Love Chronicles are some of my favorite games, but this once left a lot to be desired. The HOS was not particularly interesting, the puzzles were just ok with only one or two hard ones, and the stoyline was average. There was way too much going back and forth between screens to complete tasks and this felt like a lazy move on the developer's behalf to make the game go longer. It became frustrating rather than fun. This would probably be a good game for someone starting out, not some one more experienced.
This was a quirky tale with stunning graphics and great gameplay. I thought the storyline was original and well thought out, though I did feel towards the end there was a lot of going backwards and forward between scenes to make the game go a little longer. I would happily pick this one up again and play again in the future.
I loved this, from beginning to end! The story was really interesting, the puzzles were original and fun. There was lots of problem solving and a handful of HOS. While the HOS were not difficult, the graphics were stunning and I loved the music. The puzzles had a good mix of hard, medium and easy, and the length of the game was just right. This one is a keeper, and I will be playing it again!
Someone has stolen two powerful magic doves from your kingdom, and the consequences could be disastrous. Embark on an extraordinary journey to stop the thief.
I had a delightful time playing this game. It was very quirky in it's make up and I loved that. The story was fantasy based and a little unusual in it's graphics which made it fun.
The HOS were pretty standards, and the puzzles were quite similar in design (and not based where my problem solving strengths lie), but I loved it all the same.
The music was good, graphics were fun, overall gameplay was excellent. More than happy to keep this one in my collection to play again.
This was a quirky spin on the Cinderella tale, but it was great fun and good value for money. There were some fun and imaginative fantasy monsters. The length was just right, the puzzles interesting, the HOS were excellent with a few variations on how to complete them, and the game was not too linear in it's approach. I would happily play this one again!
I love, love, love the SOM series. I have played all the games so I was very excited when this came out! It was, however, just not up to scratch, and even worse, I paid the $ for the CE.
This games was designed to be beautiful, not functional. The HOS were incredibly easy. The puzzles while imaginative were on the easy side as well. There was not enough to do on each page, and there was a lot of back and forth which felt like it was designed that way to make the game go longer (it was a very short game). This game was seriously lacking, and it just ended in an incredibly abrupt fashion.
Unfortunately I will be thinking twice before buying a game in the SOM collection again :(
The mystical Silver Arrow has been stolen from you on the eve of your wedding. Without it, you can’t marry your beloved Prince Philip! Can you track down the arrow in time?
There is something about this game that gave me the irrits. I can't pinpoint quite what is was but the game just did not feel quite right. It was a bit of a mix between trying to be adult and trying to be child like. I had played 2 other SOM games before this one, but I just did not gel with the storyline, puzzles or games in this one. I would reviews this game as being a good filler if you are wanting something to kill some time.
This game is very HOS heavy, which is fine if that is how you like your games. I prefer more puzzles thrown inbetween my HOS scenes and puzzles were few and far between. Not a bad game, just not great.
After playing SOM: Song of the phoenix I was dubious this could be just as good. I would say this game was on par.
It starts out fairly simple, but as the game moves on the puzzles become more complex. The graphics were good, the music was great, and I loved the concept of collecting the different elemental animals - though I would have liked for them to be used a little more during the game.
The only thing I would say is that about the 2/3 way mark in the game you suddenly encounter a LOT of HOS. Which is fine, but I prefer my HOS more spread out.
Overall this game was fun, clever and something different. Would definitely play again!
I was looking forward to this after playing Royal Detectivake: Statues. While the graphics were pretty and the music were ok, the game play was easy and quite obvious, even on a difficult setting. I have played better HOGs with better puzzles and HOS. This one was not for me.
