I enjoyed the first game and was happy to see the Books of Moses added to the series. It never hurts to include an extra dose of spiritual inspiration to my day, even if it's in a game.
The content of Divine Journey, so far, proves to be accurate and receiving it at BF in this way doesn't bother me as long as it remains true to the Bible. I feel Brave Giant does a beautiful job with such a "touchy" subject. The graphics and art style in both games are really nice, puzzles/games are easy but enjoyable. A game like this every once in a while is a good thing, at least for me.
I don't need the steep CE cost adding to my tight budget so, as usual, it means waiting for a sale price like so many of us have to do for our games in these crazy times. And like JeansLady1 mentions, membership benefits have dwindled along with the budget. So, imo, this could have easily been an SE so we can afford to buy the game. Apparently the devs are not willing to sacrifice the CE $$ toward this kind gesture!
I recommend this game!

I fail to see why this is labeled "Editor's Choice". These puzzles, imo, aren't over or beyond in quality or subject matter than those we've already seen. The graphics and color are very nice, as usual, and a few images stood out as being more novel.
The Architectural and Still Life categories, for my taste in puzzles, were the best of the bunch. With all the beautiful animals, birds, butterflies, flowers, landscapes to choose from I feel this collection could have been much more interesting and varied if it is to be titled "Editor's Choice". I realize I'm crazy picky when it comes to puzzles and these are nice, just not what I deem super-duper in regards to the title.
I love all the features/options, especially the pieces snapping into place and sorting the edge pieces. I like being able to change the background color but wish there were fewer browns and greys, with pastels/brights instead. There's a small assortment of piece shapes that add more fun to assembly and a good amount of puzzle sizes to increase challenge. Everything worked smoothly in the demo and the 3 puzzles I worked in 60-pieces were fun and used up the entire time in spite of their smaller size.
I'm always eager to add more puzzles to my vast collection. I look for puzzles with that special appeal that comes from a photographer's exceptional imagination, instead of what seems to be just random shots gathered to fill a particular category. So this collection didn't hit that wow factor for me even though some of the pics were very lovely and a few were different, such as what were offered in the Still Life group. However, when it is available in a sale, I will pick it up for the puzzles I did find really appealing,
I recommend this game!

Just another NOT entertaining game from Domini that leaves me wondering why. They are perfectly capable of much better so it is always sad to see their current direction in game design. I keep hoping the next demo will surprise me with something fun/different but it never happens.
This game is riddled with negatives starting with all sound disappearing halfway into the demo and never returning. If you are going to make items so small that we can't see them, it would be nice to have a magnifier. As it is, the challenge without one is not fun, just wastes time. Also many items do not resemble their description. There's a variety of HOP styles. I found none of them enjoyable for various reasons.
"Find All Paired Objects", good luck with that. Items are so small, don't look like what you expect, graphics are unclear and dark, no idea what you're looking for, no amount of pairs given. Just click until you are exasperated to find a match and usually with a Hint. Not fun!! Also "Find the Differences" is set up in a ridiculous way that hinders your search, again needing hints. I still see no need for the Gold Stars. I earned them as I progressed through 12 levels in the demo but they hold no significance as far as I'm concerned. The Collectibles are pastry shop items and I found them only by chance. I vaguely recall cult club insignia but I failed to check out if they were an on-going collectible or just one of the first of the games HOPs.
This is not a friendly user game. I love challenging games but the challenges here are created by most items being too small, too dark, too hidden, too unrecognizable per their label. Lots of unnecessary clicking due to these misleading descriptions, poor graphics and dark scenes. Also several scenes were repeats to find a new list of items but that wasn't as bothersome as the other things that bugged me.
I feel the game is poorly designed and has too many "unfair" challenges. Sure, the objects were hard to find but for all the wrong reasons. The story gets lost in all the back to back HOPs and several games so, in my opinion, a story wasn't really needed in the first place.
Yes, I know, lots of complaining, but negative reviews are as important as the positive ones. For gamers AND the devs! We all have different tastes, too, so you might love the games that don't appeal to me. Hopefully this new one from Domini is lots of fun for you. I wish I could have found something positive because I would love to love Domini again like in the good old days before everything went all cuckoo!

