After finishing this game, I was left speechless! Every aspect of this game is fantastic from the complex yet understandable storyline to the fantastic artwork to the engrossing puzzles and hidden objects scenes! This game deserve all 5 stars because the only negatives I could think of were extremely small details that in the long one. This game is designed for all levels of players who want a casual experience through a magical fantasy with an engrossing story. I cannot wait for the next installment of Darkarta, and Tuttifrtutti has already started to provide screenshots and sneak peeks of their next game.
Pros:
- Beautiful graphics and audio that will absorb you into a world with mythical creatures and all powerful gods
- A complex story of a mother saving her daughter from the clutches of an evil king who only wishes to save his beloved. Two love stories in one! Completely original and super creative!
- The main game is long and the bonus chapter continues where the main game left off, adding another to 45 minuted to an hour of gameplay
- Puzzles are very creative and not too many HOS
- The cutscenes themselves are like profesional short films
Cons:
- The HOS need a little more variation besides lists
- Some of the puzzles are too easy
Please support this up and coming developer!
I recommend this game!

I was so excited when I played this beta and learned that Eipix would be creating a throwback game to earlier installments of the Mystery Case Files series originally developed by Big Fish Studio and then Elephant Games. I enjoyed the 30 - 45 minute survey because of the amazing graphics and seeing all of the characters from past games. I started playing Rewind the first day it was released, wondering what would happen after the demo portion, but I was incredibly disappointed. My fun throwback game turned into 4 hours of clicking around the scene looking for objects in the same places over and over again. There was not a substantial story, it was just Victor time traveling and messing up time and space. I divided my thoughts into pros and cons about this game.
Pros:
- Beautiful artwork and audio, a little cartoonish but clean
- The Door super puzzles are fun and creative.
- I Love the diary and Victor’s notes because it helps develop the story and explain past games in case some players never owned them.
- I Love the throwback to characters from past games
Cons:
- The HOS were all lists with no silhouettes, find and use, pairs, etc.
- The Puzzles for creating the keys were confusing and boring
- The Door puzzles overall were too easy
-You literally search the bathroom ten times in a row
-Scenes were repeated to many times with no variation
- The Door cutscene is annoying after seeing it over and over again, and you had to wait to skip it
- The plot did not have any suspense or conflict
- Some of the characters in the game were not the most memorable.
For example: Why was the Bearded Lady brought back instead of Madame Fate herself or her cat?
I don't recommend this game.

fromDreamcatchers are used to capture good dreams in the web which then slide down the catcher through the feathers and onto the sleeping child. The bad dreams are captured in the web and destroyed in the morning by sunlight.

GrandMa Game Studios does not release as many games as Eipix or Mad Head, but the games they do release are high quality and polished. Whispered Secrets is my favorite series from GrandMa Studios because it is a mix of paranormal and fantasy. The beautiful graphics create distorted worlds where our fears are real and become monsters. Unfortunately, the negatives I list below caused me to deduct a star for my final rating. I hope my pros and cons list help any casual gamers who are thinking about purchasing this game.
Pros:
- Beautiful Graphics and Audio that paint the different scenes
- Good mix of easy and more difficult puzzles - perfect mix for intermediate and beginner players
- Good creative plot - reminds me of stories about the boogieman
- Dreamcatcher gimmick is not used too often and fits with the story
- The main game is longer than the usual standard and the extras contain a large amount of content
- Story was easy to understand and explained well through story books in the game
Cons
- HOS are not varied - too many lists of objects
- HOS scenes are recycled/used more than once which comes across as either lazy or lack of creative ideas
- After the demo ends, the pace slows down too much
- The detective magnifier glass was annoying and did not add to the quality of the game
I recommend this game!

I could not think of a creative title using Deja Vu, so I tried my best. Although this game is not as spectacular as the very first Phantasmat, Eipix has created a spectacular game which demonstrates why they are one of the top developers in the HOPA world! I had a fun time playing this game, and I only stopped because I had dinner plans with my friends! My true rating is a 4.5, but I rounded it up to 5 because Phantasmat is one of my all time favorite series ever! If you are a fan of HOS, then this game is great for you! I like to organize my review into a Pros and Cons list, so I hope this helps any people who are thinking about purchasing this game!
Pros:
- Beautiful graphics and audio as always!
- Solid storyline, easy to understand, I think Eipix could have played around more with the butterflies and hypnotized women aspects.
- Solid pace, it slows down while at the store and Melissa’s, but it speeds back up again after that.
- Puzzles were a good mix of challenging and easy
- I liked the broken glass on the sides of the screen when Matthew is hypnotized
Cons:
- Too many HOS overall and they were mainly lists - some scenes were used more than once
- Puzzles although challenging, were boring and did not offer any new ideas
I recommend this game!

I have decided to start reviewing games more often, so this is my first review in a while since Puppetshow Arrogance Effect. Overall, this game is an improvement from past installments of this series, however, it does not beat Price of Immortality in the slightest. This is a solid game Amax Interactive/ERS Studios and is a good game fore beginner or intermediate players. My actual rating would be a 3.5, but I rounded it up to 4 stars for the reasons stated below. The following pros and cons list may help your decision for purchasing this game.
Pros:
- Gorgeous graphics as always from this developer!
- Good, straightforward story that makes sense and for the most part is original
- I love that the achievements include fun facts about the developer and their process for making the game
- The bonus chapter is a good length and adds satisfactory playing time to the game
- The pace is good throughout the game!
- I liked the creative HOS in the bonus chapter where you match the stencil of the animal to objects in the shed that match their color.
- I am not a big fan of gimmicks, but I liked the scissors in the bonus chapter and the puppet helper in the beginning of the main game
Cons:
- Puzzles are very easy and are not very creative
- Most of the HOS scenes are used twice
- Most of the HOS are lists
I do not care for the extras in the Collectors Edition version of most games because they do not add too much play time. I would mostly recommend the SE because the bonus chapter is a separate story from the main game and the extras are nothing special except for the achievements which I mentioned above.
I recommend this game!

Based on the Demo:
Here we go again with puppets trying to kill us everywhere we go! This is the THIRTEENTH game in the Puppetshow series, and this game does not exactly add anything special to this collection. The main positive aspect about this game are the amazing graphics. AMAX does an incredible job in their visual and audio department in all of their games. In my opinion, the helper AMAX provides us is adorable and is not much of a nuisance. You might use her maybe three times through the whole Demo. Everything else was created poorly and needs extra help! The difficulty of this game is very easy, and there is no creativity when it comes to the puzzles. Most of the minigames are trial and error, or a simple place the pieces in their correct spots. There really wasn't a story in the game except a meteor fell from the sky, and now people disappearing. Then puppets were thrown in to try and make it a little more original(which it did not). I plan to wait for the Standard Edition and hopefully a better story will unfold as the gameplay continues. I would recommend this game, only if you like the Puppetshow Collection, and do not mind the simple puzzles.
I recommend this game!
