If you enjoy TM games and in particular were a fan of the Roads of Rome series, then this is for you. There's nothing particularly ground breaking or new here (except the little history learning nuggets!), but that's why we love it - a dependable game that provides hours of fun. The only slight niggle, as others have suggested, is the repetitive voice in the background - Please can we have less of this in future games.

I love a New Yankee game and chances are if you are a fan of the genre you will enjoy it too. A fun time management game that's achievable without being too easy. Nothing overly new here, but that's also what makes it enjoyable!

Like many of the other reviewers, I have Northern Tales 1 - 5 and play them often, but this is definitely a huge step down. The graphics seem to have taken a big step backwards and the gameplay is really slow - I got bored waiting for my Viking to run around and collect what was needed. Such a shame as this was an excellent series up until this point.
Based on the Adelanto series, this time management game is addictive! I don't normally review games, but just had to add my 5 stars to this. The game play is spread out and unlike your average time management game, isn't as linear - you get to build your little towns organically around your homebase and beyond to ensure you have the materials needed to complete each level. This gives you a variety of options as to how you approach each level. I can't wait for the second game!
