While, I love the Mystery Trackers: Series and thoroughly, enjoyed playing this one ... I do have to agree, with many reviewers, the game was too short. However, Elf is back and I love having him, as my helper!
Too short, is not a problem with me. I do wish, it had been longer, but, in all honesty ... The length, fit the storyline, very well. I also, got the Collector's Edition, so was able to play the Bonus Game or Chapter. This is the mail reason that, I love purchasing the Collector's Editions, the Bonus Game or Chapter and all of the extra special goodies.
There have been multiple "reviews" of what goes on during the game, so, I won't go there. I will say ... I recommend this game, very much. If, you only want to have morphing items, this is not the game for you, because, there isn't any. There are some really good HOSs and Mini-Puzzles. Must admit, I had to Skip, a few of the Mini-Puzzles. The ones I skipped, the Info, just not making sense to me, on how to do the puzzle. Thankfully, there were no Math Puzzles, I do detest them so.
The best thing to do ... Is to Trial or Demo this game, to see, if, you might be interested.
I recommend this game!

I can't wait to get the whole game!!! I want the Collector's Edition, I happen to prefer them.
I have never played any of the Dana Knightstone HOGs. I was pleasantly, surprised and now, want to play ALL of them! As someone else said, "This is a stand alone game." I agree, why? Simply because, I didn't feel as though I was "dropped" into a series, that had lots of background, so that you honestly knew, what really was going on.
The only reason, I haven't purchased this HOG, yet ... I must wait for my monthly check, since, my Hubby and I are on a fixed income. However, come September 10th ... This game is mine. 0:-)
I recommend this game!

OMG ... This series is simply, one of the best. The Raincliff storyline was simply awesome and intriguing. I just LOVE the Mystery Trackers game series.
There is only one small detail, that I did not like in Raincliff ... It was having the Video Collection, instead of a Diary or Journal, so that you know, what your tasks are, for completion. Yes, there are pages of the Brown history, throughout the storyline, but, I would have preferred that, they were in a Diary or Journal, where you could review them.
I also, must mention that, for those who really only care to do HOSs ... They are in here, but, this is also, an Adventure game, as well. This is why, there is a lot of going back and forth, to achieve goals and to advance your game. I found that, Raincliff seemed to have a bit more "back and forth", than I prefer, but, that did NOT stop me, from playing the game!!! I am one of the "best detectives" that the Mystery Trackers has and I love it. :)
I love that I can stop the game, when I need to and when I go back to playing, I am right where I stopped. No having to going back, to get back to where I stopped. This is really, really nice, when you are playing a lengthy game. Raincliff is one of the longer HOAs, that I have played and I enjoy it.
Since, I did purchase the Collector's Edition, I used the Strategy Guide a couple of times. The Guide was well written and I understood what it was, that I needed to do, to complete the "puzzle." Again, when it comes to the "math" puzzles, I either skip or use the Guide.
About the only thing, that I saw in Raincliff, that was part of the first game, The Void ... Is the friendly Hint Frog. He is so cute and is very useful. Otherwise, the two stories are completely different and are not "connected", except for using a Mystery Tracker Detective.
I hope, you have as much enjoyment, as I had, playing this game. I do recommend this series and game, highly. I am now, set and ready to play the next game, in this series Mystery Trackers ... Black Isle Collector's Edition.
I recommend this game!

