Wow, what an outstanding game! So creative and fun! The graphics and sounds/voiceovers really enhanced the game. The game does have a helper, which I normally don't like but Bertha the Ferret was very entertaining. I mean how can you go wrong with a ferret in a hazmat suit! The storyline did drag on a little at some points but I liked that the main character was an adult child trying to save his parent.....no children to feel sorry for like most games. Overall, an outstanding game that you should definitely try!
Pros - Unique, multi-layer HOGs. If you like different kinds of HOGs, then this game is for you.
Cons - I found the puzzles and mini-games very easy but since they were not the usual challenges, I did enjoy them.
I recommend this game!

I normally don't like fantasy stories but I enjoyed the demo so I bought it. Unfortunately, after playing for a while, I just kept hoping it would end soon. The storyline was so disjointed and seemed to stretch out for no reason. It's one of those games where you continuously find objects only to use them in a scene much later on. I had no idea what the story was after a while.
Pros - Lots of HOGs. If you like HOGs where you have to find objects in sequential order, this game has a bunch! Also, I thought the graphics and sound were very good.
Cons - I found the puzzles very easy, with many of them involving tiles. Also, as I said, the storyline dragged on and on and I lost track of the goal a little over half way through. Lastly, I felt very odd that my mother turned into an ermine and I had to have her fetch items for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Let me preface this by saying I love a good adventure game but I have also found games that just have a series of HOGs entertaining also. Unfortunately, this game couldn't hold my attention for more than 8 minutes.....there's just too many aspects like your health, money, etc. to just relax and enjoy the game. The graphics and storyline are simplistic and you just keep playing the same rooms over and over. Odd but I found it simplistic and confusing......
I don't recommend this game.

Opinion -
I usually enjoy games that aren't over the top and full of frills but this game had too much wrong to enjoy it in the least. The storyline was very predictable and seemed to drag on. At one point, I had 7 items in my inventory (I hate carrying around a lot of stuff) and everywhere I went needed a handle (a drawer, a door, a trapdoor, etc.). Of course I didn't have a handle! Really? The creators couldn't be more imaginative?
Pros - I thought the graphics in the HOGs was very clear and concise.
Cons - Where do I begin? The graphics in most scenes were blurry and often when I clicked on an area with the magnifying glass, the text flashed on the screen and I couldn't retrieve it again. The music was beyond awful....irritating to say the least. But what bugged me the most is the amount of typographical errors. In this day and age there is NO reason for this type of sloppy, untested distraction! Sorry but even if this game were free I'd pass on it.
I don't recommend this game.

I love a classic whodunnit mystery. Forget all the ghosts, aliens, and other fantasy characters, this game was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish! The storyline was great where you play the detective of a murder mystery in a gigantic mansion. You interview suspects and collect evidence and the HOGs and puzzles are on point with the story.
Pros - Exceptional graphics and music with lots of unique, entertaining HOGs.
Cons - The puzzles were a little on the easy side but I loved how they were uniform with the story.

This game is so addicting! At first I thought I was transported back to 1990s when I couldn't get enough of the Police Quest games. But the story took over very quickly and even though theres a lot of reading, like a good book, it goes fast. It is one of the best storylines of all the games I've played. I loved it!
Pros - Great storyline and lots of HOGs and puzzles. If you like a lot of puzzles and HOGs, this game is for you. I also liked that you can play with a timer or without.
Cons - There is a magnifier to use throughout the game but even with it I found the graphics to be gritty or blurry at times. The one thing that irritated me was the reoccuring game of pick the lock. Other than that, I thought the puzzles were unique and not too easy/hard.
Try it!
I recommend this game!

Overall, I enjoyed the game. The storyline was unpredictable with a mixture of fairytale and original characters. I especially liked Maria and the odd grumpy fairy godmother. I did however, lose the storyline with so much unpredicatability as the story seemed disjointed at times.
Pros - Unique, fun HOGs. If you like different kinds of HOGs, then this game is for you. Also, I thought the sound was excellent. From the ambient sound to the game music, it really added to the overall game.
Cons - I found the game, puzzle and HOGs all very easy. If your looking for challenging games, I would advise you to download the trial version first. Also, I found the graphics very 2 dimensional that could have brought a lot to the story but failed.
I recommend this game!

I very rarely dislike a game because of its functuality but this one frustrated me. There are only two levels - casual and advanced and I felt like I was playing a game from 10 years ago. The graphics are poor and there was very little flow of storyline. The most frustrating part, for me, are the navigation controls. It is very confusing just finding them as sometimes you need to have the inventory lock on to show them. Not worth it to me.