in this story of good and evil with a little bit of humor thrown in via the talking red book. Mona, our dreamer, is assigned to find the missing goddess in her dream as she travels through various realms meeting up with strange, sometimes menacing creatures. What will happen in a world of chaotic disorder if Harmony is not restored? With Mona's help we shall hopefully put things right and have fun at the same time in this adventure from Jet Dogs Oy.
Graphics were clear and very colorful, not shrouded in darkness and gloom so that was refreshing. Several characters appeared in the demo. Great in appearance but I felt the vocal expressions were not so good and didn't fit the characters very well. The high-pitched voice of the red book was unpleasant. The music was very nice, there were no glitches.
Really this is just a glorified HOG with HOPs and puzzles back to back, with just a thread of the story to awaken our curiosity enough to want to progress through the game. The little bit of storytelling captured my attention and I had a good time with the HOPs and puzzles, also the dream visuals were very pretty. There was reading of dialogue in addition to the talking but it wasn't annoying or very lengthy and helped in following the story.
There was a good variety of HOP styles and they were extensive as new items replaced the ones found on the list. They were enjoyable without a killer challenge to have you frequently reaching for a Hint, The long list of HOs isn't quickly finished. The Hint recharges slowly and there's a "frosty" click penalty after 3 or more rapid boo-boos. Most items are of decent size, some are very small, some are hidden within a cluster of items, some do not resemble their descriptions. The HO scenes are spread out across the screen rather than being placed on a table or in a cupboard as in most other games. So that made the HOPs more time consuming, in a good way. I really liked them. The puzzles were different and interesting, not too hard to conquer and were skippable.
Based on the demo I surprisingly had a good time with this game. I think it is worth my time even though I've no clue to CE content. Budget always dictates my game purchases so will just sit back and wait, as usual, for the New Release sale restriction to be lifted. It's a pain but better than paying full price for CEs that are disappointing more often than not.
I recommend this game!

these games were as exciting as the synopsis describes them. But that is never the case! The theme for today's game being a ghostly park seemed promising but I wasn't impressed. It would have earned a better opinion if I had seen more of the story and fewer tasks and games.
Download was free of error codes and the demo played just fine. However, I found just another in the long line of Domini games of this sort that has a go-nowhere story and mostly inactive characters. The characters here looked a little "off" as with the movements of the red-eyed female ghost and also voices not fitting anyone's appearance, and lacking appropriate expression. Domini used to do much better!
I feel, based on the demo, that the game will be filled with too many tasks, lots of HOPs and puzzles, with just a brief look into the story and little action. That would not be out of the ordinary from Domini and I expect more from particular titles but disappointment usually rules. I did give "Ship from Beyond" more stars because of the story's theme but then found it didn't live up to the synopsis overview and it was short on everything except tasks and games.
In "Ghost Park" the demo had plenty of HOPs and puzzles. Again, not crazy about the HOPs even with the creative styles and interactivity. This is mainly due to dark scenes making it hard to find things and recognizing items according to their description. I enjoyed the colorful puzzles, usually it's the other way around for me since I am too impatient to spend much time on them. They were not terribly difficult and the variety was good.
If you're a Domini fan and amusement parks are a fun attraction for you, then this game is sure to please especially if you feel a story matters less than the activities. In the demo I didn't find anything macabre or haunting, just a ghost whose head movements were weird and a guy who needed to sound/look more scared in his situation.
If there are more ghosts and a good amount of action after the demo, I think the SE version might be worth picking up. I'd be surprised if the CE offered anything special enough to warrant a higher price but sometimes a good bonus chapter adds a great deal to the entertainment value.