I do realize that, this game has been out, for a while. Doesn't matter ... A Great Game is to be played, whenever!!! I just played this game, for the first time and wanted those who love HOAs (Hidden Object Adventure) games, that I recommend this one, highly.
WOW ... I am really impressed with The Void, by Elephant Games!!! I just finished the game and loved it. Yes, at the very beginning, I wasn't sure about what was actually going on, with the storyline, but, as my Diary Journal filled, it made total sense and I really got into the mystery of the game and solving it.
The graphics are great. The HOS were wonderfully done, just "busy" enough, but, solvable. At times, I had to turn off my computer desk light, so, that I could see the HOS better. For me, when I have to do that ... It is a good game, with great graphics, in the HOS.
The Mini-Games/Puzzles were well done. Yes, again I will admit that I did have to use the Skip button, a couple of times. For me, this happens in all of my favorite HOAs. I simply, can not do any of the "math" puzzles, never have been able to do them. Thankfully, there are hardly any "math" puzzles, in this game.
There is a bit of going back and forth, to achieve your goals, but, that is the nature of HOAs, these days. It definitely was not excessive, in getting your Inventory, to achieve goals.
Now, I did purchase the Collector's Edition game and I loved playing the Bonus Chapter!!! I love it, when my games have a Bonus Chapter, many times, they are a good "clue", as to what is coming up next, in a series. I also, like having the Strategy Guide, right in the scene and throughout the game. Where you can look at it, without having to minimize your game and open up another window, to view the Strategy Guide. I don't mind the higher cost to purchase the Collector's Edition ... The price is the same, if, you purchase the Standard Edition and the Strategy Guide.
I can't wait to play the next game, in this series. I have purchased the first 5 games, in this series and will purchase the 6th one, next payday. I really do, love this game and the whole concept, of being a mysterious, shadowy detective.
One other thing ... Elephant Games to me, are right up there as excellent developers, just like the Eipix Games and Boom Zap games are. I now know, when I demo a game and it is made by Elephant Games, I will enjoy it. Just as much as I enjoy the Eipix and Boom Zap games.
I recommend this game!

I am just sitting here, shaking my head, in disbelief that a game could be so exciting, fun and anxious, all at once! I had already played the first two in this series and adored them. I literally, was riveted to my seat and simply HAD to complete the games, to get to the next one.
As of now, there aren't any more, but, I am highly suspicious that Sunward Games Developers are already creating a sequel, to this game. Why? Sarah can't be left in Aeronheart. It just doesn't make any sense, for Sarah to be left there ... Somehow, she must get back home or into the future. When, The Secret Order "messes" with Time Events, repercussions happen. This story line could easily go on for ever, in my opinion.
I recommend this game!

I have played all 6 of the games, in the Awakening Series and have enjoyed each and everyone, of them. I am really sad to see, this series end ... But, as someone once said, "All good things come to an end, eventually."
Hail to the Boom Zap Developers, for creating a great series, that I can enjoy time and time, again. I do love, to re-play my favorite HOGs and for me, the Awakening Series is just about the best, that's out there today. I will not go into the story line, too many people have done that already. Playing this series was just pure joy, for me and that is what I wanted to share.
I recommend this game!

This game, took me to a place of pleasure, that I haven't experienced in a long time, with a HOG!!! First of all, I am a "Wussy", when it comes to dark, evil, stuff, I tend to not want to watch these kinds of movies or play these type of games, either. BOY ... Was I every surprised!!! This game is awesome!!!
Two themes were combined, to "spark" my interest, completely. First theme ... A mystery! I love it when a game, has a mystery, to it. Second Theme ... Finding how to "kill" the bad, evil demon, in the story.
The graphics were outstanding and not that, "scary." I was worried, since, I am a complete "Wuss" ... But, I was surprised how the bad, evil demon was made with some wonderful computer graphics programming, so that, I wasn't "scared."
The music was just right, for the game. Suspenseful enough, without being spooky or corny. I also, like that the music didn't play loud, at times, so I wasn't startled out my seat. Yes, I was startled several times, during the game. However, I was never frightened or scared silly, just a "fun" startle.
I have finally gotten use to HOGs, being just more than HO Scenes. When, "collecting' items, to advance the game, first started, several years ago ... I wasn't too happy. I have now, gotten use to them and actually, look forward to playing the "new" HOGs. About the only Mini-Games that I detest, are the Sudoku type games or any Mini-Games that deals with math. Never have liked those and never will. I just "skip" over them and move on. Thankfully, there are only one or two of those type, in this game.
For those who may be a "Wuss", like me ... I would suggest trialing this game, first. I did it that way and learned that the game was NOT "scary", at all. In fact, I purchased the CE version, of this game and loved it.
Sometimes, the going back and forward, can be frustrating, to me. If, the advancement isn't that bad, meaning, that you only go back a couple of clicks or forward with a couple of clicks, that I can handle. I don't like when the clicking is about 10 clicks, to get to where you need to be, to finish the goal. Must admit, it wasn't bad, in this game. There were a couple of times, when the clicking forward or backwards, was annoying, but, mostly it was just a click or two or three.
I have already played the second game, Black Water Curse and am getting ready to play the third game ... Three Guardians. I am looking forward to it, too.
I do recommend this game. It is a great game to play, not that "scary", wonderful graphics and good music. Oh, before I forget ... The Voice Overs were just right. The voices matched the character, very well. I like it, when there are Voice Overs, but, not to many, just enough to keep the story going.
I recommend this game!

