My favorite Match 3 games are also from PlayAcademy: SilverTale and Runefall, so I was excited to trial this one. I bought it almost immediately. Like the other 2 games, the player travels from board to board after finding keys or other supplies so it is never boring as the icons change also. Treasure chests needing keys, architecture needing to be built, power ups to help clear fog and other obstacles, lots to do compared to the average Match 3 game. Try it!
I recommend this game!

I was so excited to see this game. Ana Wiki developers are wonderful and I own all of their games. But what were they thinking by putting dark green numbers on a black background? By putting minute numbers on other puzzles? Come on! I love mosaics, but this one is unplayable. Sorry, but if your eyesight is a bit astigmatic, I do not recommend this game. I wish it would be changed because the puzzles are challenging and the idea is wonderful.

Why am I happy? Because the developers, in options, give us a choice to make the grid white or black. My eyes just cannot see white on white so this is a wonderful option. It works so well and although I was worried about how a black square would look on the black grid, it was so nice to see that the black was pearlized or made shiny and so easy to continue. I played in normal mode and the puzzles are progressively challenging. Not much of a story line, but that is all right for a nonogram. The music is mainly piano and not monotonous. And, of course, I bought the game.
I recommend this game!

This is as enjoyable as the first one, Spring in Japan Mosaics. The puzzles are a bit more challenging than others, the story line is playful, and the additional puzzles that appear throughout are clever. I'm a music person so that is my main complaint. The music is relaxing, catchy, but repetitious. Sometimes it disappears completely, sometimes another melody is tacked on. Just a personal preference to
have consistent, decent music. Also, I am usually the one that complains about white mosaics on white background, but the white is a bit pearled or shadowed so they are playable. There are lots of white tiles so please be aware if you are using an aging computer or your eye sight is fading a bit. I do like that the suitcase containing the souvenirs is now filled. In the previous mosaic puzzle, not all the souvenirs were added and I enjoy seeing what is being mentioned by the journalist. Love all the bonus games when the story is finished. Looking forward to the next one (where will we go in winter?) and will definitely buy it!
I recommend this game!

I usually adore MadHouse games but couldn't finish this one because not all the puzzles were skippable. Hey, not all of us are super smart game players and many of us just want to enjoy the game, try the puzzles and be able to skip when needed. I played the mandala puzzle so many times that I finally gave up and uninstalled. In the beginning days of casual games there were no skips and I lost my money on a few games. The best thing about game development was the "invention" of the skip button. Now, many of the games are only allowing some of the mini puzzles to be skipped despite choosing casual mode to play. I will be sure to play the entire trial before buying games anymore and do not recommend this game to people who want to play in casual mode.
I don't recommend this game.

THE GOOD NEWS: A wonderful, challenging game! Always something new including shapes, colors, and dynamic music. I bought the game after completing 3 boards.
THE BAD NEWS: Although I always rate World's Greatest Places and World's Greatest Cities with 5 stars, I cannot do it this time. I know that previous reviewers have complained about the white on white squares. It is impossible for some of us to see this and it is like a punishment, detracting from the game. Why use it on the "Casual" choice? We don't all have 20-20 vision. Also, and I haven't come to this yet but feel I will, somewhere along the way the music stops while working on puzzles and doesn't start up until (sometimes) the next puzzle or until ending the game.
I am complaining now in order to add my voice to the problems. Sadly, if the next game has white on white squares, I will not buy it.
Recommended for those who have perfect vision and don't care about the music.
I recommend this game!

I am a mosaic/griddler fan and World's Greatest Cities are one of my favorites. Like previous ones, we read interesting info about particular cities, listen to upbeat music, and get to be creative while playing. My favorite puzzles are Mystery Lands with images in each square and animated graphics of boats and swimming creatures. There are the usual puzzle grids including Roman numerals and labyrinths, but the developers are so innovative that this time they have given us a puzzle within a puzzle that is so fun (but skippable). Instead of numbers we have geometric symbols or alphabet letters. Kind of a surprise and an extra eye-opener to go along with my morning coffee! Bought the game and off to play some more!
I recommend this game!

All griddler games are not created equal, and this is my favorite. This particular one has a winter holiday theme and the music is appropriate for the season. Like the previous ones, I enjoy the surprise of seeing a city grow. The snippets about them are also interesting. The labyrinths and use of Roman numerals give a special uniqueness to the game, too. I look forward to their next creation!
I recommend this game!

I purchased this game in April 2016 but hardly played it. I was so bored a month ago and desperate for a really great Match 3, so I re-downloaded it and now I cannot stop playing it! What was I thinking almost two years ago that I didn't even get halfway through? There are so many reviews about the game and I want to say that I agree with all the 5-star ones: beautiful music, challenging game play, the use of strategy and so many different ways to earn power ups. Love moving to other boards and seeing different icons added. Silver Tale is billed as an "innovative experience" and that is certainly true. I dread finishing it. Everything pales beside it. But I wrote this review to encourage people to revisit certain games, as I did this one, and you may be pleasantly surprised at your improved competency or openness to a new experience!
I recommend this game!

Loved their first one and now so happy to have another one. There is so much depth in the illustrations: click a square and flowers appear, turtles swim in the water, and some are "labyrinths" that must be solved. Roman numeral puzzles are once again included and snippets of the cities highlighted in each level. A new feature was added to the artwork: edges and angles rounded off to make more vibrant pictures. Relaxing music, lovely colors, and of course I bought it!
I recommend this game!