The graphics are really very nice, color is great. The collectibles are photos, not so hard to spot but the puzzle pieces are depicted as a faint outline of a magnifier so those are more difficult to see. There's a secret room which can be customized, misc items in shop that weren't available in the demo.
The game's layout was confusing to me, not always sure where to go/what to do next, when to proceed to next scene. It always felt like I was leaving something undone because the indicators made it seem I could re-enter the scene to finish up whatever. It was just too vague or maybe I'm just a dumb bunny!
I enjoyed the HOPs very much. Not all the typical style, the challenge was good, lots of interactivity and moving from one place to another to find my list items. Some objects were very small, most were very well blended into the surroundings. Some descriptions were misleading, such as the traveler's cloak that really looked like a long-sleeved shirt to me. Many of the HOs I would describe as being disguised, rather than concealed or blended, because I would hit on items that looked nothing at all like what I was searching for, and it turns out they were correct. So that annoyed me a bit. Had to use Hint a few times for those particular things that just weren't visible due to this "trick".
The puzzles/games took more time than I was willing to spend. After a few minutes I was too antsy to move on because I was wasting valuable demo time. There was a good variety, not all easy, one jigsaw was a real doozy which I ended up skipping and saw that I never would have gotten it right after seeing it completed. It was all a good time, every HOP and game was fun with a good level of challenge.
I didn't follow the storyline all the way through. I would have enjoyed voice-overs and animal sounds although their were a few birds chirping away here and there. An animal sanctuary should be noisy with all the different kinds of critters and birds.
Even though I did enjoy the entire demo, I'm not sure I would consider buying the CE as it seems a bit sparse to me. There was a good variety in the HOP styles and types of puzzles but I felt uncomfortable playing. I think it's from being unsure of my next move, as I mentioned earlier, with scenes left open for return visits. Sound a bit confusing? It was for me.
Anyway, not bad at all. Something that is out of that boring, cookie-cutter category that has taken over so many games recently. I like games involving animals, was hoping to see more of them in the locations and read some trivia along the way. That would have made it much more enjoyable. The info inside the pamphlets/minor books wasn't much.
When the SE version arrives I'm sure it will be a buy or if my budget and mood are in a good place I'll go for the CE and enjoy the extras that might be more than I anticipated from the limited demo info.
I recommend this game!

to completely banish the evil forces forever. So here we are with a magic tower, a portal and an important mission to accomplish. I will describe the demo as a jumbled mess and the gameplay was uncomfortable. You might have a better experience. Since I don't recall the original release I've nothing for comparison, but I did not much enjoy my trial time.
Graphics are colorful and artwork makes the scenes interesting but not great otherwise, imo. The cat is a clever idea but he annoyed me with his sometimes snide little remarks and he soon became a verbal nuisance. I played Easy Mode so maybe his presence will be less frequent with his "suggestions" in the other mode. The inventory bar could not be locked, also retrieving the items and placing in scenes was not as smooth as it should've been.
Darkness ruled throughout the demo even with bright colors showing in some areas and the busy scenes became a challenge because of this. In addition the items were usually quite small and still hard to make out even after using a clue. The Hint system did work smoothly though and recharge was 15 seconds. There are 100 cat claws to collect throughout the game, including in the HOP scenes. They are either very obvious or, in the HOPs, concealed in or behind something.
The HOPs were super full of interesting items but most were very hard to distinguish due to dark areas and also just didn't look like you would expect them to. To me that is an unfair challenge and prolongs the search making it more frustrating than fun especially, if like me, you hate using hints. There was a lot of interactivity, usually fun, but it wasn't the case here because object recognition still presented a problem.
The demo was almost back to back HOPs with a few minor puzzles thrown in. The evil witch and Lily briefly appeared, the cat was always present, and no voice-overs after Lily left other than the detective a couple of times. So those "unforgettable voice performances" mentioned in the synopsis??? Claims made in the synopsis are usually very far from the truth. Hopefully it will be different this time!
I don't know anything about the original game but this Remaster, if considered an improvement, was not impressive. The scenes were disarrayed with interesting things to catch my eye but overall the not-bright-enough graphics reduced the appeal. The demo fell flat in several ways, for me. Maybe afterwards it all takes off into a fun adventure full of surprises and outsmarting the evil forces, with the help of Lily and the detective.
It's hard to say with playing just the demo whether or not this CE is the best choice. To me it seemed short on the extras and many CEs are very short in length these days. I wasn't crazy about the gameplay but I'm basing my opinion on the difficulties I had with trying to recognize items and the darkened areas concealing them. And I really could have done without that cat! I hope you enjoy the game more than I did, as entertaining worthwhile CEs are hard to come by these days!

