This game holds up extremely well despite not being born yesterday. Neither was I, so I feel as though I can recognize a game with a quest for excellence in all facets.
If this review gets printed in the standard edition of the game, I strongly urge you to consider the collector's edition -- it's well worth the additional cost.
The Artists should be given awards for their fine work here. The atmosphere gets immersive quickly and stays that way throughout this cool game due to the perfect use of the media (at this point!). And painterly effects always make me look close -- and smile.
This was released on the morning of the day I received my first vaccine shot for C-19 and I got stuck on level 134. Swelling and redness are now gone, as is level 134. No complaining though; I really loved the entire game as well as Summer and Autumn and Halloween marbles. Join me please in a wish for Spring to arrive soon.
I swim with the fish that have regretted the recent entries in this one-time terrific series. Now we have something to grab back onto: PuppetShow - The Curse of Ophelia.
The mechanics and the like have been described quite well by others here. Can't rate the music (muted it) and if I'm looking for a real good story I typically read a really good book.
This is a very cool game, with detailed (which means fun for me) art in every scene, plenty of HOS and some cleverly-designed puzzles. .
Didn't turn up the music, set my own level of challenge using Custom settings. I enjoyed the storyline, although if I want a terrific story I typically buy a book.
Someday I may add the CE to my collection; if it's even more fun than this one it has to be up there with the best.
How disappointed I am that I purchased this game, albeit with a discount coupon. Love the newish BigFish logo and of course the wonderful Eipix intro, always exciting to see as it typically signals a fun and well-rendered game.
This game is neither. From the increasingly annoying sounds resulting from a simple mouse rollover to the white boxes around the scenes; these deckled-edge frames look cool in print, but they act as a real barrier to immersion in the scenes. And those scenes lack the wonderful detail that I'd come to savor and rely on from these folks.
New Year's Eve, so I won't be playing another game until next year. It most assuredly will be more fun than this awful entry in your otherwise excellent selections.
I don't recommend this game.

I bought the CE of this game last year, which I enjoyed very much; it immediately went into my "PlayAgainSometime" folder.
Others have written comprehensive reviews regarding the specifics of this entry into the Sable Maze series, and I just wanted to stop in and add my enthusiastic five stars. This game certainly merits them.
Graphics were absolutely terrific in this game and it was a lot of fun... right up until I began reacting to the advertising that clutters the game, ruining any immersion. Terrible idea, in my view, to force your customers to see advertising between every screen change; this is certainly the result of some misguided marketing person. This disappoints me more than a little, as I own most of the others in this Fear for Sale series -- which has now ended.
I don't recommend this game.

I believe that pennmom36's review of Shtriga: Summer Camp hits the nail on the head; I'd like to refer you to that, and only add my opinion that you'll be back to this Summer Camp sometime -- it has a very high "play-again-sometime" factor.

Had a lot of fun playing this one and I'm certain I'll play it again. Really outstanding artwork, plenty of HOs, custom level, transporting map and a small assistant that is entertaining rather than cloying. I found this to be an exceptional episode in the very cool Witches' Legacy series and I highly recommend it to HOG devotees.
