I love Elephant Games but didn't like this game. The demo was pretty dull. Graphics were dark and hazy, characters were scarce, the game was very quiet, scenes/locations not very interesting. It revealed little related to Halloween.
The gloomy castle was a little creepy, there was a skeleton, a demon spirit, tasks and letters, not much ese. I accidentally found 5 of the collectible fragments. Maybe/hopefully the game improves a lot after the demo. I don't want to risk disappointment so will check out other reviews before deciding to purchase. I didn't think there was enough extra content to make this a worthwhile CE.
We use to have such great Halloween games. Now all games have weak storylines and are boring, a lot of cartoonish artwork. Everybody loves the scary stories and creepy visuals for Halloween but it seems those are gone forever. When Big Fish changed the games changed big time! My original review was not posted?! By the way the review page is still broken and I really hate that the edit button doesn't work. When will these issues be fixed??

It's probably lost in the clutter! The items are in categories and extremely easy to match emblems, at least 25 to each level and new ones pop up as they are removed. You can work around them for a while but eventually have to get them out of the way.
After the first several levels it doesn't matter that you match all that's required or beat the clock, your score drops significantly. There's a variety of match styles and several types of mini games, none of which make the game more fun or interesting. I finished 21 levels in the demo which I only completed because I never like to quit a demo early, but I was ready to call it quits less than halfway through.
The graphics are always sharp and very colorful, items large and easy to pick out of the clutter, mini games are easy. I am so tired of animal characters, cartoonish graphics and mediocre gameplay. I appreciate something more thought provoking and visually stimulating than what these games have to offer. If you just love simplicity and something to have on hand when you're in maximum down-time, this will be perfect and the kids will have fun with it too.

I usually like the little stories attached to these games, this one is about werewolves. Nothing else is of much interest here. The graphics have become more cartoonish over time, these are dark, I really didn't like them. The gameplay never changes There still is no Limited Moves mode, many gamers will be displeased about that.
Building is very, very boring. The buildings look like cut-outs. All 4 upgrades must be purchased to advance to the next chapter. You have no option to choose which building or which location you want. There's LOTS of dialogue but skipping means missing the story, so since I'm a fast reader I just quick-click through it all. The boards and tiles are big and darkly colored. Objectives easy to complete, obstacles not very challenging, morphing tiles are a cinch.
I find Gaslamp Cases 5 very mediocre and for me a waste of time and $$. It may be lots of fun for others who love simple games or those who like collecting every game in a series.
I don't recommend this game.

I didn't have much fun searching for the items. Locations were pretty clutter, most items easy to find because it seems little effort made to hide them. But faded colors and extreme blending made some very frustrating to locate. Items were small, some were mislabeled, some misspelling but that's nothing new in these games. Finding the Fun Fact Key will reveal some trivia for each state, I found some of it to be inaccurate. There are simple but fun mini games and a variety of HO styles, 4 difficulty modes, features were okay. Had there been more list items and more challenge I would have purchased. With only a dozen items to find on each lists and ease in locating them the game will go too quickly and that cancels out the fun and good value for me. It may be just perfect for you, however.
I recommend this game!

Domini didn't do us any favors with this bare-bones HO game. HOPA fans will not be pleased! We are in dire need of quality HOPA games, instead we get this. And for them and BF to pass it off as a CE is ridiculous, imo.
It's just nothing but HOPs and games. No CE content at all, no options. It's obvious why there's no Strategy Guide, not needed! I played the entire demo hoping to discover something more, never happened! Despite the themes and rooms included the entire thing was boring. For a while I enjoyed the HOPs and games. Many were creative and challenging, I liked the interactivity BUT with nothing else, no adventure it became very mundane, very quickly. I'm not foolish enough to purchase after what I saw in the demo.
I imagine Domini thought this new idea would be a hit and a solution to the slump they are in, but I think it's just the opposite and won't go over well with the majority of gamers.
I don't recommend this game.

The story involves a fellow on a visit to his newly married sister. Finding that she and her husband are trapped inside their castle, thanks to Bluebeard's Curse, he's tasked with saving them.
There are beautiful birds that appear out of portraits in the castle. Ghosts of past residents help with rescuing your sister and her hubby. You'll uncover their long history and learn how it ties in with the events and the curse. It's a complex tale.
It is told by Charlie, the little bird who sits atop the music box gimmick. This gimmick is beautiful and not annoying, usually I can't stand them. It gives you the history of the castle and some of the characters. I wasn't bothered too much by al the narrative and tasks in this game which usually irritate me. The story was interesting, the puzzles and HOPs were all enjoyable, the challenge was average but some of the HOPs were too easy. It was a busy game, not boring.
The characters were nicely rendered, voices were good, loved the costumes. Scenes/locations were richly colored and interesting, some were too dark though and it was hard to find the collectibles. I especially loved all the beautiful birds.
I purchased the CE for the collectible birds and the bird figures they earned, for me it was a nice bonus. I don't think the SE will be short on fun or beauty and there are lots and lots of games to delight the puzzle lovers. Friendly Fox and quality always go hand in hand!
I recommend this game!
Complete unbelievable works of art that will bring out the artist in you!

