Ghosts in a western themed game that has very nice crisp and clear graphics. You can picture yourself in the scene. The HOS have a lot of items in them and are nice to look at with the objects being easy to find.
The storyline is simple, nothing new here and the voice-overs are quite good and fit the theme, characters and environment. The custon cursor is fairly large which may be off-putting to some.
The hint system re-charges quickly but is only available in the HOS. The puzzles are nothing new but you are able to skip them.
The HOS and puzzles are very easy which will give little challenge for those expecting more.
There is a journal but no map, which does not affect movement through the scenes.
The gameplay is smooth and it is a nice game which will no doubt be finished easily. If you are looking for good graphics and easy play, then this game will interest you.
Set in the cold and snow, this storyline is nothing new. The graphics are really beautiful and the gameplay smooth and the HOS and puzzles are very easy, even in the hardest mode.
Positives include the great graphics, the gentle music that does overpower or detract, areas closing when actions have been completed and the ease of moving from scene to scene to complete actions. There is no wandering back and forth endelssly which can become frustrating.
This game is very easy and will disappoint those who want a real challenge. Also there is nothing new in terms of HOS or searching for those looking for something new and different, or with a twist.
As a CE, the game is not value for money as I would expect more for the price; ie, longer, more & different things to do.
I will still purchase the game beacuse of the graphics and also the ease because it gives the player the opportunity to actually enjoy everything in a scene rather than having to concentrate on puzzles. And, that can be very relaxing.
Beautiful graphics which were crisp and clear with a lot of things to look at in a scene. A couple of ways to find objects, reminiscent of Crystal Portal games. The scenes were not hard but some of the objects in them took a little more challenge. The puzzles were easy. If you are looking for a real challenge then this game will disappoint but sometimes it is nice to be able to wander through a game at a relaxed mode and enjoy really nice graphics. The hint system is fast. There was a little overuse of sparkles but overall an enjoyable game if you want a nice pace, easier puzzles and beautiful graphics.
The graphics are clear and well drawn but I think the depressing color and ambience detract if you are expecting great artwork. The HOS objects were fine to me - sharp and well drawn and provided a little challenge to find sometimes. The story is once again like so many others but here you also need your health to do things - keeps you searching. There is no ability to use the map to move between areas so there is a lot of going back and forth. Hint button recharges in a reasonable time and the puzzles provide some challenge. All in all, not my favourite type of artwork but a reasonable length and if you ignore the 'redness' of all the scenes, it provides some enjoyment.
This game has nice graphics - not to the standard of other recent games - and is very easy to play. The storyline is like many others. Although there are some different ways of finding objects, there is not a lot to distinguish it from other HOGs. Another in the 'dark' genre. The things that happen in a scene like rain falling and other movements do make it interesting and add more to the scenes. The puzzles really present little challenge and for those expecting more, it may leave them a little disappointed. It was not a long game and I wonder at the value for money as a CE.
I loved this game for the graphics, quirky main character and the different things to do from the usual games. This game was fun and made you think in order to work things out. The very different mini games kept attention and the only thing wrong - it is way too short. I bought the game and played it through 4 times and enjoyed that but the games were the same - perhaps should have had random and different objects in some areas. A nice, fun game with challenges.
This CE HO seems longer than other recent games and is far better value for money. The graphics are very good in making you feel in a dangerous and depressing environment. I liked the mix of HO (especially with secondary actions) and mini games and found that with a little work, they were achievable. I would have liked some more wallpapers but that is minor. I think this is a very good game, a spooky story - will be interesting to see if there is any followup and how. The gameplay was nicely flowing except for the SG - I did not like the way it often took 2-3 times at access the guide. This game gives quite a few hours of enjoyment.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I too love this series but was disappointed by the morphing objects! Way too many and no challenge to sit and watch for changes. I would have rather the HO scenes with some morphing here and there, The puzzles were good and the flow of the game allowed you to challenge yourself and try to work things out without using the SG which was poor and needed a better layout - not just pictures. The puzzles themselves could have used instructions as well. A pretty dark story and certainly not suitable for some ages. Interesting!
Loving the HO games I was wondering if this would be quite short and not value for money. I was very wrong! The graphics are just stunning, the objects fit nicely, the puzzles are a challenge and I thought there was a lot of value here - especially compared to recent CE games. I like the idea of going back and forth and also the number of actual HO scenes was quite impressive. The music is also quite beautiful...
I have followed the Azada series of games and have enjoyed the graphics and the puzzles. Azada In Librio exceeds all expectations with the quality of the graphics and does not disappoint with the types of puzzles. Perhaps the puzzles could have been a little more challenging but at least the player was able to work them out with a little patience. What I found disappointing was the length of the game. I felt the bonus game should have been part of the original and it needed something extra. The cost of a CE seems not to be of value for this game.
