Varenje is a hidden object game on the lines of The Tiny Bang Story and My Brother Rabbit (Collector's Edition) and consists of a journey where the player must find and put together a number of components to make useful objects. The game only has one difficulty level. There is a little puzzle to solve everytime the Hint is used. Worth a look and might be suitable for youngsters.
For those gamers who like puzzles, this game is an absolute must to play. Okay, it won't be to everybody's taste - no hidden object scenes here - but a puzzler's paradise. The minigames appear to get harder as the game progresses but, unusually for a SE game, there is a very humourous walkthrough (hidden in the "extras" and described as a Cheater's Compendium). Congratulations to the devs and BF - a real pearl!
Based on the trial - for as long as I could be bothered playing - this is a very old-school offering from Big Fish; a couple of years out-of-date with the present speed of improvements and innovations from games devs . The game is not helped by very ordinary graphics and extremely boring voiceovers. Gameplay features easy puzzles and straightforward HOPs. But each to their own - maybe worth a trial to see for yourself.
What a pleasant surprise from an unknown (to me, anyway) dev! Creative HOPS and imaginative minigames and it's only Tuesday! The demo begs a try - a sure buy for me.
Once more into a dark and ghoulish world - but at least the graphics are bold and colourful. To rescue your missing fiance you must neutralise various gatekeepers etc with appropriate articles you find. There are more puzzles, at least in the trial, than HOS - the latter contain easy interactive elements. The soundtrack is suitably moody; the voiceovers OK. In all, well worth playing the trial for yourself.
I recommend this game!

Yuletide Legends: The Brothers Claus Collector's Edition
Based on the trial this beautifully-crafted game is very easy and should be perfect for all the family to play together. The HOPS are varied and include some to find objects to match clues. The puzzles are very easy and inventory items tend to be of immediate use. The game abounds with cute characters (and a few naughty elves) and ,unless things get a lot more serious later in the game, there are no characters likely to scare the kids. A very high-quality presentation; if it was designed for family entertainment it succeeds very well.
No need for a detailed review after the earlier thorough descriptions. Enough to say it is a puzzler's delight - even before you leave HQ - with the promise of a lengthy adventure. These devs have been producing consistently interesting and innovative games over the last few years and this promises to be one of their best. Enjoy!
This review is based on an admittedly short sample of about 70 mins of the trial but the game, IMO, really doesn't do justice to these innovative devs. More thorough and detailed reviews have given descriptions of the gameplay etc but there doesn't seem to be anything original about the game; necessary inventory items are found nearby, HO scenes are lacklustre, mini-games are few and easy. Graphics and audio are fine as one would expect but do not compensate for a distinctively average game. I can't speak highly enough of the impact these devs have had on these casual games since they appeared , but ....
A fire breaks out during a concert, and now your daughters are both missing. Hurry to track them down – their music may hold the key to life and death!
This is possibly the most "complete" game of 2014. It has highly interactive HOS (not too many), dioramas and lots of very imaginative minigames. The devs, not one of the most frequent on BF, have done a wonderful job and have set a great standard for other HOPS.
I recommend this game!

The Torment of Mont Triste Collector's Edition
No one dares fall asleep in the village of Mont Triste... for when sleep arrives, so does the mysterious Lord of Nightmares.
This review is based on the hour's trial. The game contains story threads seen in other games but spun into a slightly different form. Several nightmares must be entered and "cured". The graphics are clear and run smoothly - the sound quality is unmemorable. The game will be popular with players who do not like too much running backwards and forwards as a lot of usable items seem to be located close to their destinations. Hidden object scenes are kept to a minimum and contain intereactive elements. There are impish collectibles to be found. The main attraction of the game lies in the number and variety of the puzzles to be solved. Even played in the hardest of the three modes of difficulty this promises to be great fun and well worth thwe purchase.
