Too many tasks, too little challenge, nothing to suggest adventure anywhere in sight. After the demo will we find something to do besides toiling away at menial repairs, replace-its and find-ums? It's doubtful, in my opinion. I didn't like the demo, tried to!
I'm tired of games designed to dumb us down with childish ease, as we mindlessly click the mouse to get things done, rather than thinking and solving. Where's the fun in that? What happened to challenge? I want the feeling of accomplishment as I play and finish a game.
The devs, not just Elephant Games, have lost their way. Purposely or unwittingly? Now HOPAs are no longer fun or challenging or something to look forward to. When I want simple I go to the M3s, paint by numbers, and mosaic games.
"Strange Investigations" is okay if you're looking for simple gameplay with a sometimes/sometimes not interesting story included. I think Elephant always present nice graphics. The puzzles and HOPs are easy but fun. However, for me, the stories seem to take a backseat to these and the adventure is bearly noticeable

The challenges and beautiful visuals change slightly in every game and keep them fresh and always fun. I enjoy the unique boards and beautiful way the icons and obstacles work. The games have plenty to keep us busy, I love everything about them. I own the CE but the SE is surely great as well, even without the extra levels. Camelot is deserving of high praises!
I recommend this game!

This is a rare purchase for me because I am not good at choosing or playing TM games. Elven Legend 7 is today's Catch at $0.00, so a great opp to play something different to ward off the boredom/non-interest with BF games that has been aggravating me to death for a very long time!
Although I typically pass up TM games, I read all the reviews anyway. Every time, I find that joybelle 1 submits the most and best information, covering everything "top to bottom". I loved the demo, it was hectic playing in Normal Mode to earn the 3 stars. Easy Mode was fun but I need that star goal.
Thanks joybelle 1. I just might become successful enough to add more of these games to my stash! This one is very entertaining, visually interesting, challenging.
I recommend this game!

I was unhappy with Number 7 mostly because of too many images not having a full background or the image being too small and quick to paint. Number 8, imo, is much improved!! Art Coloring has always been one of my top 3 Paint by Numbers and I would hate to give it up due to these on-going issues. I'm hoping the devs will regard the opinions and suggestions from those of us who really enjoy Art Coloring.
I certainly appreciate seeing all the images without first completing the first level. Thank you so much! This new collection contains many wonderful delights to wake up with color. Some are stunning, some are cheery, some are just sweet such as the animals and bird. The subject matter was excellent except for my always and forever peeve. I do not like images of food, candies, drinks, etc. There are too many of them, from other devs as well. At least include FEWER of them!! I would love to see Nature, Animals/Birds, Sealife, anything Vintage, various Cultures, Historical Scenes.
The color palette is spectacular! Every color imaginable, unusual variations, deep/lush tones, vibrant/bright hues. Just wonderful. Also the different textures add more depth and detail to the images. I favor using the brush pointer that gives the impression of using real brush strokes. Also, I totally love the Pixel Painting. For me the color application is more gratifying and it takes longer to complete the image. I do wish the devs would leave our finished images on-screen longer, for us to enjoy after our efforts, before being whisked away. We only have a moment to enjoy them in the end.
This is an all-around winner in this genre, for which I am very thankful. Top quality games and ambitious, creative devs are a thing of the past in ANY genre since Big Fish made their big change in Aug '22. So we gamers don't want to lose the developers that we can always count on for top entertainment. Thanks!!!
I recommend this game!

Modern Art 16 still features uninteresting images all bathed in ugly, too-dark colors. I keep hoping the next demo will hold some nice surprises for those of us who love beautiful color and a wider variety of subject matter. Fans of all the shades of dark colors will love Number16, although there are splashes of actual brightness here and there.
Some of the pics are appealing and I especially like the occasional animals and birds. But once the paint is applied, the appeal vanishes. Because BF now offers better games in this genre I no longer regret that I stopped purchasing Modern Art.
Again, a game that was not featured on the Home page! I discovered it in New Releases. Another dev's Early Access release being overlooked, imo, because it didn't get the Home Page exposure. Even the very low price doesn't attract attention if people don't know the game exists.
Although I no longer enjoy Modern Art, this practice is not good for the devs....or its fans who look forward to every new release.

