I don't understand the reviews. I enjoy the dragon game and I really like this mystery, also. I don't know if they are similar, but they sure look a lot different to me. It takes work to make these games. I am enjoying it. I like the little bit of hidden objects thrown in, also. If there are similarities, I don't care. How many ways can you make the match-3 mechanics, anyway?
I guess I shouldn't have, but I got this game anyway, because the graphics were charming. I liked the card backs and fronts, etc. Used a free coupon. But then I haven't played all of their other games that much, so maybe if I had.....
I am giving it the benefit of a doubt. I can see that a lot of time has been put into making this game. It has potential and I bought it. I love this type of game. You can't go by the first pictures. The game gets really intricate and challenging with hundreds of pixels on each picture, more than I have seen on other games. But it has some down sides, too. I haven't run across the option of filling in large areas at one time, though there might be. And the large pictures will take a long time, yet if you get out of the game after doing part of a picture, and back in, my picture disappeared and I had to start over! Not a good thing. So be prepared to finish a picture in one session or keep the game on the screen until you can go back and finish the picture. But since it is keeping me interested enough to play, I am giving it a 3.
Just finished the game, colored all the pictures. I love to color and so I really enjoyed it, however it could be improved. In Pixel Art, you can color multiple areas at once, plus you can accidentally color the wrong piece, making it more challenging. The pictures could be prettier, too. I am glad that the tiny areas can be enlarged, though, and that the number of the piece shows up when you hover over an area, so that you can see the correct number of the area. It could be made more interesting, but I did enjoy it a lot. But I am glad see another painting game here.
I like cute games like this one, but I don't like the relaxed mode here. When you choose relaxed mode and go out of the game, then play it again, it starts back at the beginning. I guess it doesn't save your progress in relaxed mode. But it is a good game.
I like this game. The jewel icons could be prettier, but it has some nice features, especially the powerups which are actually gods who animate when you click on them to help you. That was a nice surprise. You have to unlock them first before you can use them, by building their statues. And I like how it shows the levels and the locks falling off before you do each level. I usually choose the relaxed mode, so no problem with the limited moves or timing. If you like match-3's, you might like it.
