After completing the first game in the series I was really looking forward to this one.
Completed the full game including the bonus chapter with all achievements.
The visuals and sound are really well presented, it's obvious a lot of care went into making this game. The storyline was also very interesting and engaging. The level of challenge was perfect.
This review is based on the full version of the game.
Fully completed, including bonus chapter, all bonus objects (cute little dragons) with all achievements.
Considering it's an older game it holds up really well. You can see the love the developers poured into this. Visually very polished, stunning artwork and great music. I found myself hooked on this game and couldn't wait to carry on playing it as soon as I had some free time. Great pacing and not at all confusing like some other hidden object games. I completed the game without using any hints, the strategy guide did come in handy for some of the puzzles but found the level of challenge just right. Lot's of hidden object scenes and really nice puzzles.
Completion time including bonus chapter was around six hours, which I found to be a perfect length.
There are nine games in this series (so far!), and luckily I have already invested in the next eight - so onto the next one, can't wait! One of the best developers. Thank you :-)
Based on the full collector's edition. I've been finding the time to play this over the last few weeks, the art is simply stunning! Finally completed the game today including the bonus chapter. lots of hidden object scenes, great puzzles and environments that blew me away. Lot's of achievements, extras and morphing objects to find as well as coins to find to upgrade your pet house. Another triumph for Friendly Fox. Onto the next one now :-)
I've been playing Big Fish Games for many years and am well used to the usual adventure type hidden object game. This one was a breath of fresh air, all the best bits without the constant backtracking. The visuals and animations are lovely, as is the soundtrack. The pacing was just right and really enjoyed the story. Lot's of hidden objects to find and lots of great puzzles. Particularly enjoyed earning coins to upgrade the family home, although another playthrough will be in order to get enough coins to finish it, which, with a game this good I really don't mind! Played the game to completion and the bonus chapter, definitely looking forward to the next release (I've just tested the beta version, shaping up very nicely!). Delightful :-)
I've owned this game since release and finally got round to completing it. Considering it's small file size it's a very polished game, with great visual effects and some really catchy music. It's certainly challenging to complete the later levels with the time limit, but found myself quite addicted and that one-more-go keeping me playing for hours on end. I can now see the gems whirling round in my head every time I close my eyes... Considering how long ago this was released it still holds up well in 2024 and runs perfectly on Windows 11. Definitely recommend.
I've had this game since it was released and just got round to playing it. My review is based on the full game. It took me around 7 hours in total to complete the main game and bonus chapter (the bonus chapter is basically the rest of the game). The graphics and artwork are stunning and I was kept engaged throughout my playthrough. The hidden object scenes were challenging, and it was fun finding the squirrels throughout the main game (some of the blighters were very well hidden!). My only gripe, and I guess this is because it's and older game remastered is that the game ended quite abruptly with no fanfare or nice ending, if it had a more developed story this would definitely be a 5 star game. Looking forward to playing the whole series to see how it evolves. Definitely recommend playing.
This review is based on the full game. I've had this since release but only just got round to playing it. The visuals are beautiful and very well done. I completed the main game without using any hints at all and it took me around 5.5 hours and was completely engaged throughout. The hidden object scenes are very well done with a good level of challenge and it was fun finding all the squirrels (some of the blighters were very tricky to find!). I know this is an old game remastered so the story may not be as developed as newer games but found it ended rather abruptly and the bonus chapter was basically the rest of the game. I love a good ending and if it had that it would definitely be 5 stars. Well worth playing either way, onto the next one now :-)
I played through the original game many years ago. I know there are a number of complaints about old games being remastered but personally I love this. As soon as I booted it up, the presentation and art work are very well updated and it looks amazing on a modern display especially now it supports widescreen. I hope there are many more remastered games to come and in the meantime there are plenty of other releases to play each week... :-)
Okay, I'm reviewing this a little late. I have had this title in my game library for many years and never got round to playing it.
Firstly, it worked great on my Windows 11 desktop. As it's an old game there is no option for widescreen but that's to be expected.
The visual style is great, although the mechanics are a little dates compared to newer releases I still enjoyed this very much and wanted to complete it to the end.
There are LOTS of hidden object scenes, and the puzzles are on hard side - I did skip a fair few of them as didn't want to spend the time to work them out.
For an old game it's still great to play, now I only have another twenty or so left in the series to get round to playing :-)
After completing the full game and the bonus chapter in an afternoon I really enjoyed my playthrough.
The visuals are great, overall a very high quality of presentation. The gameplay was fun if not a little generic and predicable, and the story was ok. Voice acting as in a lot of these games could be improved, but it didn't stop me being stuck to my PC until the game was complete.
Nice hidden object scenes, some with lists of things to find others with outlines of objects to find, you can even complete these playing match-3 games instead if you prefer that. Lots of collectibles hidden throughout the game too.
You need to complete the bonus chapter to get all of the collectibles (I missed a few of the morphing objects in the end though, so may need to start again one day :-)
For the first game in this series I am looking forward to playing the sequels to see how the games develop. I'll start the second one tomorrow!
