A Mystery Case files game that was fun, close to the early games and had a good story. This is what I've wanted in Mystery Case for a long time. it even had super puzzles. If you are a fan of the early games I think you will like this one. Dare I hope for another good one come Thanksgiving?
I recommend this game!

This game does not feel like a Mystery Case files game. When did the Master Detective start working for someone with an American accent? The story is boring. I didn't care about any of the characters in this game. This game is only one step above Mystery Case Files Shadow Lake, because that game was beyond awful. Most of the puzzles were ok. I don't even care enough to play the bonus game. Mystery Case Files and Thanksgiving go together and I always look forward to the newest installment but it's been a while since I wasn't disappointed. At the end of the game a villain states something to the effect of you haven't seen the last of me Master Detective...I sincerely hope we have. I am an advanced player but the main game maybe took me 4 hours to complete on the highest difficulty level. It is BOGO so I don't feel cheated but I certainly was not entertained. I had low expectations before beginning the game, but they were not low enough.
I don't recommend this game.

It's not the worst MCF, for me that is still Shadow Lake, but the storyline never drew me in. I still couldn't tell you much about the story line. The game is extremely short. I played on the hardest level and only skipped the second portion of the last puzzle because I thought it was tedious and it may have taken 4 hours to complete. It may have been less as I played it over two days. If you don't like puzzles, and you skip them, this game will go very quick. I just started the bonus portion of the game but it's in the past , so not sure you need the Collector Edition. The collectables were ok, but nothing to pay extra for. I got this over a BOGO weekend, but I would have been unhappy had I paid two game credits for this. MCF is a Thanksgiving tradition but in recent years I've learned to lower my expectations so I am not disappointed.
I recommend this game!

As many have stated, this is not an MCF game. It has past MCF characters but I honestly felt like I was playing a Redemption Cemetery game and I haven't played one of those in years. There is no fun or interesting mystery. The puzzles are so easy and the lack of Rube Goldberg puzzles is beyond disappointing. If this is the best they can do, maybe it's time to retire MCF. I think next Thanksgiving I will just play an old MCF game. Even with bogo, I don't think this game is worth it. The only game in the series this is better than is Shadow Lake because that game was abysmal! save your money and your time.
I don't recommend this game.

I was surprised to see a Mystery Case game before Thanksgiving. After reading other reviews I gave this a try and I absolutely love it! It is puzzle heavy, which I love. The puzzles aren't impossible and I liked the storyline and all the items from past Mystery Case games. If you don't likle puzzles, this may not be the game for you. Give it a try though, you might be surprised.

As a fan of the Mystery Case Files games, I used to look forward to Thanksgiving for my yearly fix. The storyline for the game is below average, not up to Ravenhurst or Madame Fate, and the bonus chapter is a complete waste of time and not necessary to the game. For a once a year franchise, this is just nothing special. I love puzzles but found the majority of the puzzles to be boring and easy. I don't really recommend this game. It has taken me almost 2 weeks to finish because I just didn't care about the characters or the game. Maybe next year I will just replay the older Myster Case Games so I won't be disappointed.

This is a below average game. Really disappointed. The story is meh at best, the puzzles are too easy and the bonus game is totally unnecessary and short.
I don't recommend this game.

If this is the best game the developers could create, it's time to retire the Mystery Case Files series. This game is extremely short. I played the Collector's Edition on the "hard" level and it only took me 4 hours to finish the game and I wasn't trying to hurry through it. There are no super puzzles and there are not any good puzzles. The HO scenes are ho hum. The bonus game is worthless and a complete waste of the 10 minutes it took to complete it. I bought this during a 2 for 1 sale and I really wish I'd passed this up. Avoid this game unless you get it free and you are really desperate to waste a few hours.
I don't recommend this game.

Other reviewers have covered the details of the game. For me, it was ok but nothing special. The bonus game is a prequel and added nothing to the story so I recommend you skip the CE and buy the SE.

I'm glad I gave this game a try after reading the reviews. I love puzzles and this game is geared towards puzzles. If you prefer random HO scenes, this game may not be for you. I played on the insane level and it took me a week of playing a few hours a day to figure out all the puzzles without help. What a fun change from the regular HO games. I've completed the main game and am now on the bonus chapter which is a prequel so not really necessary if you want to save a credit choosing the SE. Use the free trial and give it a try. You might be surprised.
I recommend this game!