I can only say ... OMG!!! This is the second in the series of the Mystery of the Ancients and I loved this game, as much as I loved the first game, Lockwood Manor. I did purchase, the CE version, for both games, as well as the third game, Three Guardians and I am so glad that, I did ... The Bonus Games are just an added aspect to the game, that continued the story line.
HO scenes would good, overall. Towards the middle of the game, the HOs became different, something that I personally, have not played in that manner. Instead of just finding an item whether by a word or picture, a picture was at the bottom and you had to find the object, so that you could "Interact" with the scene, by playing the found item. At first, I honestly did not know what to do. I kept clicking on the item, but, I couldn't get anything to work. So, I had to "cheat", since, the instructions throughout this game are not always clear, until you know what to do. I looked at the Guide, so that I could get some clarity. I was pleased, with the difference. It challenged me and I like that.Again, I don't ever remember those kinds of HOs, in my playing of the HOGs. I have played a lot of them, too!!!
I was concerned, that this game maybe a bit, too scary? I was also, concerned with that ... In the Lockwood Manor. Again, I had no problem, with the graphics or the startled moments, throughout the game. I think, because the game is just that a game, without lots of horrid graphics. Just normal ones, showing a fast, moving black spirit, every once in awhile ... Or glowing eye(s) ... Or Runes that will glow, when working on a Mini-game ...Or Spheres that glow, when you collect them.
I almost forgot to mention ... The Voice Overs were great!!! They fit in, with the story line and the "Actors or Production Staff" did reflect the right tone of voice, for the character speaking. I really, really, really like that, too!!! The background music was very pleasant, over all. You knew, it was there, but, it never interfered with the game or your game playing. I do hate it, when the music gets so loud that, you almost come out of your seat. I didn't find this situation, at all, with this game.
The Creators/Developers of this series, the Mystery of the Ancients, are doing a great job, with these games. I am duly impressed and so glad, that I decided to "take the plunge" and trialed the first game, Lockwood Manor ... Just to see, if I could handle the subject matter, as well as the graphics. Yes, I am a "Wussy" and readily admit it! I can only say, try this game out, if, you are a "Wussy" like me. I think, you will be as pleasantly surprised, as I was!!!
Now, on to the third game ... Mystery Of The Ancients: Three Guardians CE version. I am really excited, to start the new game, too!!!
I recommend this game!

I am so glad, that I did purchase the Collector's Edition, for the Awakening: Sunhook Spire game. I love it, like I have loved all of the Awakening games. I played the Bonus Game and I am so glad, that I did! At the end, you know that there will be at least one more Awakening game ... Queen Sophia is on her way to the Redfern(?) Forest, to look for other means, to awaken her parents.
I just can't wait, until this new game, comes out. I am so impressed with Boom Zap developers and applaud them, for a wonderful, terrific game series. They have left just enough "cliffhangers", to keep you going. Trust me, this is NOT the Awakening Kingdom game ... This will be another, in the series, to either complete the series or to add another chapter, in the series.
Again, I am anxiously waiting for the next game, in this series.
I recommend this game!

I dearly LOVE the Awakenings game series. I can't wait for the new one, that the Awakening: The Sunhook Spire game, tells you about, when you complete the game. There isn't a name for the "new" Awakening game, but, the basic plot is talked about. The Awakening Kingdoms is NOT that game. There is, at least, one more game of Queen Sophia in the Awakening game series.
I was so very, very disappointed, in this free game Awakening Kingdoms. This game is nothing like the real Awakening games ... Nothing, at all. Basically, I played this game, for a couple of hours and bottom line ... hated it. At first, I thought ... Okay, this is definitely different, give it a chance. But, when I got to the point, where I had to purchase, with real money, some things to continue the game ... I said, NO ... That's it!!!
I don't recommend this game.
