I loved this game from playing it in the trial run. As a beginner to this type of timed game, this game made me confident. I had tried other games of this type and became frustrated. Now I have moved on and bought 2 and 3 in this series. This is the only series I have gotten every game in the series. This is a great starter to the series. 2 is more challenging and 3 is rather hard. The only cons to the game I think are when you build your home up bit by bit; It ends far too quickly; Then you do not have this fun aspect of the game anymore unless you start over. They also really push you to build for your well being. The other parts of the game are putting 3 parts of the cakes together and the fun of adding drink machines, cotton candy, popcorn with the money you earn.
This game has now made confident enough to move onto other more hard games of the same type. as well as the steps up to more challenge in the 2nd and 3rd levels of Cake Shop games.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game like another reviewer stated since it was a Daily deal and loved it when I played it on the trial. It has 2 modes of play. I have been playing it on relaxed and, but will try the harder way when I go around the 2nd time. I love how this game is different than many other match 3's. It is an adventure game where you sail around as Mary Ann in a little ship. You journey around the ocean to discover items a ship needs such as sextants and barrels of tar. I think this is the best part of the game to me anyway. But there are dangers along the way, instead of finding the items to help you on your journey you will also run into enemies. Other ships and bad monster like sea creatures. You then have to do the match 3 aspect where disk tiles against the opposition, taking turns until you win or lose. Now I know some people do not like match-3 battles so this will not be for them. It is just nice for me to have a different style of match- 3. Another thing I love is having to fill a numbered board grid in different squares, with your seamen. They dig to get other items needed for the journey and gold. You can also gold treasure as your ship moves along in the sea on the adventure. On relaxed mode, the game seems rather easy. (Why a 3 not a 5) Will see on the harder way of playing how much more difficult it is. I think kids would like this game also played on relaxed mode. I love the sounds the game has, though I never play the music so I do not know about that.
I recommend this game!

A match 3 game:
Save the poor kitties the Aliens have trapped in the cage. Fun light hearted be happy game. Relaxing play with a lot of bells and whistles and actions. I love the sounds of the explosions. Kids also would love this game.
The Aliens try all kind of devious things to keep you from rescuing the kittens. You match items like milk in bottles and canned kitty food.
Your rescued kittens are put in settings like beach and forest. They all have cute names and biographies. (Which are funny and make me laugh.)They play, flip somersaults and walk around their little enclosures; It is such stress- relieving and fun to watch their antics. I sometimes watch them and skip the game part.I even made a list on paper with their names and descriptions to learn them so I could tell which cat was which. All the cats have different personalities you can see as you watch them.
You purchase toys in the shop and play with the cats. I especially love how they pounce on the little wind-up mice you let loose. Hearts are used for their up and down moods. Things will make the Kitties have fewer hearts like having a cold. You can use toys to lift their Spirits until they get a higher heart count. They love being brushed.
The only thing about the game I am disappointed with is that you buy the approx. 8-10 toys, and at least for me, I cannot find anything more to use my coins on. The reason I gave the game a 4 instead of a 5.
I recommend this game!

This game is a lot of bang for your buck. So many levels. I have played and played and maybe I am replaying levels, but it seems like the never ending game which I love about it. You do have to find the objects in this game, but I love the matching object style and play with this. I love all the different cool items you have to match and the many different ways it is played for you to do this. Black and Color, Match 3 and the hard one for me compete against the computer name where you try to match more to win the level than the computer does. This is only 3 of the ways you are given to play.
I love the levels with single objects. Some levels are matching beautiful old coin mixtures or exquisitely decorated eggs.
Most levels have a variety of items. I Like that objects will be a toy or collectible I had at one time. Great memories.
There is a 2 different manner of puzzles every few levels. I like them, but sometimes just want to do the clutter matching aspect of the game so skip them. (You can replay and have the opportunity to do them anyway.) The Mini Game puzzles are slide strip picture puzzles. Not too hard, though some are harder than others. The other mini game is placing text blocks in the correct colored boxes to spell out words or phrases to fit the story line.
Graphics may be dull to some, but I like the retro feel and look of them. I ignore the storyline. Not my cup of tea. Am not much of storyline person anyway. Just want to play the game.
Others and those that like storylines may find the girl trying to find her way in life and build her self -esteem (Especially younger girls) very inspiring and touching. Somewhat silly at my age. In spite of this, I love the game so much and play it a lot. It is one of my top games.
I do not listen to the music while playing games so that is something I cannot review.
I recommend this game!

Someone gave me a laptop with this game already purchased on it. When that computer gave out, I had to get the game on my new computer since I loved it so much. This game is rather different than others. You can change the manner you explode the match 3 sections. You can change the board's design with different shapes and play. There are cool hidden object scenes where you restore artifacts by finding the objects in pieces, then you have to discover where the object is supposed to go in each scene. A lot of fun here. The match 3 part of the game is easy, but the hidden object scenes are harder and the tiny pieces hard to spot. There are hints to help though, you just wait Many would like the story line I am sure, but I usually skip it in many games so I cannot go into that much, but it appears to be a great one. I love the sounds the game makes with the explosions and bigger chains. I love the power ups and the encouragement when you make a long chain. The graphics may not be up to par for some game players, but I have no complaint about them, though I like stunning graphics, and have bought a couple HOG's mainly for said graphics, but with this game and with many games this is no big deal to me. I suggest you try the trial if that is an important aspect to you. I play this game off and on among my other games. It is a great stress reliever game. I am on the 3rd time through but will play it over and over. I may have the HOS scenes memorized after some time, but each match-3 board will never get old for the relaxed mood it brings me.
I recommend this game!

This is one of the first Match 3's I bought. The first games I purchased were chosen for the relaxed state I get playing them. I play them in the evening after a hard day. The images are stunning. The gems are a feast for the eyes.Rich, bright and dreamy. The sounds the game makes while playing provide such stress relief. There are harder modes to play the game in which I may try sometime since I do know I will play this more than once. For now, I like the easy play in relaxed mode. There are beautiful wall- papers you unlock as you move along. There are some simple HOG's mini games and it is fun to plant seeds, grow flowers, water and keep bugs away from them. Oh, and you also get to build and design your castle. I do not follow storylines much, but this one seems simple and not overwhelming. There are power-ups that help your play if you get stuck. This is a game with suspended boards that you go to different rooms by following arrows pointed to the next one after you finish a room. I know some people are not big on this style of game, so try the trial first. I also have snowscapes match 3 in this series, but like this one much better. I will most likely purchase a couple more of this series after reading reviews and trying them out.
I recommend this game!

I have only got into video games starting a little over a year ago. I had seen my kids play these build up places games and thought I could never figure them out. I first did M3's, but finally thought I had nothing to lose with at least trying one of these TM games; When I read and I saw the subject of the game with so many 5* reviews, I decided to at least try it. I was hooked by level 3 and decided to get it. I have played other games of this type and bought a couple more, but this one is still my favorite. I am planning on getting the rest in the series off and on. I also liked that this had a walkthrough for a beginner like me which I needed a few times. I never listen to the music on any games, so I am not a judge on that aspect.but really enjoy what the workers say and the sounds made while building. Your workers also do some bartering with characters in the game which is humorous and fun. I think the graphics of this game are a delight. The way the tasks change on different levels makes me look forward to progressing to the next level. Where I am at now you procure gold, wood, food, happiness and now even fish caught by the workers. I now consider myself an "intermediate" player and am looking forward to how the challenge grows in later levels with this game. I also want to add that the game loads really well (for me anyway) in a quick time frame.
I recommend this game!
