fun way. But shopping with the Walters was crazy, I think it was the most challenging of any of my other clutter games. At one point it felt like my eyes were crossing and I had to stop a little short of my demo time.
I'm no spring chicken and my lovely old eyes had some trouble with the puzzles that changed around every 10 seconds and the ones with items in floating bubbles. I finished 12 puzzles, a slider puzzle and earned a big Christmas tree for the Christmas Square,
Everything was very brightly colored and VERY cluttered. I liked the variety and colors of the items. The smiley faces were a bit of a challenge when only part of the face is showing. There were different themes for the puzzles and each had its rule for play, There was a generous point system and your score was posted on a leaderboard with various animal competitors. There is a timer and your progress is shown as you play. You can replay all the puzzles.
Shopping with the Walter family was a fun speed-shopping experience. I think this a great clutter game even though it was a little hard on my eyes. Had a lot of fun because it was such a challenge. There is no end to the fun because of the great replay value. It is nice to play a game where there is no demon trying to take a bite out of your soul.
I am using my Game Club coupon, but I wouldn't hesitate to pay for this fun game if I had none. A 5-star good time!
