I didn't see Whispered Secrets: The Story of Tideville until it came out as a SE. I was pleasantly surprised, it took me several days to complete, a bit longer than normal, but I don't always get to sit and play for long.
What did I like? I enjoyed playing in expert mode and having to puzzle things out for myself. There's no map or hint for what action to take next, so a lot of back-and-forthing goes on, but considering all of the other games with a lot of hand holding, this was refreshing. Yes there are a lot of HOS, but plenty of objects to collect and puzzles to solve. I loved the mechanical animals laying gems :) :) :)
I didn't find the menaces of the mad scientist all that realistic, he was a lot of bark and no bite, but all in all I greatly enjoyed this game and might even play it again!
I recommend this game!

Being a huge fan of the Fairway series and "golf" type solitaire in general I snapped this game up after mere seconds in the demo. The graphics and music are lovely!
I cannot give it a good rating, despite many good points, because even with ALL of the upgrades, once the game play reaches the level of the Mermaid kingdom and approaches the volcano I found most of the game levels to be impossible to win due to the overly complex configuration of the board lay out and too few cards in the deck. Many, many times I ran through the entire deck before clearing more than a half-dozen cards from the tableau, and I have finally given up and deleted the game because I do not enjoy a game where I have to replay one level 6 or 7 times just to finish it with less than 5 cards remaining. So, if you are competitive and insist on winning, this might not be the card game for you!
I don't recommend this game.

I like this series. No, I really, really enjoy this series! I need a break from the unrelenting darkness, the mafia-style shootings and other creepiness. The graphics and gameplay of this series, Skyward included, are terrific. Except for the horrible mini-games in this one. So little information is given as to how to even begin some of the games that skipping them just became routine. And I LOVE tough mini-games. So, if you don't mind skipping things, this will be a lovely diversion. If you can't stand to skip things, then skip this one all together.

My favorite game in quite a long time. The length is worthy of a CD, the hint system gives good guidance without unnecessary hand holding, the puzzles are a mix of old friends and new, many with a twist. I love that each chapter was as equally complex as the previous one. The graphics are lovely and clear, the HOS are well composed, partially interactive, and don't dominate the game play. An excellent offering by a trusted developer!
I recommend this game!