finding this game tucked away in the Recent Releases and seeing July 20 as the release date! I really don't recall that it was featured on the Home Page first. Maybe I'm wrong! Do you remember it? I thought this game was promoted to appear as "Thursday's Special Release".
My point is that I frequently spot new games in this way and, imo, it's very unfair to the developer not getting the New Game exposure on the Main Page, that is due and expected by both the dev and the gamer. Unless familiar with this "sneaky" practice, who would think to check out Recent Releases for the Early Access game? It has not even one review!
So, I played the demo for "The Professor's Secret" and enjoyed it very much. "City of Stories", though a fairly new series, is proving to be full of activities and lots of fun. The graphics are good and the story is an easy read for me. The first game, with Stephan, was great and it was a long game, so I'm expecting as much with this one. Hopefully, it won't disappoint.
I recommend this game!

but since there are fewer and fewer images with full backgrounds and variety has dwindled, my interest has gone the wayside. Also, now I'm seeing more Christmas/Winter images when the weather is still sweltering in my neck of the woods, and also it's just too early for thinking about Holiday stuff.
I own many games from this series and they have all brought me umpteen hours of relaxing delight. However, they just aren't as enjoyable anymore and I go elsewhere for most paint by number games I purchase. Art By Numbers is a quality series that appeals to many others and continues to dazzle us with its fantastic array of beautiful colors. The Free Paint option is a fun extra that lets our imaginations create our own custom colored versions of each image. This greatly adds to the replay value and really stretches the game's length.
The personal dislikes I mentioned by no means suggest this game is inferior in any way. The quality has been consistent from the beginning and I think these paint by number games are super for relaxing and waking up the artist in us.
I recommend this game!

and that's why I own them both and are the only two in the series that appeal to me. I love how most are dressed in little outfits and some just pose with sweet expressions on their faces. The variety of images is very good in "Fluffy Friends" and "Cat Town" and I don't find that to be so with the other games in this series.
It is impossible to complete even one image in any of the demos because of the thousands of cells to be colored in. But I scroll through all the pics in each category to see what the subject matter is and find most of them too juvenile. Many are very similar to one another either in the same category or 1-2 of the others but "Fluffy Friends" has a better assortment.
I do love the colors being displayed as numbered spools that disappear when the colors are completed. It is much better than the scrolling palettes of other games that are frustrating for several reasons. The very helpful zoom and sewing machine relieve the tedium and tired eyes that I experience while working on these very time-consuming images.
I love animals, most of these are all decked out in the perfect attire for leisure, chores or business that are delightful to just look at. The little mice are adorable. I recall birds in one of the categories. If you are attracted to pics like these that aren't appealing to many adults because the art style is juvenile and usually found in coloring books. I think you'll enjoy "Fluffy Friends". Also these games are very long because of the massive number of cells in each image. The two games I own are the only ones in the series with lots of cats and other animals.
This is a top-notch developer that shouldn't be overlooked. They always deliver quality entertainment and great replay value. We are in dire need of reliable devs that can bring us fun games that don't "break the bank". I'm so bored to tears and sick of all the CEs that we are constantly bomb-barded with, which makes me appreciate Graphium Studios even more.
I recommend this game!

I agree with most of the comments made by EveOfLove3, especially regarding this Graphium Studios game not appearing on the Home Page. When a game goes directly to the New Releases it is usually overlooked due to no exposure on the Home Page when first released. This is not fair and affects the developer more than you may think. Now that I know this happens frequently, I check every day in both places, often finding it occurs with other devs, too.
I love this quality developer from Ukraine and own many games from Graphium Studios, including a couple from this series however it isn't as good as it could be, in my opinion, and needs a few changes to make it more fun. Regarding subject matter, I would love to see fewer mushrooms and houses, less plain artwork such as furniture, hats, clocks, guitars, etc. Also the style is too juvenile, at least for me, and I think adding images more suitable for adults would be nice. More variety is needed, as many of the pics are very similar, and the addition of a background would be great, so they aren't just small images centered on the screen.
I recently purchased the game featuring all the adorable cats in various attire going about their daily chores or play. It is very enjoyable and my other one has a variety of animals that are fun to "sew". My favorite features are the zoom and sewing machine. Without them it would take forever for me to finish an image. I really like the spools of color much better than the usual scrolling palette used in other games.
My Hobby: Needlework will be a fun series for anyone looking for cute, sweet images to color. Be aware that they each have thousands of cells and the length of the game will surprise you.
I recommend this game!

This new release, Number 2, brings all the beautiful graphics, characters and continuing story back with a few changes that make the goals in the game a little easier to reach, with additional Jokers that are so helpful as the game progresses. The biggesr change is that it is a CE this time and I feel it is not needed. I can't justify paying the extra cost, even though it is an attractive, fun solitaire.
Waiting is the name of the game nowadays, for either the CE to go on sale or picking up the SE much later. So frustrating when a new game arrives that I am eager to play!
I recommend this game!
