Many of the puzzles were much too easy, but I enjoyed the game anyway. It held my interest and kept me motivated from the beginning to the end, and that is all I can really ask for.
The story is fantastic and it actually incorporates the running around and puzzle solving into the plot so that it actually makes sense.
The puzzles and HOS's are very well done and fun. My only complaint is that some of them were a little small in the pop up window and difficult to see.
The villain taunts you as you go through the game and it is excellent acting as opposed to silly like many games you may have played. It really adds to the intrigue and keeps you motivated. The cut scenes are also well done.My only complaint with the sound effects is the incessant coughing by the main character. It didn't bother me as bad until the bonus chapter, when I finally had to turn down the sound effects volume because it was getting on my nerves.
The CE is not necessary, but I will say that the ending of the bonus chapter was very good.
Everything about this game is mediocre. It just doesn't satisfy on any level.
Some of the mini games are very vague on instructions and were frustrating. The portions on the recipes were impossible to figure out without looking it up on a walk through.
There was a long pause in the music loop that left you wondering what happened to the music. One of the best parts about these games is the music and its irritating when it isn't there.
I felt this game was too long because I wasn't really enjoying it.
A UFO is rumored to have landed in the small town of Tundel and the mayor is trying to conceal it. Run your own journalistic investigation and learn the truth behind the event!
I don't know if this game was easier and made more sense or if maybe I am just learning how to play these types of games, but I didn't need the hint button at all on this one, which is a much different story than the previous Phenomenon titles. It is still mostly finding objects to plug into mechanisms with a few puzzles that keep getting repeated and HOS's thrown in for a little variety. It was fun but I wish there were more puzzles. The HOS's are very well done again on this one.
The Bonus chapter and extra content weren't worth the higher price, but they usually aren't. The SE would be just great for this title.
Voice acting and cut scenes were well done and the music was acceptable.
I wish I would have waited for the SE, but it was overall an enjoyable experience.
I enjoyed this one more than Meteorite, but there was still too much object collecting and slot filling. You really have to scour each area to make sure you have found everything. There were still too many things in this game that didn't make much sense, or maybe I just missed it. But I did have to use the hint button more than a few times. By the last part I think I started getting it and I didn't have to use the hint button at all.
The game looks pretty good, though not as good as Meteorite. The music is acceptable.
The ending leaves the story hanging, apparently leaving it for the sequel to finish it up.
Overall, I thought it was a pretty good experience and felt that the story was much better than Meteorite.
The Game has a nice atmosphere. It looks beautiful and the music is pleasant.
The HOS's are very well done. If you can't find something, you have the option of playing a word game instead, so it is better than hitting the hint button.
The puzzles were very good, but there wasn't near enough of them. I felt there was way too much of collecting objects to fit into mechanisms. I would much rather play a mini puzzle rather than place objects into slots. The science fiction nature of the story opened the door for some very unusual mechanisms. This made it difficult to know what you were supposed to do with all of the strange devices you had collected. The hint button was very good at directing you to the correct location and action but I don't like it when I have to use the hint option so much in a game.
The ending was left open and is to be continued in the next installment of the series, so it doesn't really stand alone.
I enjoyed the game overall and look forward to playing the next one.
Professor Ashmore, the same man who so kindly took you in and raised you as his own has been murdered. It’s up to you to find out why, but are you prepared for what truths may be uncovered?
All of the puzzles are very simple and have been done many times before. One alchemy puzzle is actually repeated in the bonus content twice!
The hidden object scenes should actually be called the visible object scenes.
The story is one of the worst I have ever seen. The climax at the end of the game is ridiculous and laughable.
The music is monotonous and eventually gets on your nerves. There is actually one part that sounds like someone is trying to learn how to play the piano(and not very well).
Despite the cons I have just mentioned, there was enough entertainment value to recommend this to beginners with a free credit. It is a long enough game including the bonus chapter and has some interesting moments. Some might enjoy blowing some time on it even though there are many instances when you will feel that you are only performing tedious busy work.