I'm sorry Friendly Fox but considering the theme, this ghostly tale was too laid back for me, based on my trial time. As always the graphics were excellent, characters nicely rendered, voices seemed fitting to appearance. I'm an old softy for pets, cute or not and helper animals don't bother me at all. Ozzy was a cutie and wasn't used very often in the demo.
The 49 turtles and 49 badges were very easily located and the pop-out indicator was there to remind us if any were overlooked. The amulet was a subtle gimmick that gave up more history of Greenbush as it was assembled with crystals. The Plus Items assembled themselves and the parts weren't difficult to collect because they were usually right at hand without searching everywhere.
Logic, as usual, is never an option as the solution to any task or situation. The make-shift tools are silly and a way to avert danger always leaves me with the same thought, "OMG, REALLY?!" However, I've seen worse examples in other HOPAs. Tasks always fill up a great deal of the demo and don't give ample time for much of the story to come into play.
The ghost town and bad guy were not so scary, nor was the snake. When Ford took Jesse captive I thought the action would pick up but by the end of the demo it was still dragging. The idea for this story is unique with the rising ghost town but elements just didn't come together to make it stand out or interesting enough to hold my attention.
I realize that a demo can't contain all that is needed to help us decide whether or not to buy the game, but I was expecting more from this story's theme to ignite my curiosity and eagerness to play past the demo. Purchasing the SE is a consideration. CEs are no longer a great value, imo.
I feel it will undoubtedly appeal to many gamers who love ghost town stories and are anxious to discover more about its watery fate and the big, bad Ford whose return is to exact vengeance for deeds yet unknown to us.
I recommend this game!

occasionally and you might find a surprise to your liking that was not featured in Early Access. That's what happens for me, twice now, with the Pop Art games. My favorite finds! I was able to get Numbers 2, 3 and 4 for $2.79 each. Or if you are a Paint By Numbers fan, today 2 new ones are offered for $2.79 as well.
In my opinion Pop Art is the most gorgeous of all the paint by number games on BF, even surpassing Art Coloring due to its variety of pics and colors that make them pop with shading and little details. The images are all unique and interesting, the color selections for each are the perfect combination for bringing them to life with extreme beauty.
A color bar lets you pick and adjust the background color which also appears in the image. I use different ones to make finding tiny areas easier, depending on the palette for the image. The Zoom is excellent for locating those little places that escape our notice. The very pointy cursor is perfect for a direct hit on them. I also like that the pics don't exceed the margins of my screen, so unless I am using Zoom while painting there are no areas hiding beyond the edges. That makes my job easier. The only thing I would wish for is a counter to show us the number of areas we are working on and how many of the color are remaining.
I really love Pop Art. I am amazed at the results! When nearing the end of my "masterpiece" I leave one little space undone to let me enjoy it awhile before I have to move on to the next. I hope the series continues but not where a new game is released too often. Sometimes I think it spoils the fun of arrival because it's expected instead of being a surprise.
If you enjoy paint games try the demo. I'm presently on Number 2 and I love completing a pic each night before bedtime. It's calming and the beauty leaves me smiling. Thanks BF for the nice surprise today!
I recommend this game!

The game is colorful with its nice graphics and pretty cards but I've no idea what inspired the title. I don't recall seeing this as an Early Access so either I missed it or it was just added as a New Release.
The decks are big. There are too many on the table and not enough in-hand to win much of the time after the first few levels. Plus what I never like in solitaire is having large multiples of the same face-up cards, in a few of the levels I had 5 and 6 of the same cards and no way to use them all. My foundation pile was always skimpy and/or didn't have the cards I needed. I think the game is set up for too many fails and expert skills don't really matter. When cards remain on the table it's frustrating so you either move to the next level or replay for those stars until it drives you bonkers! Large combos were not easy to achieve so I was excited the few times I succeeded.
The cards at left of screen are added to your foundation pile as they are won from the table, I think, just didn't pay close attention as I was playing. There's a free Joker, always handy and the tied-up trio at bottom right are Wild Cards but extra strategy was needed to use all three to help clear the table. I usually still ended up with 1 or 2 cards at end of level.
Of the helpers, the recharging Hammer removes one card and recharges quickly enough. I don't exactly know what triggers the help of the power-ups and boosters. The demo wasn't enough time to figure everything out. I should've thought to read the entire tutorial first instead of just jumping into the game.
The game is challenging. I liked it for the most part as it was not typical in several ways and that changed it enough to make it more interesting, certainly not boring. According to the synopsis (hopefully a truthful description), it should become more involved with a variety of gameplay and perhaps more challenge as you progress through 130 levels.
I'm just not sure I want to go there because I get too tired of replaying levels to earn the stars and do not enjoy the abundance of all-the-same face-up cards that thwart clearing the table. I don't have the patience to continue playing if tedium overtakes the fun when trying to win a level.
I would probably pick this up in a sale. My cards collection is not huge due to the small amount of quality solitaires offered on Big Fish and the games with the Gold Card headache are never an option, so Aroma Solitaire seems like a game to test your skills and endurance while you strive for the reward of 5 Gold Stars.
I recommend this game!
