I think I expected this game to be about matchmaking by letting people talk to each other, selecting the right options for things they should say, inviting them on dates...like a sort of dating sim game. It's nothing like that. In fact, it's really quite boring and very linear.
It's essentially just another, rehashed, level game. where you have to try and get expert scores by clicking things. You can't even decide on the upgrades in this one - you just seem to get one automatically each level.
The 'matching' is like the card game Patience. You click a girl to see her interest and try to find the matching man. Very simple but also very dull.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend this...but I don't really like the linear/level style games on here. If you like basic time management, 'click-a-lot' style games, you may find this interesting. It is at least slightly different with the matching part.
I don't recommend this game.

At first glance, I thought I was just playing Monopoly and was a bit disappointed. However, while similar, it's a lot more involved and more exciting than Monopoly - thanks to the trade aspect of the game, upgrading vehicles and the tasks/goals. I'm probably not making it sound all that fun, but trust me, it's awesome :) I don't even particularly like board games and I still loved this!
A great little feature is that you can get a snapshot of information about the places you're buying. For example, if you land on the Space Needle in Seattle, you can click the info button and get some information. It's not too lengthy, just a couple of lines telling you the most important information. I learnt quite a bit playing this game!
So far, I've only played the Campaign mode vs AI players. However, there is the facility to create your own games and play against other people.
The only criticism I have is that the Campaign mode was too easy and far too short. After I completed New York, I was expecting another 3 or more cities and was sorely disappointed to find the game was at an end. There is some replay value - and I guess for families, it would be great as they can play one another in the Custom mode. I personally felt a bit short-changed though!
I recommend this game!

This game's style is similar to Chocolatier. You buy supplies, make stuff, sell stuff, travel for new supplies, etc. However, chocolate is nice - lots of people like chocolate - but dinner plates?! I don't know how anybody even came up with the idea, let alone thought it would be a good basis for a computer game. I loved Chocolatier, but I just can't seem to muster the same enthusiasm to make dinner plates.
The graphics are horrible in full screen (though not too bad windowed). The mini-games to set production amounts are really boring and simple so far. I'm not sure I can bear to play much more to see if they improve.
It also seems quite buggy so far. For example, during the Tutorial, a box pops up when you need to buy something and in order to complete the step, you have to click 'I know how to play' and bypass the tutorial.
The loading screen when travelling to new cities seems unnecessarily long for such shoddy graphics. I think the actual loading is taking far less time but the little graphic of the train hooting has to be played out.
Erm, anyway. Not much more to say. Hopefully there are some dinner plate fanatics out there who will cherish this game. Otherwise, I fear that the makers may have rather wasted their time.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is one of the few on here that's really, really good. It has the length and depth to make it excellent value for money. You can spend hours & hours on this game. There are plenty of goals and quests and the game isn't too linear - you can take your own course.
I recommend this game!

I'd played 'My Life Story' and really enjoyed it. From experience, I would say that sequels generally aim to improve and expand from their predecessors. This is far from the case here. This sequel is more like a toddler's version of the original, a dumbed down, over-simplified and pretty linear game. You don't have to use your brain on this one. I
Having said all that, if you don't compare this to the original and think of it as an entirely new game, it's fairly enjoyable. You just don't have to use your brain much and it doesn't last long.
I don't recommend this game.

I don't like Hidden Object games normally so this was a pleasant surprise.
There's a fair amount of strategy involved in this game. You don't just visit a scene and start working your way through a list of hidden objects - you actually get to decide what you search for.
You're only allowed to pick 6 items to take back to your shop to sell - so it's great fun trying to choose the items that will be most valuable. There's also a 'Hot Topic' each day, which adds a bit of a challenge trying to complete the full set. You can also find items that are part of a set. Trying to find the second parts was a lot of fun.
Like all the games on here though, it's too short and pretty basic. I'm always left feeling slightly disappointed and wishing the games could just be a bit longer and more involved. Still...it was fun for a good few hours :)
I recommend this game!

This game was great fun - but it only took a couple of hours to complete. More depth and choice would have been nice. You can have kids but couldn't do anything with them.
A more serious, involved version of this would be amazing! As it stands, I wouldn't recommend paying full price for this. It's just far too short.