Perfect timing with this one. As Hurricane Ian is approaching where I live, it will take me to a beautiful place. This is my 2nd attempt at submitting my review, it is completed deleted as someone else's is posted. Really VERY upsetting!!!!!
I really enjoy this art style with its real subject matter. The finished pieces are so rewarding. I love the blending of the color combinations, all natural, and the lack of lines between the colors. I love the animals, the bears are awesome. Don't like the pics of posed young ladies, not interesting to me. Men, women, children, people of other rarces at work, home, play would be more appealing as art. I wish they would have used a Native-American in that headdress! There's always too much food, imo. I never get why someone wants to paint or puzzle it, to me it's not art. But Art Coloring does a fantastic job at making it look appealing with the natural coloring. The detail, blending, subtle textures are always perfect no matter what the subject matter is. The colors are gorgeous and turn even the least interesting picture into a piece of art. I love seeing the images come to life as the colors "melt" into one another.
Art Coloring 3 includes a Pixel Painting Option, check it out in the demo. It's a great option, very unlike Pixel Art. I love it! With this, Art Coloring 3 will provide almost endless hours of fun. Great replay value! It's a definite purchase for me. I'm looking forward to the next Art Coloring and expecting it to be even better than this one to satisfy the artist in me!
I recommend this game!

The styles are Swap, Rotation and Split Tiles that can be customized. There are 12 to 27 puzzles in each category, sizes from 6x4 to 21x14, 8 levels of difficulty and you can use your own photos as well. Quite a package!
This enormous collection should have something fun and interesting for just about any puzzle lover. However, I found surprising few that interested me! The vast array of locations offered mainly cityscapes and individual buildings. Very little of the expansive countryside was included which would have been beautiful in these foreign regions.
The animals, birds, flowers, butterflies were unimpressive, foods and fruits were unappealing. There were boats, bicycles, autos but none were interesting. I expected a lot more color and a good variety of unique subject matter considering the amount of puzzles in this collection. Overall I was pretty disappointed. The one puzzle I tried out went smoothly and I enjoyed the choices I had for the assembly. I hated the "ding" sound when a puzzle piece was successfully placed. I wish there had been more to my liking. I haven't purchased any puzzles in ages but I'm not really into most of what was offered here. Animals and nature and unique pictures, fantasy are the things I love for puzzles. This is a great purchase, though, if you aren't as picky as me!
I recommend this game!

Is there something here that resembles a fun, challenging HO game? Not really! The item lists were varied, not a lot on them to find. The objects were very easy to spot, it seems no attempt was made to actually hide them.
Zero challenge right away ruined the game for me. I always like the Fun Facts but now wonder if they are accurate if the rest of the game is so inferior. I expected Rome to be a visual treat, but I guess I picked the wrong travel guide! The scenes were really unattractive and boring.
Neither the CE or SE version is worthy of more than 2 stars, in my opinion. Boomzap usually provides quality, fun games. Hopefully this won't be an on-going thing with them, we get very few good games anymore as it is!
I don't recommend this game.
Enjoy story-driven time management in the Wonderland of the past.

My last TM purchase was in 2014 when I got caught up in HOPAs Loved the old ones, very creative and fun. Due to the lousy other games we are getting now, thought I'd try this one for a little change.
White Rabbit woke up from a mysterious deep sleep that overtook Wonderland. He is overjoyed to discover Alice is returning and everyone is alerted so they can prepare for her arrival. The graphics are splendid, artwork is very bright and cheery.
There are 3 modes: Chill Out, Normal, Hard. I chose the easiest to get more done in the demo. There's lots of dialogue which I didn't mind, fun tasks, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum help out. None of the CE extras were available in the demo. I didn't like being unable to sample any of them and think it's unfair to have to buy the game to see what you're getting. The only two collectibles I was aware of were color palettes and puzzle pieces, the pieces being acquired by collecting flowers. Hopefully there are more, sometimes CEs are not very generous with collectibles. The hint shows you the layout of the scene with the tasks numbered, I didn't think it helped much,
Gathering resources was slow at first, then became much easier to collect coins and tools needed to build. It was difficult getting the rose seeds and one of the tools needed to cross the bridge. I probably missed something very obvious right under my nose, like I said I've been away from TMs for a long time and surely lost my knack for smart playing.
I think it's a cute game, had fun with the demo. Other reviews will be helpful with deciding whether or not to purchase.
