This game is creepy good and scary. Think Stephen King. This game has me wanting to continue so bad after the demo. I won't be able to wait for the SE to be released, although I try not to by CE's anymore. The SE would be the smarter choice. Other reviewers have said it all about the story and gameplay so I will spare you all the details of the game. The only downfall I can see is it is campy and cheesy at times, which is not a negative to me, as I love Stephen King's books. Lol. Try the demo if you like this type of genre.
I recommend this game!

Let me just say "Thank you" to BF for changing our trial time from 60 minutes to 90 minutes. That being said, it is still just a demo, and it may take someone 89 minutes to complete and another person 35 minutes. It just allows those of us who like to take our time through demo's, so we do not miss anything.
Your uncle has come to tell you your parents are in danger from an evil that is plaguing the town. What??? All this time you thought your parents were dead. As you begin to solve the mystery, you learn you are the chosen one, the golden child if you will, and only you can save the world. You do have an owl as an animal helper which doesn't bother me, it's how you are able to reach high places without a ladder.
This game, like so many being released lately, does not have the WOW factor I am looking for. I was beginning to think it was just me until I did a beta survey of another game today, and this had it all, so it is not just me. I couldn't really get hooked into this game. Story is just so so. Graphics are ok, story is ok. Puzzles are either very easy or tedious. HOG are standard, nothing new here. Collectibles are leaves at each location, but they are transparent, so keep your eyes peeled. Like I said, I will wait for the next game that really WOW's me to buy a CE, this one is not it. I do think there are much better games out there right now that are worth the CE price tag. You do get a bonus game, and a extra hidden game. Try the demo, who knows, this one may WOW you.

I am on the fence with this one. Story took awhile to get into and I am still not sure this will be a buy for me. I am going to wait for the SE version and try again. I dont think this is CE worthy. This was not a game that grabbed me in, I just "kind of" wanted to see what happened after the demo. HOS were pretty good. Graphics were o.k. Something was just lacking and I can't put my finger on it. Try the demo you may like it or you may feel like me and just think it is o.k.

This game reminds me of games that came out a few years ago. Nothing like the bells and whistles we have come to expect. That is fine with me as long as the game is good. This one is fair. You are Inspector Perry trying to find a magician and his assistant who mysteriously disappeared. The story was good and did make me want to know more after the demo concluded. The cut scenes were sloppy and skipped a bit here and there. In fact, the during the opening scene the character did not say the entire sentence that was written on the screen, because it was so choppy. The characters were not very pleasing to the eye, but some were better than others. Did anyone else jump when the HINT button was used the first time? Too funny. It was much louder than the rest of the game and the pitch was incredibly high. HOS were basic, nothing special here. Some of the puzzles did not have instructions. There is no map. You cannot change the difficulty level during the game. Some of the mini games were too easy and some were tedious. I did appreciate the story. All in all, it's a fair game. The story did intrigue me and I do want to know what happens next. I think that was the best part of the game. I would say this game is for beginners and intermediate players who want a relaxing game.
I recommend this game!

I absolutely loved this game. With all the custom features you can play as difficult as you like or just a easy breezy. I have to admit, I have grown tired of the same fairy theme, but after the demo, I purchased right away. This game was done so well and really thought out. I appriciate that from the developers. HOG are very fun and I really enjoyed these. Mini games were good and some were pretty difficult to solve. I did feel a little more explanation was needed to solve some of them. I could not understand how to release the fairies from the cage, and resorted to the SG. I really didn't want to skip them. SG was not very helpful in this game. That being said, this game has it all. Fun, beautiful, engaging, challenging, and I thought a great storyline. I did like the bonus chapter as well. For sure 5 star worthy IMO.

I have played this game several times. I am currently playing the Android version. Your character is a man, who is trying to find out what happened to Tommy, your fiance's brother 15 years ago. You end up at the lake house where sinister things are still happening. I like the mini-games and do not mind the HOS as well (I sometimes go through these as fast as I can to get back to the story). This game was well thought out and I do wish new games had the same quality and thoughtfulness. For example: when trying to use a hammer on an item it tells you "if I use the hammer here I might break this, I need something else". I like this much better than the standard "What was I thinking" , "I won't be doing that again" or any of the other canned responses used by developers today. Music is good and this same track is used in many games. Visuals and graphics are good. This was quite a long game IMO and I did not tire of it once. I recommend this game!

This game has it all. My daughter and I have played this game over and over, and have loved every minute. Graphics are outstanding. Game play was intriguing and you feel as if you are really a detective continuing your quest to find the evil preacher who is behind all these mysterious disappearances in Ravenwood. The VO's are good and cut-scenes are great, so I didn't want to skip these. I didn't want to miss a second of this game. HOG's are interactive and charming. Puzzles were at times on the more difficult side and I did have to skip a few. At times the Evidence Board portion of the game was difficult, but it just made me want to get into all clues I was given. Good length for an HOG/Adventure game and I did not get bored toward the end of the game. I immediately played the Bonus game, I was so engulfed in the game I did not want it to end. This game deserves more than 5 stars in my book. Great job!!

I liked the fact this game was released as a stand alone SE, which we have not been seeing lately. I just could not get into this game. The characters were flat, although the VO actors did better than most. This story of "evil fog has taken over the town" has been exhausted, and there was nothing original about the story that grabbed me. I liked that you could skip the HOG's and I do give props to the developer for including this as an option. The HOG's are not interactive and very old school. I felt bored with them and they are not original and interactive like: Cadenza, Rite of Passage, Myths of the World, etc. Graphics were blurry and not up to par with what we have been accustom to. Slow cursor and game play. The game actually froze on my computer, which never happens to me with Big Fish Games, so I am surprised. The writing on the cut-scenes was extremely blurry and did give me a headache. I did appreciate the puzzles which had a new little twist and were pretty difficult. I like more adventure with puzzles, instead HOG heavy like this game. All in all, not too bad of a game, just did not capture my attention to make me purchase.
I don't recommend this game.
