I've never used so many hints! It was so difficult to know where to go next. The magnifying glass kept showing up everywhere, even when there was nothing to do in that area.
I can't recommend this game. Just not fun. I loved all the other Dark Parables games, but I wish I hadn't purchased this one. You'll need to decide for yourself. Could have been so much better.
I don't recommend this game.

This was a nice long game, but it probably seemed so long because some of the play was very frustrating. The illogical use of inventory items left me scratching my head. Also, the hint system was just terrible. I rarely use hints but this game was truly challenging and I did need hints a couple of times. All I was told was "There's nothing to do here" or "I'd better go somewhere else". I had to refer to the walk through twice because of this. Much of the game just didn't make sense. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because much of it was very good, including the graphics and level of challenge. This game is a few years old, so I think ERS has learned a lot about what players want in a game since this one came out. Other ERS games I've played recently were much more logical.
I recommend this game!

4 1/2 stars! Can't give it 5 because the puzzles weren't quite challenging enough. The storyline was ho-hum but I never really care about the story. I just like to play the game!
One thing I really liked was the way they portrayed the characters. One of them had just gotten out of bed and he even had a bedhead! Really got a kick out of that.
Music could have been better but I don't take away stars for music, just as I don't take them away for a lame story. Voiceovers were fantastic! Eipix is using some great actors in their games. I'm starting to recognize some of the male voices from all the Eipix games I've played.
I think most players will love this one! Nice length, too!
I recommend this game!

I've played all the Danse Macabre games except one (will start that one next) and all of them before this one were nice, lengthy games. I think I finished this in half the time and that was playing in the most difficult mode. Also, there are very few puzzles and they're too easy.
Come on, Eipix. I know you can do much better! I'm still recommending it because what there was of it was fun.

This game actually has some challenging puzzles. I'll admit I had to skip one, which I almost never do. Worked on it for at least an hour and finally gave up. That means this game gets 5 stars from me because the challenge is most important. Lots of things to do in this game and it has good length. Hats off to ERS! Now, on to the next Grim Facade. I'm going to play them all.
I recommend this game!

This game had everything I look for: it was challenging (on the hardest difficulty), graphics were great, game had nice length, voice overs some of the best, music was fine, puzzles were fun, and HOS's had some items that were very difficult to find. No complaints at all. Eipix has done it again!

Eipix did a nice job with this one, including some very beautiful music, which always adds a lot to a game for me.
I have no complaints about any aspect of this game. I liked it all. Puzzles were fun, nice HOS's, great graphics, etc. Voiceovers were good, too. Could have been a little longer, but not bad.

I had quit purchasing ERS games because they were all too easy and predictable. This one caught my eye, however, and I decided to give ERS another try. Sure glad I did. This game was good from the beginning, but got better & better as it went on. A LONG game for me, but part of that is because I very rarely use hints. My goal in playing these is to figure things out on my own. That's the fun, and it's a good workout for my brain. Having said this, I used the hint button twice, which means it wins big points for challenging me.
In my opinion, ERS has the best music in their games. It's not usually annoying, and I like how it changes with different scenes. Music can add so much to games!
So, ERS has won me back for now, but it's still tied with Eipix. Let's hope the next game is just as good!

This game has it all, including nice music that changed from scene to scene. Puzzles were mostly good, graphics excellent, voiceovers (with a heavy accent that was amusing) were fun, and I even enjoyed the HOS's.
I loved the way Eipix has us improvise with different inventory items. I've always wondered why most developers make you use the exact item (screwdriver, knife, etc.) to perform different actions, when another item will work just as well. The developers really turned it up a notch in this game, so try your inventory items in odd places because it might just pay off for you.
Great game! I'm at the point where I automatically buy all Eipix games now. No need to try them out first.
I recommend this game!

Puzzles are my favorite part of these games. This game has quite a few but most are ridiculously easy. The two puzzles that convinced me to give this game 5 stars are the ones where you have to figure out several different steps before the puzzle is solved. You figure out one, which leads you to the next step, which leads you to the next step, etc. These take me a while because I almost never succumb to using the hint button. Elephant Games are usually very good. This one is no exception. More of these complicated puzzles, please!
