A lot of mistakes in the storyline, confusing game play. Not as fleshed out and professional or fun as the previous Ellie's Farm games. Play the older games before bothering with this one. This game appears to have been rushed or lacks editing. The storyline doesn't make sense because several times they have shown the wrong character next to the speech bubble (i.e. Ellie is pictured when there's a speech about how the firefighter [Jared?] plans to fix the flooded animal burrows, or Ellie is pictured when it clearly should be Ms. Sharp speaking). It isn't clear what the actual tasks are in each level ("restore the ecolevel" means different things in different levels; more detail, like unblock the drain to reach the wasteland to clean it up [to be able to restore the ecolevel], would be helpful). I've had to play several levels twice to figure out what I have to do to finish the level within the 3-star timeframe. Never had to wander around and click randomly to figure out what the goals mean with the other Ellie's Farm games. This is the collector's edition that I paid extra for. Not at all worth it.
I really like this game series. PL4 finally starts to reveal more of the story; I feel like the other games were dragging the story out a little too much and hardly revealed any details. The games is pretty easy and some levels are a bit slow to add new tasks, but it is still an entertaining and captivating game. The only area of improvement needed in PL4 are the mini games between levels; the explanation for how to play is not great. For example, the minigame/puzzle after level 36 says to "find all the items in the box". Got it. But what box?? I feel like some part of the animation skipped some dialogue or this puzzle wasn't quite finished when the game was released. Other than that minor part, it is a really good TM game.
This game was more interesting than the usual match 3 game. It had a cute story and there were some challenges (spiders, locked tiles) in the game play that made it better than most. Highly recommend this game even to those who don't usually go for match 3 games.
Fit Club is a challenging time management, tycoon style game! As you build your fitness club you have to deal with guests and develop your sports teams.
Even after the "tutorial" and playing for an hour, I only have half a clue of how I'm supposed to operate the game. Not at all intuitive. Graphics are poor and screen space is poorly used. The title on top of the game and the name of the members when you click on them interfere with game play. I've found some "hidden gem" games that are old or have poor graphics quality, but Fit Club is not one of them.
Similar to Baking Bustle and Julie's Sweets. This game doesn't have instructions in chapters for preparing new items. The order you click some of the ingredients/cooking implements matters. I had to replay a couple levels once I figured out exactly how to create the item the customer wanted. Also, some of the items you need to customize are really detailed and are hard to see on an average laptop (i.e. a pita with peppers only vs a pita with peppers and onions or a kabob with a thin stripe of white sauce versus tan sauce). I don't like that you can't purchase multiple upgrades if you've had a really good round (unless you've saved up money and not spent it after previous rounds). Basically, you're really good rounds don't get you that much more than a mediocre performance. The storyline is better than most; its not about a female needing a man to provide support for her to succeed in her profession/quest or overly focused on romantic relationships (there are still some relationship aspects, but it isn't super dramatic).
This was a fun time management game with 100 levels across 5 different stores. Each store has different items to stock and make. As the game progresses new characters are added that both help and add extra challenge to each level. I recommend this game for TM fans. I didn't have any issues with bugs that a few others have mentioned and I've played it all the way through several times.
I loved this game and highly recommend. It is easy to understand, but still challenging as the levels go along. I like that there are new shops (chapters) every 15 levels. You have to start all over again building your shop with new things to sell and make. There are tons of levels and hours of game play. I'm playing the game again for the third and, likely, not the last time.
Developers of this game did not do their due diligence. It has a lot of bugs. It's pretty fun, but even when you have hints enabled it doesn't tell you how to make dishes on the higher levels. So you have to do trial and error to figure it out. The dishes are also not very intuitive for how you make them, for instance, if you put shrimp in the frying pan you get shrimp brushetta. If you put shrimp in a boiling pot, you get shrimp on a skewer. If you put shrimp in the toaster oven, you get shrimp casserole. Then, if you put skewered shrimp in the large oven you get shrimp scampi. It doesn't make a lot of sense. Also, I was unable to play the regular version of this game due to a major bug that completely stopped game play at level 12, but I have so far played through 3/4 of the collector's edition. I have also downloaded and play the first Baking Bustle with no issues. Another complaint I have with this game is that it can be difficult to get the game to respond to mouse clicks. I've had to go back many many times and click on things two or three times to get the game to recognize the action. This obviously slows down game play a lot. I would like this game a lot more and recommend it to others if the bugs and game play issues were corrected.
I was able to get to level 12 when it froze. There are small blinking flames on 2 of the kitchen equipment and there is a purple post-it note on level 12. Not sure what this means. The characters don't respond when I click anywhere on the game. I also tried going back and replaying another level that I successfully already played, but the kitchen equipment has the same blinking flame on it and the game timer doesn't count down and the characters do not respond to any game commands/clicks. This game is also not very intuitive. For instance, you get hamburger if you chop meat before grilling it. However, if you cut the meat after grilling it, you get london broil (or something like that). Took me a minute to figure out how to get the different meat entrees; same for the different coffees and ice cream/smoothie.
